TOO EARLY

 I'll be the cook today but let me check our fridge if there is left-over. lol. We had barbecued chicken last night, steamed rice, steamed caulliflower and milkfish - deep fried. 

 

The milkfish was already marinated inside a package when husband bought it from Superstore. Too many products from Philippines are now available in Canadian supermarket and that's a good thing so many choices. The population of Filipinos are getting stronger and visible in Canada that's why and knowing the Filipinos they love to cook, they love to have big gatherings and they bought a lot of stuff, they bought Canadian products and then send to Philippines through Balikbayan boxes.  No wonder every country in the world want them to migrate to their countries. In other words they help with the economy therefore they are not a burden. Filipinos are one of the most hardworking people...no doubt about it.

I will have BBQ pork with garnishing like a shishkebabs or something. Or we could have pork sinigang for supper. It's too early to plan  anyway.

BBQ PORK. Marinated the pork with salt, pepper, onions , ground garlic, soy sauce, olive oil or canola oil, ground oregano, chili powder.

BBQ PORK with mushrooms, tomatoes, onions. Sprinkle with soy & lime juice.

Absolutely yummy with steamed rice.

STRANGE DREAM

 Wrapped 50 lumpia (spingrolls) at very early morning today for our lunch. I also wrapped turon. You know what turon is? It's a banana wrapped in lumpia wrapper. Yummy!

Tuesday is my day to cook and I'm already planning of the menu for the day. So lumpia is for lunch and for dinner is burger & fries. At summer when the weather is hot, hamburger, fries and veggie salad is the best. 

Nothing much to report on my blog today and I don't want to bore you with my artworks. A lot of things had happened actually but I am not in the liberty to divulge it at this point in time. Maybe I have to consult the FBI, CIA & NBI. No kidding. I know like watching FBI, CSI, and guess what, The KOLLECTIVE is a good suspense series about citizen journalists they are freelance journalists.

For now, let us go on with our lives, worry free. Oh, I had a dream again last night. OMG! My Mother-in law and my Sister in law in it. I was so happy to see my dear Mother-in law. She told me while giving me a big hug, " Verna, I'm not blue, I'm always for the Red."  What?! What's that about? I was about to ask what she meant by what she said but my dream ended just like that. So that dream got me thinking that I told it to my husband. My husband told me that maybe it is about political party. 

Wow! I'm having two dreams within a week. What's going on? The good thing about it is I can remember them.

And I baked my favourite blueberry/carrot/ banana muffins.

UMBRELLA

Raining dogs and cats? Not really! Looks like it's gonna be sunny and hot today and in the next few days. We might experience the heat dome. Unless you pray fervently for a fair weather that is worthy for all of us.

WISDOM OF YODA

 LIFE GOES ON for the vulnerable starving people of Gaza. The donations of edible foods arrived through parachute! The event that looked like WWII. Thank goodness there are still good people on Planet EARTH and the LORD GOD wont send deluvio to the whole planet.

Deluvio means flash floods caused by 40 days of hurricane-like calamity and disaster just like what happened during at the time of NOAH in the Bible.

Yeah, feels like time warped. The Gazans looked like the impoverished Jews of World War II. How that happened is beyond anybody's mind thinking. So horrible indeed.

Already 15 C at very early morning today. 

Because it is SUNDAY let us have the WISDOM OF YODA to think about. 

OLD PEOPLE should think just like WISE YODA so that kids wont call them OLD FARTS.

Sorry about that,   just hate RACISM happening in Canada.

I HAD ANOTHER STRANGE & MYSTIFYING DREAM

 I HAD A DREAM. I had a dream at about dawn... I attended a High School Reunion and would you believe everybody was there having a good time including those who dearly passed away. OMG!!🙏

The story: I was given a gold medal with red ribbons together with my HS classmates R.A., C.P.  & CB. It was a reunion and special recognition award's night.

