DREAMS

 "Vern, let's go!" Let's go Vern"  I heard my best friend calling me so many times. I woke up right away. It was past 5:30 am. I usually woke up at very early morning at about 4 am or before 5 am. Past 5 am is quite late. The one who visits me was the best of friend of mine who (had leukemia) passed away in 1995.  Let's call her C. She was always in my dream. We're the best of friends from High School until when we were in University. I took Economics Course in Univ. and she took Engineering instead in the same University (She was a genius when it comes to Math and Physics), but we always go and come home at the same time. She was always in my dreams, sometimes she was accompanied by my dearest Lola in those two dreams. 

The Story in my dream: I went to visit her in their house but she was doing housework. I waited but she had too many chores to do. So I told her I will just wait at home. But then the waiting takes too long and I brought a box of newspapers and magazines to read near my neighbor's. While I was reading the newspaper, she came all dressed up and called me, "Vern let's go!" Let's go Vern!" 

In the real world, actually one of us will go to each other's home and wait. When we're in High School, have to wait for her so that we can be together walk to school at the same time. We're classmates. When we enrolled in FEU, we wanted to be together but she would rather enrolled in Engineering. But she had our schedule the same time so that we can ride in the same bus and go to Univ. same time and come home same time too. We just parted ways in different building and different rooms. 

The last chance we had a communication before she passed away when she said that she applied for an immigrant in the US (California) that was before 1994. That was our last communication. I never thought she will be taken by our Lord God too early. She was such a good friend, loyal, honest and kind and very smart most especially in Math and Physics.  She's athletic, she was our volleyball player in HS & she was also a MEDIC just like me in our CAT (Citizen Army Training).  We have the same talent for drawing and calligraphy. I missed her or she missed me too somehow because she always appeared in my dreams. Maybe there was "another world?"  Where all the people who passed away are living in harmony and in peace. In two of my dreams she was with my Lola and they were living in the same roof, their home is surrounded with vegetation, fruit orchards and its almost like paradise in those dreams. They were so happy. 

They were so happy in those dreams. 

SUNDAY

 I remember way back then that SUNDAY is the best day of the week wherein everyone who attends the Sunday Mass at the Church should wear their best decent dress as a sign of respect for God and why not? It should be courtesy of some sort. 

18th Century outfit was just like this above image. If they could be just as amazing that Sunday was meant an obligation and duty to attend Catholic mass way back then and after mass you have to go to the market and bought some festive foods, bouquet of flowers and fruits to share at the family table.

While those "warriors" have to visit the temple and make amends.

Nowadays... after the Millennium, people just pray at the convenience of their homes.

GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS wherever you are depends on how fervent, solemn and sacred those prayers of yours.

You can pray in front of Mother Nature. You can pray at the silent pond. You can pray wherever you like. 

GOD IS EVERYWHERE.

Everywhere you want GOD is.... even in your life and in your heart.💓

SATURDAY RANTS

I did what I can do for today: housework (cooking, cleaning the house, folding laundry and towels). That's after I'm done with blogging. But then that one blog post not enough. Simply there are other train of thoughts in mind such as the barking of dog. Echo was barking loud enough for the cat to get out of her way. However, the two big cats were such a teaser, teasing her most of the time. We tried to stop and pacify Echo from barking but she really wants to chase the goon cats. lol. Husband and I could just laugh and let it go then the neighbor tried to take her cat inside their home. We had a fence at the door for Echo not to chase the cat. Surprise! Echo's dad came home from work early and took Echo away. Half an hour later we smelled something foul. OMG! Somebody is smoking high once again. I coughed and coughed and I almost throw up. My God, why every time? Do they have to smoke weeds everyday? Why those neighbors don't care about other people? We closed our front door so that we don't have to smell the very foul odor. 

I know. There's really nothing that you can do about it because the Government of Canada under Trudeau had made it legal. You really have to vote for the Conservative & maybe the return of Harper is what Canadians really need. 

