To never argue with geniuses especially if he is EINSTEIN. Right?

Wrong! Argue with somebody especially if you are righteously correct and better than that person.

Watch FBI stories, NCIS and you'll never know what else you can learn from them.

To never argue with the grammar nazi especially when they don't even know or comprehend other people's languages and dialects. Always have second opinion from somebody who is an expert.

To be less creative because creativity is costly! However, if you have extra money to splurge then you can donate. It depends though. Did you win the lottery? Lottery could be the same as THE ISLAND movie.

Pandemic Is Hell On Earth

It was only 8 C weather temperature this morning. I woke up so early just to spot the hummingbirds that usually visit the garden, however they didn't appear today, and that's a disappointment on my part. At a time when I'm ready with my digital camera, ha ha ha. You know some birds and animals have ESP you know, and so as the smaller insects such as butterflies, moths and bees. I think the smaller creatures have extra sensory perception because they have to protect themselves from danger  from bigger predators and because they have certain reliance skills just like those ants.

As usual, one scandal overlaps another scandal as a form of damage control. I think that's the strategy of 24 hour non-stop news on TV. 24/7 NEWS tend to exist if there are new existing controversial news whether they are fiction or real. It's a billion dollar business!

On creating a business at home? There are buisness (lol) business at home that are applicable and maybe you can earn in this time of pandemic. Then when taxation comes you'll find out whether you are profiting from such at home business or not. Tax break? I don't know. Remember the quotes of the CIA VS FBI? CIA don't believe in receipts and documents. The FBI investigates almost anything.  The NCIS? They want everything...something's gotta gibbs! NCIS series is my daughter's favourite 'show.' It's a show of how fast they solve crime and mysteries.

Barter is now allowed in Philippines as a transaction between buyers and sellers. Puede naman doon. Eh, sa Canada puede ba yun? Maybe you can have the barter transaction only for relatives and close friends. Exchange gifts.

There are many vulnerable people (hundred millions) in this world in our generation, they are the sick, tired and poor. Even the wealthy and rich people are broke! Hard to believe? How many of them had lost their business and how many losses they incurred from the almost collapsible stock market? How many of them file for bankruptcy and how many will soon file bankruptcy? How many are in debts? The covid-19 and coronavirus was just a cover-up for the stock market losses. ?  With billions of dollars in deficit? It will take trillion dollars budget to get up from such economic downturn. My God! How the Government can earn trillions of dollars? From WE? OMG LOL. j/k

You should wish there's war instead. At times of war the value of dollars goes up. WAR OVER PANDEMIC is much better! The pandemic is hell on earth!! Yeah people, WAR is fictitious...because war is actually infrastructures.

Suddenly the NEWS ON TV is getting very interesting eh? OMG! Politics is really very complicated and scandal after scandal include conflict of interest tend to be  by-product of graft and corruption. When you think that grafting is only for plants.

By the way my favourite floral is showing signs of survival. I am so glad that my bougainvillea has survived the test of time and climate. It is a very thirsty plant that need constant watering everyday.
I didn't use fertilizer this time of the year. Just let it grow naturally and with lost of sunshine and talking to the plant maybe is what it needs.

 I pruned my bougainvillea plant twice already during winter. About 2.5 ft. was cut off from its main stem, few branches and to think that we moved the plant outside the yard at springtime and then frost
happened, suddenly the plant withered and looked dead. Thank God, there's miracle.

 Another floral that looks promising is my pink hydrangea. It was actually light baby pink in color when I bought it in Canadian Tire. However, I think the soil on the ground is acidic that the color of the floral is now somewhat "bluish-purple at the center of the petals."

The acidity or alkalinity of the soil can change the color of hydrangea.

Something New To Watch

I think it's much hotter last year than this year and the sound of emergency siren was heard more often than not. Two years ago and last year there were more wildfires and this year wildfire is about the pandemic.

Year 2020 will go down in history as the worst ever, historically the year when the devil rises up from its hundred year old ashes. Every 100 years. How true is that?

Anyway, to prolong the devil and evil as if you are part of the axis of evil...do we really have to prolong such evil? So strange right?

Last weekend without the Korean drama/comedy/adventure/action, I decided to rent a movie for $7.00 only.

THE INVISIBLE MAN the movie is about an ordinary housewife played by talented ELIZABETH MOSS (award winner actress for television series THE HANDMAID's TALES) who escaped from estranged, wealthy, genius husband who according to the wife was very abusive and she doesn't want a child from him, whatever. The story is actually incomplete in its sense of what those abuses are because she is taking a drug dizepam and also used it for her husband. He could be a sadistic husband who tries to manipulate her, made her the trophy wife, caged in a concrete glass house overlooking a panoramic ocean view. The hubby could be a billionaire with everything he could buy for and all the evil ways to become an invisible man. But if you have other invisible men out there what is her best option? One of those psychological thrillers  and its TWISTED.

