White Men Can Jump Too

Nice fresh green tomatoes at my vegetable garden. I'm loving the outcome of their growth because my husband told me that the tomatoes I planted last summer wont even grow up because I planted it late for its season and it's from the seedlings of tomatoes I used for cooking. That's right, I took all the seeds from the ripe tomatoes and then just sprinkled these big seeds on the surface of the garden plot, on the soil and it started from its lonely beginning at first and in 2 days the tiny green sprout of life looked upward yearning for sunlight. The tomato plants grow slowly but steadily and without blemish and nobody from the insect community bothers them unlike the bean plants where daddy long legs, beetles, moths and dragonflies visit them most of the time.

You know what? After my husband gathered the mature beans from the bean plants for seedlings noticed that the plant stopped bearing beans. Nagtampo. Or could it be that their "season" is over and the  onslaught of production must remain inactive. Over! It's Autumn!!! Okay, beans. It's okay we had enough seedlings for next year's gardening season and hopefully those seeds will yield a good harvest. In my thought, seedlings are not good enough that they will grow after having observed of 50 seeds planted on that plot of soil and only 8 seeds grew up, crawled and yield bean veggies. Gathered at least 300 pcs. of beans strand including the beans for seedlings. My husband managed to store at least 2 bags of beans to keep in the freezer.

Then husband is thinking of going fishing again before winter so that when he catches salmons he can smoke them (bbq flavor), again for safe-keeping in the freezer. White people, the Caucasians have that certain futuristic thinking of keeping extra non-perishable food. They always think about the future.

You probably asked why houses in Canada and United States of America have bigger garage. Their garage is bigger than their living room or kitchen, simply because most White men have the love for work tools. They keep wrench, screw driver sets, carpentry tools and gardening tools. Like one set is not enough. Aside from having work tools that he bought from the past, he buys new kind of tools every six months. Then he inherited all the work tools from his Dad that he is renting another storage to keep those tools. He owns a dozen reliable fishing rods and he bought more fishing rods and won brand new fishing rods when he attended an auction- beach party. That's what White-Caucasian men's kind of thinking. Of course it has something to do with leisure with pleasure that invest on food. Fishing is not just for leisure it's a way to search  fish for food.

Cheapskate Or Economically Wise?

I don't know about you if you are cheapskate or just economically wise or in other words being "thrifty."

Well, I know of so many people who are very "thrifty." It's better to be called thrifty rather than being cheap. Consider myself being in the "club of being thrifty but wise."

There are so many shoes I had in the past that I keep hiding in the closets and I can't throw them away or give them away because I know there will be a time that I can wear them on special occasions. I don't know when but you know someday. I am wearing a house slippers that I can't throw away because it is comfortable on my feet but anyone who could see this old pair of slippers will cringe and frown. I only used the pair of slippers at home not wearing them at the supermarket or at the mall. You probably wonder why the First lady Mrs. Marcos still have those 3,500 pairs of shoes simply because she also doesn't want to throw her old shoes. There are too many showbiz personalities whose shoes are probably over that 3,500 pairs of shoes of Mrs. Marcos and some of them do not throw their shoes away. How many pairs of shoes do you think each one of us have in a life time if you'll have to count them? People from wealthy families will wear pair of shoes once or twice then donate their shoes but when they heard of Mrs. Marcos shoe collection they would rather keep their shoes to be the next in Guiness World Record of  Shoes count. I heard one showbiz personality has reached a collection of 5,000 pairs of shoes. Wow! She probably owned a shoe store or owned a shoe factory business.

If it's not shoes then clothing, dress, fashion tops, pants and accessories. For me everything that I bought is precious. You wont believe that the dresses I had since the time I got married have them all in my closet and suitcases. Unfortunately most of my dresses that time were size 0-1. It's hard to believe that my waistline measured 21" (23" with allowance because I don't like wearing too tight-fitting dress). Some other clothes had given them away.