It was one of the happiest reunion ever because it was full complete attendance. I was the Secretary of the Class and I checked their attendance. Lots of foods, decors, music and dance. It was festive and fun.

I know it was one of those weird so strange dreams I had before and it always have the presence of the people who are so close to me but sadly they were not really with us at present time. The question is why the "dead people" always keep appearing in my dreams as being alive and living a good life? What the message they are trying to send? Except that they are "happy and alive in my dreams."

 What lies beneath out there in limbo? What is purgatory? What is life after death? 

Do you think that death is another stage of life?

Why suddenly my tone of writing is a bit nasty? Well, the "psycho stalker" is reacting. I don't know why. Is there something in my blog that freaks her out? 

Just want to let my loyal avid readers know that there are psychos out there. Be very aware! 

I know just recently, the convicted murderer has been sentenced in Idaho after killing 4 Idaho College Students. What's the motive? UNKNOWN. 

That's what it is folks! Sometimes the motive is unknown especially when the killer is deranged, mentally disabled or diagnosed as psychopathic just like the mass murderer in the Lapu-Lapu Filipino Festival. 

There must be a MOTIVE, time and time again you watched those TV Series such as FBI, NCIS, CSI wherein they get into deeper, investigate matters from the root cause, everything must be introspected from minute details because there must be a REASON why certain individuals will do such damage, drastic chaotic brutal rampage on innocent humans. There is no such thing as no motive other than to kill. COLD BLOODED. Some people kill for food. Some humans kill because they have to defend themselves. Some people kill because of revenge and of unforgiving war. Genocide is one of the most brutal atrocities of war. WAR CRIMINALS will be accounted and recorded and they will be on public world trial. HISTORY had it before with the NAZI, with Saddam Hussein, with Osama bin Laden - they all end up in tragedy.

Anyway, take care of yourself people who love life and who want to survive in a world full of deception and humanity is seldom seen in the wide screen and you cannot help those people because people whom are supposed to help them are helpless too. You see them dying everyday in war torn Gaza. You see the destruction and killing in Ukraine but you don't see the killing and destruction in Russia. Why you think Russia will hire Tibetans and N.Korean soldiers in their war? Are they being outnumbered? 

In all of the news we heard, read and watched who we have to believe? Who are being honest and truthful? Who are the liars?

JUSTICE WILL BE DONE!

 

JULY is a good month for traveling to Asian countries. Visit temples of the Buddha.

Summer is much appreciated in countries where gorgeous sandy white beaches are blessed with pristine turquoise warm water for swimming and boating.

July is when spiritual festivals are met

In Europe, where old relic buildings are better seen

And their cheesy foods and old aged wines tasted

Or would you travel to America just to be an eyewitness to ICE's everyday raid of undocumented immigrants? Well if you do make sure you have identifications ready, VISA, Passport ready to show  who you are. 

Documented. Who are just faking their identity? Somebody can have all their ID's but what if they are who they are not?  Background Investigation is needed. Wow! Watching too much FBI TV SERIES made me suspicious!

I read so many of those humans with ready, available ID's but they are not who they are. Name changed. In disguised. With the dark past. Like the Zodiac killer. I watched that peculiar movie of a serial killer. Then that of "Black Widow" like the spider tsk! tsk! Story of American woman who moved to Canada to change her life. It turned out she had several husbands who died under her hands and to avoid capture moved to Canada and started to live a new life, with a new name. She was caught! Yey! That's justice. I like movies such as those that lead (led) to justice will be done!!

DON'T YOU LIKE JUSTICE? I once dreamed of being a lawyer but you really have to memorize a lot of laws or at least memorize the whole book of LAW.

Another movie we watched is the CLICKBAIT:Unfollowed. The story is similar to "Big Brother"  and it is a suspense, mystery, horror movie. Watch for it and learn the moral lesson. Caution: Too gory & violent. Not good for children under 18 years of age. Although there is a boy in that contest. Darn! I first thought it was such a fun contest just like Big Brother but it's not.