INVASION

It was PINK COLOR liquid could be "paint" being splashed at those statues by the BLM supporters as I watched news on TV. I don't know the connection of such colors though. Pepto Bismol? Pink Floyd? Pink slip? Whatever!

Do you know the definition of radicals and radicalism? What those group of wild protesters vandalizing public statues, making a mess, showing rage, violence and outcry of hate is one form of radicalism. Can you do that in Singapore? NO. In Singapore, the punishment for spitting gum on the ground, littering the subway, throwing cigarette butts and messing up their public domain could result to severe punishment and fine.

Canada is not Singapore, so those people in question could have light sentences only as slap on their hands and maybe they could go home after committing a crime of disrespect, vandalizing, and uttering racism from the past that their ancestors were then subjected to brutal racism and those statues of prominent members of the community should be torn apart just like other statues whom they thought symbolizes racism, whatever. Who are they? Are they gonna create another country? Did they finally purchase the "land that belong to the original inhabitants of such country?" That could happen you know. They should provide the land title and their rights  that they bought the land so that they can do whatever they want for the INVASION. Grave situations like this happened only when the invaders won in their cause of war just like what happened in Iraq.

Then there's that mandatory face masks in Ontario. Some people cannot breathe wearing face masks and they don't follow the strict rules or the mandate set upon by those people in authority. Yeah, people not too many Moslems yet. They are not ready to wear masks. I don't know, maybe we are going back to Chivalry and medieval period because of the "pandemic." OMG! Is it really coronavirus and covid-19 or just that " that thing is out there?" Please, just tell us the truth if this pandemic is just another conspiracy theory.

What To Blog Now?

It's easy for other Blogwriters to post their usual photos of food. Everyday food, the kind of menu they cooked or bought from fastfood/restaurants of their choice. Meanwhile on my side, time is always on my side.

I can post anything except things that annoy me. It should be something that annoys you. LOL. j/k

 Once a week or twice a week, I have to grill beef steak just to make sure 

everyone's happy and contented that Angus beef is great!

 I seldom cook squid because I'm the only one who likes it at home. However, got to eat squid once a month and if I have fresh bittermelon and coconut milk or cream then surely got to have spoonfuls of steamed jazmine rice too.

 Hubby harvested the first yield of zucchini from our garden and have it mixed with green beans and pork for stir fry, add soy sauce, oyster sauce and spices.

buttered garlicky shrimps, mushrooms, cilantro stir-fry
or saute' it with much gusto

I would like to go shopping today, however, my kind of shopping takes one hour to at least 1 1/2 hour because I am choosy and picky especially searching for the things I really like. Maybe not proper to shop that longer period of time in a shopping mall especially at this time of the year. Just like you, I am concerned also on being out there until it is very safe. Besides, when you shop for clothing or any essential personal accessories, things you can exchange before, now you cannot return those garments whether they fit or not. Shopping online is not advisable either. Patience is once again a virtue.

Do you have long memory?

I think all the toxic fumes, the dangerous smogs caused by wildfires around the world and the effect of volcanic eruptions still linger in the air, in the atmosphere and stratosphere. It wont go away until the Ozone layers are open mid September or end of September then closed before November. I don't know why those layers of the Earth wont open automatically? Why wait for autumn? I am not a scientist so this is somewhat a mystery.

Know what? The mythbuster Grant Imahara died of brain aneurysm. ? Wow! Shocking! (According to news on TV) I used to watch his show. In that show MYTHBUSTER, Grant and his two technicians, stuntmen have so much knowledge about fire, bombs,  and explosions and how they busted some known facts and myths that we thought are really myth but actually somewhat "facts." Whatever. Science is unfinished business.

Did you know John Wayne died of cancer? The actor's cowboy movies were then filmed mostly in the famous site known as the "drop zone for atomic bomb experiment."  Old news.

Now, who is a fan of MACGYVER series? Their drama/action/adventure/suspense series/show deals with lots of smoke, explosions and mythbusting.

And with all those smoke inhalation and tear gas thrown at those demonstrators and rallyists shown on TV News? The world needs millions of respirators for everyone to breathe. Respirators and ventilators for those affected by wildfires and smoke and toxic dust inhalation from volcanic eruptions. Then the question of pandemic caused by coronavirus that resembles that of scary portuguese jellyfish? That's added threat to everyone's health.

The Longest Pool

I don't mind having this kind of pool in Vancouver island. Although we have natural "pools" at the island: Miracle Beach and McIvor Lake, an open, outdoor  chlorinated pool is much appreciated.

Do You Know Cortana?

Cortana is just like Siri, an imaginary robotic fairy, a guardian that will guide you to anything you want in the internet. Anything you wanna ask, she will listen and will be very alert and very attentive.  Cortana will answer to every question you asked of her. The question is do you have to pay for Cortana's service when you can just do research through wikipedia and other Thesaurus website?