The latest news in politics had US Pres. Trump terminating trade talks. This is because Trump once said that Canada is a country hard to deal with. I think its really very hard to deal with Trump that's the true nature of such mental assessment. It's like one Trump against billions of people on planet Earth. Trump is not easy to deal with. Trade deals he usually stops, cancels if its not in favor with his policy. He fired people who are smarter than him and who had an idea and opinion better than his opinion and most of all he likes you only if he benefits from you. You must have bigger asset, more than his assets. He takes credit or takes other people's credit. Israel had the war with Iran and he took credit away from Netanyahu. Later on, when the people started blaming him for such casualty, then that's only time he mentioned that men and women in uniform - the Armed Forces who successfully obliterated the nuclear sites.  Well , don't know for sure who are the AI or Artificial Intelligence infused  in that executed war plan. Who are telling the truth and who are just good at being liars. You'll never know who are ANGELS & DEMONS in our generation..

It's great that the trade talks are terminated. In the first place the TARIFF THREAT is nothing but just a playbook for Trump. It will go and on for 4 years so its like repetition of crazy boring ideas that nobody wants to play only the MEDIA takes it just for people to talk about. Its the NEWS Channels trying to spin around and play the trump agenda.  Playing the trump card again and again and the foolish people who likes to play his game are just like the characters in the novel of Dr. Rizal... foolish Tato & His Friends. 

In another news: Believe it or not shooting stars and meteorites falling from the sky. How many are too much of those meteorites?  Strange, strange... what if they are debris from space? Too many dead satellites up there in space and maybe they are losing their gravity.

TV SERIES: INVASION - Story about Aliens.

Husband bakes dozens of butter tarts and cherry tarts. Great! Two sweet desserts for tonight. The other one is a succulent mouthwatering watermelon. He told me that when he saw that watermelon at superstore, he tapped the watermelon first make sure that it sounds like a drum to figure out that the watermelon is ripe and sweet. Sure it is sweet.

The latest pic of my bougainvillea. I must admit am fascinated about this tropical flower/plant because supposedly this plant should at least bloom the whole year through. However, because it is an indoor plant in Canada not in the right environment as in not planted outside and not closer to the beach with that beachy salty air that my bougainvillea hasn't bloom for 4 years. However, I am so happy now because finally my highly regarded tropical plant blooms radiantly than ever. MIRACLE!

I wished that my bougainvillea plant will bloom more flowers in all its branches.💓😎🙏🙏

For my Friday Artwork: Life In The Farm. Wishing well and fish pond. These are the many good things we missed if we live in the urban area. Of course you cannot live in the city with your camel, rabbits and other farm animals. You probably can own dogs and have a fish pond for gold fish and at least two turtles. Whatever.

 Life is always what you make it and what makes you happy. 

A person who is happy will stay happy in that one particular place with the people who made him happy. If he or she is unhappy then that human will stay away, and find that happiness somewhere else.  Well if  that person has a choice. OPTIONS IN GOLD.

SIRI

 For whatever reason that suddenly I suffered a mental block yesterday afternoon. I forgot our telephone number. What happened? I know never in my life I call our home phone number that's why. But you know what? I can still remember our first telephone number. We moved from one house to another actually more than 10 X. Every time we moved out to a different place, street in this particular city, telephone numbers have to be changed. I can remember our first phone number since 1997 but cannot remember the rest of the phone numbers or the latest telephone number at home. Strange.

It happened yesterday. What really happened?

It was Wednesday, 25th of June 2025. Oh, I was in competition with Siri when our driver J (actually GGG's driver) asked me the direction and at the same time Siri was so loud saying " to the left, to the left... blah blah...))). The driver missed few routes because of Siri. Not my fault, lol.  I was laughing so hard and I started coughing. The driver gave me a small cough drop shaped like a doughnut.