NASTY CANADIANS?

 What's in the news? Nothing but controversy!! Usually bad news. Something that irked and make dead humans turned on their graves. 

NASTY CANADIANS! That's what in the headline news. 

Everywhere you go there are nasty people, not only Canadian, not only Americans or Europeans. Your own friend could be so nasty at certain period of time when they are pressured. Your co-workers could be so nasty without any reason other than your co-workers > an ass or somebody is too nasty because for whatever reason racism and bullying is so rampant nowadays. Sometimes asked the true real incident of why somebody is so nasty, rude or mean.  Or your driver or gardener  is very rude because the driver or gardener doesn't like the job but that's the only job available. Pressures, too much pressures can change somebody's attitude and character. Some people are nasty because they are insecure or too unhappy about themselves. There is always a reason to everything.

The word "nasty" as what Trump referred to Canadians for striking back at the tariff threat imposed on imported goods. At first it was 25% then to 35% tariff. That 25 % tariff was already problematic and way exorbitant then he raised it up to 35%? What the hell is that? No compromises, no negotiations, nothing of a deal that makes Trump happy and called Canadians hard to deal with. It is the other way around. Is Trump is having sort of "dementia or alzheimer's symptoms?" that's why no deal is convenient for both parties. He is the hardest to deal with that's why the negotiation is always inconvenient for everyone. Maybe because too many problems and conflict coming to his head, overbearing conflict such as the Putin-Zelensky war, Israel's stand on Gaza, the Epstein Files, the threat of his tariffs  and he tried to change subjects from one to another such as the change of name for RedSkins, opening files of MLK when the family opposed it. The Americans want the Epstein files open for public scrutiny.

Hey, that Epstein Files will go away if you open the UFO Files. 👽👽👽That will stop the world from spinning. Or find Hitler's descendants, are they still alive?

Now back to asking if Canadians are nasty?

There are nasty, snotty, racist Canadians (not all of them ... I repeat not all of them) and when you asked where they originally came from or what is their ethnicity you'll know how and why they are very nasty. lol Let them be nasty and let them have wrinkles on their grumpy face.

Sometimes you have to be nasty because you cannot be too kind all the time. Nasty is not much of a rude, racist bigot from other countries. Nasty is better than evil, the devil and the demons.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY

 CHRISTMAS IN JULY! How that happened? Well you know in Australia, at summer time in Canada it is Winter in Australia -the land down under celebrating Christmas in July.

Actually July 25 is the right day to celebrate it.

Australians decorate with Christmas decors and assortments.

 They cooked festive foods and have a party.

Nothing's wrong if you celebrate Christmas in July. You can celebrate it everyday if you are richer than most and gift-giving is your way and passion.

THE NEW WORLD ORDER

 It cools down a little bit this morning at 15 C. Thank goodness. We don't really need hot weather temp. in Canada. Too much of those wildfires and too much toxic fumes already. Toxic is abomination to one's health.  Canada had enough, seeing the the news and the map shown of thousands of wildfires? That is so strange already whether Canada is being a part of ethnic cleansing but the question is why? Why, why why delilah))) What have you done Canada? 

Thinking of the Holy Bible again and the stories of how wildfires had consumed Sodom & Gomorrah. Was that incident deluvio or  God's act of doomsday?

The good thing about wildfires in Canada, nobody dies. Advance evacuation happened earlier trying to save the people. So those wildfires are questionable. Hmmm...that means they are sort of preventable and controllable. If its advance evacuation the wildfires are maybe "set-up?" Wildfire caused by kaingin system? Wildfire to cover influx of more than 10,000 to 20,000 people in certain demographic area. Wildfire as in "immigration influx." 

Wildfire to cover "gold rush." Wildfire to cover systemic deforestation? There must be a definite reason why. Because in the 90's there is nothing like this offensive wildfire in the news. 