Not too many dress, tops (blouse), pants that truly fit customers because some of these items are not your size when they were sewn at the factory. They have their own models for their clothing. Alterations are made to make clothes fit for you or just fit to your size in fitting rooms at the retail outlets to make sure before you buy them. Most of the time those who are in a hurry end up coming back for exchange at the customer service's counter. I bought two blouses (discounted) on sale and can't return them. I first thought I like those clothes but when I get home don't really like them. Yeah this is me. I am fickleminded.

I bought a pair of shoes last year before Christmas, it was not even on sale and I bought them. At home... while I parade wearing that pair of shoes for a minute or two then realized I don't really like it. OMG! What a waste! Yeah that's what pisses of my husband. But when I like shoes, shoes that I really, really like I will buy two pairs of same style of shoes, same brand but different colors (one pair of shoes in black and one pair of shoes in white color). It's the same thing with fashionable tops, two of different colors either blue and the other top in orange color. Sometimes I would rather have white colored blouse and another blouse in red color (same style, same brand blouse). My sense of fashion is either weirdly strange or fashionable or maybe old-fashioned?

Microchip Tags

We knew and aware that most of the animals in our world today were tagged with microchip implants. So many marine mammals in the form of whales, dolphins, sea lions, sturgeons, had chip implants to have a total count of such sea creatures. The scientists knew the total count and how many of these creatures will be extinct in the next hundred years. Other jungle/zoo animals: elephants, lions, leopards, cheetah, tigers, elks, deers, moose some of these animals were chip-tagged already.

What we don't know... don't know whether human beings are already microchip implanted.

However, there are many movies and television series when human beings had that microchip implants. Bionic Man and Bionic Woman played by Six Million Dollar Lee Majors and Lyndsay Wagner, they had microchip implants on their bodies. Bionic man had chip on his eye. The Terminator has microchip implants. The NCIS Chief agent has microchip implant on his eye so that he can open the secret door for confidential files for NCIS. Freddy of iCarly TV Show has chip implant. Daniel Craig as James Bond has microchip implant so that his own mother can find him wherever he is. The producer of  BTR Group has microchip implant. ONLY IN MOVIES & TV Series? Only for the story. Only in fiction?

Who else has microchip implants? Microchip implants are expensive!

In other words, the only people who can afford microchip implants are the rich and famous.

Do you haggle whenever you buy something? I know that "haggling" is practiced only in the Philippines , in asian countries, in second-hand stores, or garage sales but where and when is the right to do the haggling?

Not many stores provide discounted items when second-hand stores also increase the price of their products simply because they pay for the rent on the space where donated items are stored and they have to pay workers and of course they have to pay utilities. I don't know for sure if the management of second-hand stores washed the clothes they are selling on their counters. However, to make sure that what you are buying are safe to wear you as buyers should also washed and ironed those clothes as pre-caution.

I know, sometimes so many of us would rather visit and shop at the second hand stores because you know, there are clothing there that are of better quality, with stylish designs and brand names of famous designers just that those clothes were already been worn before by others. Designer  Clothes, shoes, bags and belts and accessories worthy of praise they are your choice of the "quality" you think is chosen for yourself to wear and used but at a price that is reasonable in today's standard.

In Department stores? What are the products being sold at the department stores or at the malls? Are they of good quality? Do you think the products they were selling passed the quality control? What you need to look at? Is the service within the range of high-performance quality? What kind of service is being played?

I like being able to choose what I really or what is being advertised as the true real price tag of such product. I don't like being fooled when it comes with pricing. Not all products are perfect we know that all along. When you reached the discounted products automatically you know that the products had run out of the season and stocks are almost finished and or discontinued of such product or the demand has been fully utilized and brand new products are coming in and the management need new space for the arrival of new stocks for the season. I know, been there done that. I worked in department store before. I KNOW and I'm fully aware of the trend. You really don't have to fool me or ask questions or ask phone numbers or email address. Good that I have photographic memory and I can remember the face of those people. For some people who are working in department stores? Can't you recognize your loyal customers?