Hmm... Siri is like a parrot actually. She loves the word "left." She mentioned it so many times even if we're not suppose to turn left. Well that's Siri AI for you. At least she's good at following a command like for music, etc. However, she failed to see the deer about to cross the road. I don't know why the deer didn't stop or just has no fear crossing the road. I told the  driver ahead of the deer's presence. She thanked me. I'm glad our driver has sharp hearing.

Anyway, were able to get to our destination.  Thank goodness.

Let say Bikini island has nuclear weapons embedded underground and was hit with missiles? Of course there will be explosions, massive. The next island would be decimated, all inhabitants will be decimated including all the surrounding vegetation, nobody lives. Extinction of life. (Imagine it in Iran. If there are nuclear weapons on those sites and were hit by missiles or atomic bomb from stealth? They're all dead by now. All the countries outside of  Iran would be decimated too). There'll be a great tsunami too and earthquake and severe  radiation. If there will be survivors they would look like zombies.

Insert the barbecue stick on Bikini island. Insert it until it protrude or penetrate down to the bottom of the globe. What country down to the bottom of Bikini island? Do you know?

You think that Earth is so small eh? It is small for BILLIONS OF PEOPLE. There are parts of the Earth that is uninhabitable  as in you cannot live there. That's why there is that billionaire who wished he could conquer planet Mars. That's why some wicked leaders tried to conquer other countries because one country is not enough for them.

What would happen if atomic bomb is dropped on certain country? Yeah I know that would be so chaotic, well depends on how many bombs and the quantity as in tons of atomic in each bomb.

Trouble, trouble. And how come stealth fighter is the ultimate fighter jet at war?

This specialized LOCKHEED F-117 is worth billions of dollars each. Value per value approach for defense.

The introduction of this STEALTH jet fighter was seen in the blockbuster movie INDEPENDENCE DAY. Is it alien in its origin? Maybe USA Defense Force is hiding the UFO SECRET for far too long.

WAR DOGS & WAR RESERVOIRS

 TOO MUCH WAR GOING ON. 

If we'll just stop watching news on TV and stop reading news from the internet we wont know what's happening around the world. If you will just concentrate on what's going on within your community in your own home you wont know about all these war and war propaganda. I'd like to think that some of those leaders are power hungry, show off and want to be in power for the rest of their lives. They could hold on to their seats as leaders for as long as they want. They don't care about humongous budget that goes with the war. WAR IS VERY COSTLY. Demolition project is costly! More costlier than building a civilization.  It's like they are rabid dogs ravenous monsters in control of spending not their own money. They spent other people's money just to show they are strong, robust and they have bones. It's a shameful act of disguise. 

I don't know if they have wishful thinking that maybe they want God to actually, personally come and appear in flesh in person just to stop the hatred, the rage and the genocide. 

Or just that they don't believe in God because they are all narcissists? MONEY, POWER, MEDIA PRESENCE & all that jazz. And somebody was so pissed and uttered the "F WORD."

Well, all those dictators and authoritarians had died from Herodes, Julius, Caesar, Kublai Khan, Genghis Khan to the last Emperor of China, Mao Tse Tung, all the butchers in the "Killing Fields," the brutality of the Japanese against Americans & Filipinos during WWII and the death of Hitler and the sadistic nature of the NAZI.  DEAD... death had came upon them. They are not immortal. They are just ordinary mortal human beings who died without honor, without dignity.

And if that somebody who favored her dog over humans then let her be. Maybe her dog never showed any characteristic of demonic entity. For those who love the Artificial Intelligence they would probably choose AI Robots.

Did you know when atomic bombs were dropped in Japan? THE JET STREAM had manipulated the direction of those bombs. So be very careful with those missiles from Iran and Israel. There are other countries in between your countries.

It is so WEIRD already! News reporters and journalists only can report what they can perceive and what's really happening around the world. Journalists being at the place of conflict to record and be the eyewitness and watchdogs. It's a day to day breaking news for the whole world to see.