In other countries, massive influx of immigrants come in through the typhoons and flash floods. It is more like a "flood gate and it opens for influx of new population.

Anyway, if its systemic ...nothing that you can do about it. We just hope that the new immigrants bring their wealth and fortune with them.

Happenings On Saturday

 The heatwave today makes me sleepy and that's what I did... sleep. I fella sleep watching movies such as: The "Shooter" starring Mark Walhberg. It's actually a moral lesson movie wherein justice has been done in the end against those corrupt government officials. Then another movie that made me fell asleep? Oh never mind. lol. That's what it is when it is not a zombie movie.

Then Echo came and sneak in to our bedroom and whines. She wants me to go downstairs, poured a small amount of milk in her ceramic bowl. She loves fresh cold milk. Later she sits on my husband's lap and watch TV. Echo's acting like a child sulking sometimes but that's okay.

We had lunch: Steamed rice + pork sinigang + lumpia with chili sauce and ketchup

QUIET, How To Be QUIET In America If You Have All The CONSTITUTIONAL Rights?

 I know you're choking already with all the artworks, drawings here and what do you think of the universe? You think the universe is not a painting? LOL. It looks like a painting at night... you know.

Ah, forget about it. We humans are just a "dot" in the humongous magnanimous universe. To think that the whole Earth's not even been actually explored and humans would rather stick together in the mainland and get over populated. The same thing is true with those countries at war wanting that specific particular country to themselves. Just like you... I'd better not mention any politics in my blog because truth is the word "freedom and democracy had lost its value in the country that supposed to protect its people of its democratic freedom and rights. The country that is known the world as freedom fighters and freedom protectors are being silenced and afraid. That never happened during World War II and during the reign of Nixon. THEY IMPEACHED THEIR OWN PRESIDENT! However, in this generation Americans being educated and know their rights are being forced to shut up or be quiet. Why be scared or be afraid? Americans are brave enough to stand up against dictators and tyrants. You've been fighting them in other countries why not fight it in your own country.

Know what? I happened to watch 3 sequels of THE QUIET PLACE. Are "they" already in your country?

ARTWORKS

 I 💓LOVE BLOG HOPPING every morning. I want to browse on what other people blog about themselves, where they traveled, and what made their blogs interesting. Although I sometimes feel like some of those blogs are lamentation of their ailments. Then I bloghopped to another blog where the blogwriter had  traveled in Japan and posted so many lovely pictures.

 Japan is such a beautiful country alright, my son went on vacation there 3x. Three times already!! He told me that it was indeed a beautiful country with lovely, friendly people. Japanese are well respected now because of their new attitude towards life. They follow the golden rule which is great. So many picturesque views that my son photographed when he and his group of friends visit the Disneyland, and all the festivals, the ancient Japanese towers, the Tori Gate, etc, etc. lots to see. Food is great and there are enough stories to tell. 

That's why, would like to post my Japanese Art today if you don't mind:

Their tea ceremony is quite fascinating as it is almost like a ceremonial ritual or more like religious.

My ART is always like a work in progress.  There is always an additional in its frame to make it elaborate and more lifelike and cheery.

Watermelons

 

Mouth watering fresh watermelons, cherries and berries  are what's in abundance in supermarket these hot summer days. I'm so glad they are so sweet! 

 

I am not really a fruit eater but watermelons are different. Eat watermelons, quench thirst and sing Harry Style's "Watermelon Sugar"

BE STRONG & STRIVE TO BE HAPPY

 Reading other blogs aside from my own blog made it interesting day... everyday and I found it fascinating that most of those blogs are true real story of humans with feelings and values not afraid to write what's inside their mind regardless of what other people are saying or talking about them. I think it is also comes with the age. Also not wanting to know what ails them because it is not good for readers I think. It can weaken not strengthen the readers. They feel awful, rather awkward to read some of those pains and the malady of such ailments. Maybe if they can mention it once not a monotonous pain and suffering... if you know what I mean? 