Have you been to other stores? They asked you to sign up a form and or supply their customers with the Supermarket cards so that they can avail of their discounted items and their cards are FREE as automatic members without the need to pay for membership.

My God! What the hell is happening with our society nowadays? Almost everyone asked for ID's. You have ID and someone at the till still is having anxiety whether they believe you or not as owner of that particular ID. No wonder some people have tattoos all over their bodies to separate them from the rest of would be impersonators or look-alikes. There is no such thing as human being as perfectly alike in so many ways even identical twins have differences in facial features. Is your VISION perfect? Do you have 20/20 vision? If your sales clerks have problem with vision please let them have a check-up and have eyeglasses, contact lenses. All department store clerks, retail clerks should have mandatory eye check-up and psychological tests. If this distrust of human beings will continue the so called MICROCHIP IMPLANT will be the last resort and it will be on your forehead! I want the sales clerks and cashiers have microchip implants on their foreheads and they have to scan their foreheads first before the foreheads of their customers.

Or be prepared to have the microchip implant hanging through your nose. Beep! beep!

Purgetory Not

OMG! It's already the 20th of September. It's Wednesday and I'm waiting for the delivery of the local newspaper. I can't understand why the delivery of newspaper varies most of the time. In the past the delivery is somewhat too early, very punctual, no misses whatsoever. Then in the past months this year of 2017, the delivery is late, sometimes no delivery for a week, then two weeks. I could only think of that maybe the delivery guy whoever was sick or on vacation and there's no reliever for the delivery. Or because the local newspaper is already in the internet. Yes, the Mirror is available on Facebook.

Anyway, sometimes it is good to have the newspaper delivered at the doors of our homes. Know why? We all need to see what's on the flyers. We have to collect  coupons! We have to see what's happening in our local community and what's on "SALE" at our favorite supermarkets and retail stores. You know... good mothers should be economically WISE! Be thrifty when it comes to clothing and shoes but not on FOOD.

You have kids? You have a large or huge family that needs help with clothing and clothing accessories? People need to change clothes, especially old, worn-out clothes they have to be replaced, CHANGE is exactly the appropriate term for a change to make a difference.

I watch TV all the time and when I see those news reporters wearing the same kind of clothing when broadcasting news, I felt like... "hey, are you broadcasting same old stories or same old rerun news?"
That's right! News reporters have to change their clothes everyday or at least accessorized their old clothing if they wear the same dress they wore before when they broadcasted new news just to make us feel that what we are watching are the NEWest or LATEST NEWS not hoard news.

Our Home Is Our Cinema

I don't get out most of the time because there's no need actually. Some people in the neighborhood seldom get out too. Majority of the people in Canada are mostly seniors. There are more old people than young people in Canada.

Just when you hear news about how high the price of homes in Canada you can only shake your head and wonder why. The minimum wage is only $10.25/hr.  to $12/hour. We live by paycheque to paycheque. You need at least 3 jobs to work on to bring food on the table. The seniors live on fixed income so who are these other people are kidding? I don't believe that there are millionaires or billionaires. Show us the money!!!!! To see is to believe.

Yes it's true that there are so many million fake news. That if you are over 50 years old be very vigilant. Learn to ask every news and gossips you listen to because maybe they are fake news and pitches for their favorite games.

However, do they fake the weather news? I hope not! So I heard that Edmonton received their first snowfall. Yeah in September 2017. It's cooler days now. I opened my door of our house and got the chills. My hairy arms and legs stood up, got goosebumps as if I have seen pennywise in IT.

I have seen the old movie IT of Stephen King, it's not that scary, don't know if the new IT in the cinema is scarier. Nothing scares me now because The Walking Dead and Fear TWD are two TV Series that are worst in horror theme inspired movie. I mean what could be worst than zombies?

