Have you seen those empty shelves in supermarket as shown through television news and tv networks and when you go shopping in your local supermarket as if looting had just happened and there is nothing there on the shelves, empty of merchandises. Know what think again...it's not what you think as in problem with supply chain.
The problem was, not enough workers doing the loading and unloading of goods from boxes to shelves. NOT ENOUGH WORKERS doing the merchandising and stocking of goods. The question is why not they hire workers?
Part of it is > heavy loads, stocking and stacking merchandises or goods, loading and unloading requires muscles. You must be a very strong man or woman to carry, lift or do that kind of job. Even if you have a cart or trolley(dolly) for the access of such merchandise but to carry heavy stuff can lead to abrupt accident or could lead to fractured wrist or CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). Lifting and loading of goods to higher shelves require the worker to reach them by using ladder. Accidents can happen anytime whether you are careful or not. It's not an easy job.
There are many workers who had hurt and injured themselves just by being a supermarket merchandiser. Humans are not robots.
Even the restaurant workers: cooks, waiters, dishwashers, delivery men have the same kind of injury while working in a fast paced establishment. More healthcare workers getting hurt, in pain and get injured while at work. Sports athletes are also prone to pain and injury. Who amongst you can feel the pain and who cannot?
I don't know what kind of job that requires nothing but just sit down the whole day and still received wages.
I don't sit all day that's for sure. I worked at home and do my housework and that's not for sitting down. The only time I can sit firmly is when I'm blogging and that's only for few minutes. However, I THINK about what to blog. THINKING is also a process and requires mental stability and functionality of being rational and intelligent human being. I used to be a "think tank." Now that I'm getting older my mental cues and how fast should I think, perceive and act could be impaired sometimes. I tried to be at a level that requires me to be faster than I could ever imagine, however, what I'm leaving behind could be dust. If you know what I mean.
Another one bites the dust!
