END OF THE MONTH. I couldn't believe how fast the days are going. Tomorrow is another day and it's February 2026. Not long ago it was Christmas and then the hizzy fit of weather temp. every now and then. What's going on? And I say... Hey, hey, hey))) What's goin' on? LOL.
It is unbelievable that until now, at the island of Vancouver, we really didn't have snow at all. Well, only on top of the mountains and the inhabitants are actually happy about it. Okay I must admit we don't have to suffer shoveling the snow at the front yard nor sprinkle industrial salt. The city workers don't have to plow the snow on roads and highways. The drivers don't need to swear or cuss how snowy the grounds are and no accident happening which is great. I must admit that in British Columbia especially at my place it's almost spring time with few showers or drizzles once in a while to chill us out.
I don't know what's my plan today. On days off I am the chef at home so I have to prepare and cook something delicious for lunch & dinner. There are menu plans that I had but I already told my husband on MWF what he needs to cook when I'm away. Then I have to struggle thinking on TTSS what I have to cook. I have a recipe book but those meals are party foods. Hmm... thinking, thinking.
The easiest to cook: Spaghetti, omelette, pan fried fish, pork chops, roast pork or roast beef, hamburger, anything stew. Actually everything's easy if you are a "Cook or Chef."
Last night's meal for dinner: Salisbury steak with mushrooms and gravy, steamed broccoli, steamed rice. Dessert: Raspberry vanilla ice cream.
My family loved it and so as Raven & Echo.
I cannot repeat what my Husband cooked for the week. He also cooked chilis (Chili con carne) which of course my son Cade would be very happy because that's his favourite comfort food. He cooked the chilis in a big stainless pot, had a bowl for lunch and remaining chilis had them in several containers to store in the freezer.
I don't mind having this special pancit however, my Husband cannot find the noodles required for this kind of meal. It's the sotanghon vermicelli type noodles and he was unable to find any Farkay noodles at Superstore.
What about spicy garlicky pork ribs?
Yum-yum?
I don't know. Really don't know what I have to cook for today. I should be on a diet, you know.
How about deep fried prawns? Darn! I should really stop eating.