How about THE MUMMY? The latest mummy movie of Tom Cruise is somewhat new, the story is different from the mummy of Brendan Fraser. If you like HELLRAISER the movie then you will be interested in watching Tom Cruise's movie.

WAKE UP!

I WORK! Who said I don't work? I work everyday even on Saturdays and Sundays.
All mothers work at home everyday whether they work outside of the house.

I have three children... I started my work in Canada after coming back from a vacation in Philippines in 1995. My close friend and I owned a Janitorial Services and we both worked in that "partnership" until my family moved out from that city, moved in to another part of the province of BC. Would you believe that? My twins were only 7 months old and my first son was only 1 year old. It was hard to be a working mom. You wont know how hard until you are in my situation and you know what work is.
I am not lazy. There are times that I don't know what time, whether I sleep at night looking and caring after my young babies. My husband works too. He had a job as a manager and managed to look after our young children when I was at work.This is the kind of life in Canada. We seldom rely on outside help from others. My husband's family: parents and sisters live farther away from us in the island and my parents live in the Philippines. My husband are both matured enough to have a family and when you have children you have a moral duty and obligation. Outside help only if you can't support your family. 

Probably the rich and most affluent family have help, housemaids that they can afford. You know the millionaires get the help in the households, having nannies and cooks. But you know how many millionaires out there? In the truest sense of the word "millionaires!"

I worked in our small business when we moved to the island however, with the pulp mills and sawmills and other major industry closing down within the island , shut down for good!!!!! You know how devastating that kind of disorganization in the economic downturns and the whole island suffered, the hundred thousands of inhabitants suffered because of such massive economic downfall. It's not a normal happening or unfortunate events happening in Canada because it originally an economic slump in the US and Canada and other neighbouring countries were affected. It was like a domino effect. 

Years have passed by and suddenly year after year new economic measures were tried and tested. Rebuilding towards progress were made... thanks to the brightest teams Finance Minister Mr. Flaherty and former PM Harper. We were able to make use of the latest technology COMPUTERS have helped us in times of the slumps, the Silicon Valley has thrived, BILL GATES, STEVE JOBS, SERGEY BRIN, MARK ZUCKERBERG and the many software engineers carried the banner of being afloat in times of  "poverty and depression." Computer softwares are the new pulp, logs  and lumber. What to do? We cannot cut all the remaining standing trees within the island and within BC. We cannot mine all the minerals and metals on earth or else the magnetosphere will run out thin and you'll be floating in space. Gravity, gravity. Computer technology is great! It leave us wondering whether it's the computers who are smartest and brightest or the people behind the machine. Of course the people behind the machine! Thanks to the machines, people are being helped. Sounds cliche? I don't need drama! In computers? No drama please. Or the machines will tell you to F*O*

Hello where's the U? Ahahahhahaha! That's what we expect with robots to be humorous with great  sense of humor. We also want the robots to slow down so that  financial well being of everyone will be safe and in good hands.

Anyway, how time flies? It's year 2017 now... and then an EI suddenly brags about herself on TV as if she is a goddess hiding from the bunker still silly and afraid. Yes there are stups like that I met her before, she looked down at Filipinos when they are smarter than her. She's sourgraping.

It's 2017 and Harvey and Irma left the U.S.A. All what's left are mess and debris and unfortunately sad people who are alive and who knew already in the past the devastation of living in calamity area. It's the same thing in Philippines when great typhoons, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions had devastated their homes, and properties...learn from them THEY KNEW HOW TO PICK UP THE PIECES, except picking up sequeened gowns and party dresses donated for the victims of Mount Pinatubo. Because year after year, there will be natural causes of mother nature's power that we cannot stop. You should know by now!

Action Is Louder Than Words. Prove It.

Isn't it weird why so many people by the millions would rather face their computer screen just to be "alone" and spend so much time surfing, viewing, watching their favorite you tube videos, others spent so much time; hours and hours of playing games with their close friends and unknown friends. Sometimes they forgot about who they are and forgot to have dinner, lunch and breakfast they are so consumed of their presence in the internet that they forgot that they have a family and they also had forgotten the true real purpose of their own existence.