I haven't talk to Cortana yet. I don't know what Cortana looks like. Is she really a female or male? I don't know the true  gender, whether Cortana is actually a human  being in disguised just like the Korean characters I used to watch on TV. lol just kidding.

I think it's a "real person or a programmed individual" who is right there behind the screen of your computer. An imaginary friend.

For the autistics, that's  awesome and amazing. Imagine having an imaginary friend who can  answer to everything you wanna know. Uhm, very interesting.  However for the parents that could be haunting, weird and disturbing.

Did you know that you can now chat with your doctor through online (virtual) because of the pandemic? Wow! Really?! Is that good? Watched those shows on TV where newscasters interviewed doctors through the screen of their computers. Doctor who is right there in his bedroom wearing his PJ's. being interviewed by Ryan and Kelly? Doctor wearing pyjamas in his bedroom! WTH! At least he's got his clothes on. lol.  I think if its just a follow-up diagnosis or psychiatric help an "virtual online chat" is proper. (If I'm the psychiatrist and the person of interest is a psycho then a chat behind another medium is valid) Pure EVIL tv series episode. Ngek! (Reminds me of Silence of the Lambs). Other than that is not really wise. You cannot even personally know your own doctors when they are wearing face masks in hospitals and clinics and to see them and chat with them through the help of webcams? That's totally weird. There are too many pranksters nowadays so be very cautious out there, because even your own friends can be very dangerous.You'll never know who are naughty and nice.

Truth is better to see your doctor eye to eye that it is him or her writing the prescription and you are to receive the RX or prescription, not directly being passed to the pharmacist.  Making sure that the doctor also knew you personally so that the prescription is correct and so as the diagnosis. Then they have reason, so many reason that they are afraid of the coronavirus and covid-19 and they don't want being infected. Oh, right doctors are now too weak to handle sick people. I think it's best to build military hospitals where military doctors, surgeons and military nurses can do the job effectively. What do you think? Then you might reply to me and reason out they are only for military patients. Why not we have the International Red Cross then that crosses beyond borders? And the question never stop and the answer never seem to satisfy the unsatisfied sick people.

I don't know when THE GOOD DOCTOR will return on CTV. I think they are in the process of filming an episode somewhere in Vancouver City (Canada). I know everyone missed Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore).

To Give & To Receive: The Giver & The Receiver

Giving and sharing is always common gesture of  every Filipino families whether they are in their own countries of origin or abroad. If someone has given you something you have that habit of receiving the gift and then give the giver something in return as if the word "thank you" is not enough.

My hubby has that kind of attitude of giving generously, sometimes to the point of being too kind, very kind as if he is running for office or he wants to be a saint. Just kidding. Recently, he used his boat as a fishing charter for free. I don't mind nor he minds about it because he personally knew the "passengers" of his boat anyway. At least he can also go fishing and crabbing together with those people he knew. They caught no fish (only dogfish which they released right immediately). It's hard to believe that how wide the ocean out there and there's no salmon, nor any kind of edible fish? What is going on? Impossible right? No cruise ships passing for more than 4 months and no fish? Anyway they caught few crabs. My husband brought one piece of crab for me and he cleaned and boiled it for me and I cooked it with coconut milk. I was waiting for him to buy me a can of young green jackfruit so that I can mix it with the crab. It was a big crab so half of the crab meat I mixed it with the vegetable salad with dill dressing for my family and the crab with coconut milk just for me.No jackfruit, so better have an alternative cauliflower instead. It's fine with fresh cauliflower.

 Because my hubby is a generous giver, my niece CY. brought us a bowl of spicy chicken curry, after I had given them a bowl of  chicken chowmein.

Another niece CQ brought us a plate of homemade ube roll (cake). I think she baked it.

 It was so yummy delicious! Thanks a lot! Look at those young coconut meat inside the cake roll and the ube yam, wow!! Parang Goldilocks ang lasa.Thanks so much!

I roasted a lechon (roast pork) thinking I should give them a piece of roast. However, the roast pork is not that big enough. Oh my, better luck next time. I will roast bigger pork next time.

My husband told them to pick up some raspberries at the garden. Only my brother-in-law picked up the berries. Some of the raspberries were then stored in the freezer for future use: for ice cream and or for smoothies.

When It's Over

When it's over, that's the time I have to blog again. And when you say Go, Go, Go I know, it never ends. OMG! I'm expecting a twister but you know twister never, ever exist in British Columbia. So that means we are very lucky here eh?