Anyway, it is only through celebration of birthdays, baptismal, anniversaries, memorials, woke, holidays, reunions that we came to unite as family or for others unity is when there is political rally and protest to demonstrate.

My sister who lives in the same city where I and my family lives only come to see each other when there is to celebrate like birthdays and special holidays. It takes 20 minutes drive to get there to their house. My sister had been retired from work since 3 years ago. Her co-workers also retired from work and dead! Ha? I was stunned shocked. I had just met one of her co-worker last Christmas of 2023. OMG! She died of cancer. The two co-workers also passed away. After they retired they died. My sister had endured her battle against ostheo-arthritis. She had her surgery twice on her knees, with steel. She's like a bionic woman now. Still bothers her walking but her love for gardening still there so her garden is once again in abundance with colorful flowers.

This is it people of Canada. This is what working so hard in Canada. A friend of ours just retired too from overworking and end up having MS and now half paralyzed and on wheelchair.  She's not alone, too many people with MS in Canada. That sometimes you really cannot enjoy retirement because you end up with certain ailment that you never expected in your lifetime...like what I've had. Would you like to know? Maybe not. Sorry, I am not contagious.

Truth is I don't like having a lamentation of what I endured. I don't feel any pain and if those devils will know they might give me the pain just like what they did to others so that they can be happier and rule the world. They tried to inflict pain on me and they received the same kind of pain more than pain, karma effect.  You know angels and demons are all over Earth now. Oh no! Don't be paranoid, they are not the kind of evil that you see in fantasy books or movies. The evil of this world are better looking than you are and they are highly intellectuals who prescribed the "Stanley Milgram" experiment on every human they like to inflict injury. You wont know what SM because it is different from what you really expect. You will have doubts about yourself and others until you end up institutionalized that's why my advise BE STRONG!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

 

It's Cade & Jade's birthday! HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY💋💓👼👼 my dear babies!! I just couldn't believe how fast time and years passed me by. 

The twins are so smart and talented. They love working on their computers... for the love of the game, puzzles and codes. They have strength and weaknesses just like most humans are. They both are kind, quiet, and mind their own business. They are shy and would rather be at the convenience of our home doing what's best for them.

Because they are quite shy and don't like being shown in public that only their baby pictures here for us to see. Jade and Cade were only 6 months old here. 

They had grown of course!

FAT TUESDAY

 Something so weird yesterday. Just as when I blogged that your city or town or country get into the radar of television journalist if its on fire, wildfires, flash floods or war. Suddenly the Grand Canyon Lodge was on fire. Really? Hmm.. why? I mean that's quite mean. I posted about camping and then they have camping in Texas and had flash floods because of just torrential rainfall. Its not even a hurricane! I posted about fault, somebody asked me if there is something with my line. Next thing I know that a hidden underground volcano somewhere in Oregon which is close to Vancouver island is being perceived of its volcanic activity. I knew it there are volcanoes underground. But wait that was a myth long, long time ago. The underground volcanoes are within the Cordillera or the long mountain ranges called the "ring of fires." Pacific Ocean is also a ring of fire."

Oh darn, could be just coincidences eh? Would it be nice if they are just gold coins?

By the way, another blog writer Mr. Harling had mentioned that if you want to protect your writing and your blogs in the internet you must have canons rather cannons! Uhm,  would it be nice if its ballistic missiles? LOL. Just kidding.

Tuesday once again and I'm the Chef today unless if my hubby wants to help at the kitchen.

LATEST HAPPENINGS

 It was only last year when I found out that the two cinemas (movie houses) in my town, rather city had been closed or shut down. OMG! Why? The city's population when we had those two cinemas was only 30,000 and now that the population had risen to more than 45,000 that's the time they closed down those two cinemas? Galaxy & Caprice's no longer here in the city where I live. People in my city owned TeleVisions. Everyone here owned big screen TVs wherein you can rent the latest movies at the convenience of their homes. Maybe that's the reason. If you have subscription from Prime Video, Netflix, Crave and other source of movies would you still watch movies at the cinema?