I feel sorry for these people who are mostly young people. Their innocence were ravaged and consumed by the internet world. They were so desperate about something that their ambitions have been ruined.Who we have to blame? Einstein what we need to do?

Well it would be just okay if these young people are paid to play their games and their stay in the internet are worthy of praise.

You know that there are work out there that needs to be done. You don't have to wait for those rodents to do your work. There are so many work waiting out there after the hurricanes, after all the mess are scattered for some responsible people (who they are?) to pick up and throw in the dumpsite. Right, you need cranes and other machines and tools to keep a certain place free of mess and other debris brought on by monster storms such as  Harvey and Irma.

Hundred thousands of people are displaced and homeless. It 's the same case  here in Canada when the wildfire started causing unbelievable damages. All we can share with those victims are fervent prayers with hope that there are divine interventions and the wealthiest, the richest people on earth will have the conscience to help in terms of material things. Material things are: money, basic needs, shelter and all that your eyes can see. Spiritual could be that helpful too if you pray inside the Church and temples and offer "money" for those victims. However, it seems that the rich and wealthy people would rather give and donate to the Red Cross.Why the Red Cross? That, you have to inquire the giver for answers. Inquire at the RED CROSS Stations within your area. Inquire the GOVERNMENT. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA HAS A GOVERNMENT AND A LIVING PRESIDENT and they should know what to do. They are elected in the Highest Office to provide for their people. They have Government branches and agencies that supply the required assistance and support. As if you don't know. Every year hurricanes had a landfall in America. Every year, that no landfall of calamity is stronger than the other. Every year for the past hundred years hurricanes should be nothing in our generation.

In all honesty, only the higher leader of one's country can attest to his people if they receive donations or budget for all the calamities because only those leaders will know if there's  a need for help. They know how to react and do the actions in this time more than ever. ACTION IS LOUDER THAN WORDS.

One by one those with VOICEs can make a difference. Prove your worth.

HOWEVER,  WARNING! Beware of scammers and fraudsters, looters and hoarders.

Same Old Story? Same Old Story Too In Another Planet

Oh no! I forgot to take the chair pads from the patio set. Now that they are all wet because of the night showers last night and this morning then have to wish that it will be sunny today but I don't think so... looking up the sky, its cloudy day so we might experience more rainy days or could be a mild storm coming up soon. Isn't that what we want and wishing for the past months, days and God knows the people in the BC Interior also are praying for cooler days not just rainfall.

Autumn here we come... That's what it is, expect the unexpected September to October. The color of leaves are changing and we can't stop them from falling.

At the time when I'm planning to do my sewing project, department stores are having their seasonal sale which is too good to be true. I'm truly economically wise when it comes to buying discounted items at Wal-Mart & Superstore. Why not? Why buy expensive clothing when you only want to wear it once or twice. That's what happened with dress worth $500 you can only wear it once for a very special occasion. While the normal regular kind of clothing you can wear them several times inside your home for as long as you washed/dried and cleaned them properly. It doesn't matter to repeat wearing the same kind of clothes for next week just make sure they are clean, sanitized and they fit you right. All you need is better bathe everyday and keep yourself clean too. Remember: Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

The Others

IT seems to me that some relatives of mine, mostly those who were closest to me don't bother or disturb me anymore. Well, part of it is because they probably can read me in my blogs thr. the internet. What to miss?

Yes, they know how to read! I can't stop them from reading my "story-telling blogs."

I myself read other people's blogs. There's only one rather  two blogwriters I read from Philippines. You want to know who out of curiosity? First is the heckler who blogs anonymously, don't know his name but he's really good at "shooting at people whether they are popular, famous or not." Shooting without bullets,  vindictive or just plain being professional heckler. His style is like a rapid firing without remorse. How could he do that? How courageous of him to pin-point mistakes of influential people but that's where he stands so brave and there's only one like him in Philippines para syang si "Al Mendez." Professional heckler is a critic, comedian with style. He always made me laugh at the way he shoots criticisms at  those people he disliked. Or maybe he likes those "people."