My first time to see my hubby laughing at something like looking at the mail that I received this afternoon. No refund. Sorry! Actually he needs to pay tax. How that happened? He made so much money and he will pay tax? Where's the money? If you lose $48,000 in investment this year because of the almost collapsed stock market? WTH!!!!!!!!! Yeah feels like it's now easy to believe that movie MONEY MONSTERS. Anyway, with the present pandemic and pandemic scare and everyone's affected so that give us a consolation to just be calm, stay calm, be like the South Koreans for being calm because they are from the Land of the morning calm.

$48,000 is a lot of money and that could help us in so many ways. We have 3 children (young adults) who could at least benefit from such amount of money. And you think that small amount? How many of you have ever have $500 in your wallet? NOBODY! You don't even have $100 in cash because your wallet is just full of credit cards. You are living in debts! Billions of people are in debts!!!!!!

$48,000 is such an amazing amount of money and I can fully understand now when the former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper was so pissed off with Mr. McDuffy for not paying $90,000 (?) he owed from him and the Conservative Party. Now you know also.

You can't earn such amount of money within a month nor in one year on minimum wage. If I was so pissed off too for the past months of this pandemic and I know so many of you are so pissed off more because you probably lost hundred thousands to millions in dollars because of the collapse of the stock market in previous months. It was very devastating and depressing that the leading cause of death is not really the coronavirus nor the covid-19 but heart attack and stroke.

When it's over...It's not really over.

It's Not OVER Until It's OVER!!

I think the Korean  "love story" and comedy in LOVE IN THE MOONLIGHT and the TALE OF NOKDU will soon fade away as it will have to face the most intense part of the story where all the characters intertwined, there will be rage, violence and death. Oh well, nothing to laugh about in the next few episodes. So sad...

What are we to watch next without violence?

Good news from CTV NEWS Network! THE GOOD DOCTOR will soon restart production of their most sought-after television series starring Freddie Highmore (as Dr. Shaun Murphy- autistic savant surgeon/doctor). Almost everybody missed this show/series. I first thought their production company is settled in the US but actually in mainland Vancouver. Actually, most American movies are produced in Canada such as the movies of famous Hollywood actors Sylvester Stallone and Mel Gibson. What not to like Canada? Nothing. The landscape and seascape here are almost perfect. The weather gets imperfect sometimes during Winter but majority of winter sports enthusiasts love the frozen cold and stay on top of the snowy alps. Canada is the winter capital of the world. By the way still is summer time and you have to make the most of it not wasting time and not to offend the giver of time.

Don't you like the change of weather temperature for this week? I'm glad that it wont be hellish hot.

As usual, Dr. Bonnie Henry (she really looks like Helen Hunt of Twister the movie) had her daily rounds of warning: Stay on 2 meter social distancing, wear face masks. People such as tourists should have 14 day self-quarantine phase before being let out in public. It's not over yet. Pandemic mode still in effect until the VACCINE is found and proven to be effective and safe for millions of people and until everyone is vaccinated.

Not too many people are following after the long quarantine and self-isolation. Six months seem to be the longest period of time for this pandemic with all the negativity in place. Please send some positive results of those vaccines in trials.  There are thousands of laboratories and pharmaceuticals in the world and yet there's no proven vaccine for its efficacy and safety until now? Wow! That's mission impossible movie.

You know sometimes I want to be very political and air my own opinion to everything I read and heard over the news network and throughout the internet mediums however, at this time of the pandemic it is better to keep quiet and just wait for some other people such as the "politicians to do the mending of the economy." They are the people who were elected to work for the people and its government. The rest of the population should just watch and act only if their livelihood, their moral compass and their own health jeopardize in the present situation of the pandemic scare.

Yeah, as if you don't watch horrible pandemic and apocalyptic movies which are out of yin-yang.

Racism is almost slowing down.

At present time: All Healthcare workers: Doctors, Surgeons, Nurses should wear facemasks and PPE while on duty at the hospitals and clinics because of the pandemic. It is mandatory now to wear facemasks in supermarkets, department stores, pubs & restaurants, subways, trains, buses, taxis,  and other public places. Yeah people, we live in a very fragile, hostile environment and we should protect ourselves.

No Fireworks For Canada Day!

NO FIREWORKS for the celebration of CANADA DAY. Strange & unusual right? But we all have to understand that with the present situation and under circumstances that a huge flock of human beings out in the open would mean crucial and haunting. Due to the pandemic of coronavirus and covid-19 the yearly celebration was on "virtual" instead. Uhm, really?

The internet, facetime, and social apps abound with people wanting to socialize  through virtual.
As if it didn't happen before with ICQ, Yahoo and MSN. After the millennium social network was trending fast like a rocket and this time, it's the same situation. However, for the courageous people who are dining out and socializing in pubs and restaurants and following the guidelines and protocols then good for them. For those who are out there still working in the healthcare sectors, supermarkets and department stores, restaurants, realty, in the military... God be with you people.
For the sick, tired and dying...GOD BLESS US.

At least I can still laugh. I think the Koreans have better sense of humor than most of us.