A friend of mine advised me to get out more often to find out what had just closed down in the city or what's new.  lol. I laughed at what she said. 

Truth is you can find out what's new in your area by Google MAP.  You can view all the streets in your area or other locations around the world. For local inquiries you can read the local newspapers. 

Living in this city for more than 25 years, 32 years in Canada and not knowing what's new and what's happening in our city is a matter of "you think I'm not well informed of the happenings in my own place."

Well, of course not wanting to know all the gossips and rumors. Who are the new people in certain demographic area. Who are the new immigrants and who move in and moved out. Well, we once managed townhouses and apartments we knew who move in and move out. Managers keep track of those tenants and what those good records and bad records on accepting tenants. Who are bad tenants and good tenants. Once there was another apartment manager ( she was an angry blonde, blue eyes, tanned skin almost brown so its not white skinned woman) who asked me if we have vacancy in the townhouse. I told her we don't have any vacancy for months and months now (this incident was after year 2000). Then she asked me, "do you like having too many people in this city?" Because she doesn't like many people in "this city" because the standard of living will goes up, there will be traffic congestion,  and there will be a time that nobody can afford housing and there will be too many homeless people because there is not much employment. True! Why would a small city gets populated when there is limited of employment. No pulp mill, no sawmill, fishing industry is down, tourism doesn't catch up to a standard that is for "tourism" except that natural resources of the forest, seaviews, few beaches with cold cold water not good for swimming for boating yes.  I can feel her sentiments. Why allow too many people here when there is no source of employment. Ghee, was she right? All of a sudden there are homeless people now in this city. What happened? They are not originally residents in this city. They were from other cities of Canada. We don't have homeless people in the 90's in this city.  I don't even feel comfortable of naming the city where I live because they might blame me why this city is becoming over populated. Hey, not my fault! For God sake!!

What's been newly built, or the rise and fall in one city after another, there are newly built condomsiniums with gorgeous view of the seas and the Quadra island. They are pricey condos probably would want people from mainland  Vancouver seniors to move in here. I think that's the target of those developers... seniors!!  News channels wont be covering your own town or city unless there is a wildfire or any disaster or calamity. 

For once, I knew almost what's happening within the downtown area because our family once owned a cafeteria in the mall where hundreds of people shop within that shopping mall. However after the pulp mill closed down and our cafe shutdown together with other food shops in that mall had shutdown too when K-Mart finally shutdown its service. The mall had been sold to a new owner and was replaced with a new name. Too many shops had been in and out of that covered mall such as Sears, Ricky's Bootlegger, Northern Reflection, Hallmark's, restaurants, fabric store, etc. etc. Now it seems that Thrifty's supermarket and Dollarama are  staying permanently in that covered shopping mall for good.

Truth is I am not alone of not knowing whatever is happening in this town, rather city. I called it a town because of its small population. I was from the Philippines, wherein a city usually comprises of a population in millions that's why. Canada's population is smaller than of a state of California. California should be a country not a state!

Anyway, not really into gossiping. Canada been victims of too much wildfires already. What else you want? 

Oh, I want cooler weather temperature. I love cooler breeze actually and temperature between 15 Celsius to 20 Celsius is favorable. I noticed that most Canadians don't sleep good when the weather temp. is over 25 Celsius. Last night's temperature was 32 degrees Celsius that was TOO HOT! Well you can always take cold showers though.

First time that my plant had flowers on a another branch. That's wonderful!

Wonder why the color not that dark pink or fuschia anymore.

UPDATE: The old cinema had re-opened last 27th of June 2025. SUPERMAN the movie of  David Corenswet is being viewed today and maybe for the next 7-14 days?

The new SUPERMAN movie made at least $217 MILLION DOLLARS in its first opening.worldwide.