Then there's that sassy lawyer. She said she is sassy so better believe it. I don't know if she is 100% Filipina because she looks like Korean. Whatever! She could be from Chinese ancestry. She loves to cook and likes to writes/posts recipes which I don't. I don't know why she quit MS Newspaper company. The newspaper where she worked before, the newspaper I used to read when I was young and reading most of the time the column article of the columnist Emil Jurado. Know what? I would rather read from her some political views and reviews or gossips not her cooking cuisines.

I should add the blogger/blind-item writer who popularized the blog "Now What Cat?" but she already passed away of cancer and never writes anymore. R.I.P. The writer who was also a clairvoyant. Her blind-items are source of gossip among showbiz personas. And I like to guess "WHO's WHO in her blind items. Surely she's been missed by her loyal followers/readers.

Then some other foreign blogwriters who I think their blog posts are very interesting:

1. Soulemama. She's that one hardworking momma whose children keep
 her busy all the time but found time to knit (from scratch yarns and wool combed from her own nurtured herds of sheep) and do some gardening, canning and sewing clothes.

2. Gigi from Hawaii. Her continuous view of her wonderful life in Hawaii with her family and friends. Korean married to White American. Both of them are Hawaiian-Americans. Who would have known she's Korean because she looks like Hawaiian. She's that frugal, mumu fashionista middle aged woman who tells story as it is, straightforward and it comes with the age. She's gorgeous when she was young. She could be Nancy Kwan eh? I think had seen her in "Hawaii Five-O" old series before when I was very young.

3. Kay. Also from Hawaii. She's Korean or Japanese? She's American! Anyway, she's a retired teacher and her use of the English Language is apt to who knows how to read English.

Anything out of the ordinary in English is not an original English rather it's a mixed. Shakespeare's language is not English it's "an ode to twist your tongue and hopefully your  brains got twisted too." lol

Those people looking for spelling demons to propagate that their English language and grammar is better than any other educated persons then better study other foreign language and you'll know that you can appreciate that English is simple, easy to understand and offers no war but peace of mind. Now can you understand what I have just written up there?

Other people love  to control. When you cannot understand them... they think they are so great, marvellous and God's gift to mankind. Truth is LISTEN to this I HATE DRAMA! I have no time for your kind of drama. Maybe collect some drums and play with them.

Toll FEE Over At Two Bridges

The NDP Party led by the new BC Premier elect John Horgan promised thaCanadians wont need to pay the toll fee at those two famous BC Bridges such as the Port Mann Bridge and Golden Ears Bridge. Is that good?

Starting today, September 1, 2017 no one should pay any toll fee ($10.90/each pass) at those two bridges because its UNFAIR for those drivers who crossed the bridges twice or four times a day to get to their workplace.

Imagine a cab driver passing through those two bridges more than ten times per day? So silly eh?
Besides, I don't think those cameras can capture the vehicles license plates unless if they are too slow in driving or want to show off that they were there at Port Mann's. To pay those toll fees the TREO company should provide photos of the vehicles and the vehicle's license plate as evidence that somehow their vehicles arrive at that point in time crossing the bridges. However, some drivers probably are too honest to say they crossed the bridge so many times or at least one time just for souvenir memory after all other people live far, far away from those bridges.  It's about honesty and what else can you explain that there are drones swirling those bridges? Just asking, lol. Maybe trolls.

To send photos captured by such digitalized cameras above the bridge can cost more than the price tag of $10.90/pass if photos are sent to your homes . Not worth it. The INK and mail envelope and stamps? Not worth it. Seriously find another project and funding to make lots of money.

Promise is a promise and there's NO MORE TOLL FEES in PORT MANN BRIDGE and GOLDEN EARS BRIDGE. Now, is that too much to be thankful?