Bernie Sanders was saying that what has been done is unconstitutional and it stirs for impeachment. Really? Well Americans could only count in so many ways how many is too much grounds for impeachment but wait... the man in charged is still enjoying his presidency and power even if the United Nations already alarmed of such conflict.

JD Vance had only one version, the US Attacked  Iranian  Nuclear Sites because Iran has no reason nor right to make or own  nuclear weapons. 

Step  by step to war. Actually it's already WAR the first time Israel launched its missiles. However, Iran had struck Israel first so many hundred times years before. Many innocent people DIED and destroyed properties already. You think that's just normal? IT IS WAR.  W A R

THE WAY WE LIVE. The way we think

 First day of summer is not really hot in BC. It was cooler than anticipated and today second day of summer is quite unnerving... cloudy with chance of showers maybe, maybe not! That's what it is  with summer days in British Columbia most especially at the island of Vancouver. That's why if you are wearing summer clothes, don't forget to bring sweater at least when you get out for a stroll or wherever you want to go.

Truth be told, don't really know what I have to post here or write. I woke up so early this morning at about 3:30 am worrying about a friend of mine who had this worry-some situation that is very heartbreaking. I don't know how to write it actually. I am speechless. Maybe its not for me to write about it. Just that it also affect my mental health. I don't have answer for that kind of situation. 

Would it be nice if all of us have no problems as in we could all live in harmony, peacefully forever with nothing to worry about. There's no sickness, no ailments no one has to endure life threatening illness. Living forever for eternity. Nobody grows old, nobody gets wrinkles on their skin. People have to grow up to 40 and never have to die. 40 to ethereal eternity. That would be the best gift of God to mankind. But what about those close to age 100? Maybe they wont have to die. 

OMG! That proverbial question of  "Why humans have to die?" Why we cannot live forever? Is there life after death? Why some plants and trees in the plant kingdom can live year after year even up to thousands of years when humans cannot? Why butterflies can have a life cycle that regenerate and subject themselves to metamorphosis?

Humans are the highest form of animals and yet we cannot regenerate or at least have resurrection. Life after death... only Jesus Christ the son of God known to have been resurrected but if that's the truth? 

Have you been reborn? Have you experienced life after death? I have millions of questions that need answers. Questions we wont know the answer until we experienced it for "our self." And if we ever experienced it would you have the courage for a revelation? 

 

You wished Eve was able to eat the fruit of long eternal  life not just the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. Yeah, I wished she was able to have both fruits.

SOLSTICE SUMMER

 HAPPY SOLSTICE SUMMER! 

Is it really summer season now? It's quite cooler though as if it is still Springtime at 12 Celsius which is better. I like cooler breeze than hot hot summer days. 

I told you before that my bougainvillea plant miraculously bloomed again. I noticed the tiny small buds out and already tiny blooms which of course made me happy... Eureka!

Pictures snapped on June 15th, 2025 of the bougainvillea. Today June 20, 2025 more buds and flowers out about 8 of them bloomed radiantly. Why only this year? Why this plant stopped having flowers for the year 2022, 2023 and 2024?  What could be the problem? 

Husband loves bougainvillea flowers. He traveled to countries where bougainvillea bloomed like crazy and flowers in more abundance than its leaves. 

My bougainvillea plant has more leaves than flowers. I adorned it with red ribbons.

Today is Friday, the 20th of June 2025. TGIF.

I will have to continue my sketches and coloring. I had about 3 sketchbooks already and hoping to have 4 sketchbook in the next days.

Thursday Rants

 Sudden change of weather yesterday. It doesn't know whether the sun will stay to shine or just hide within the clouds. I don't know for sure whether  have to wear a sweater or jacket or summer outfit. Well because on the 20th of this month is definitely SUMMER begins.

Anyhow, inihaw... it rained then it stopped and it rained again but not for long. You know that kind of rain that will just for short period of time to never stay. Just few minutes of shower just like watering the plants. It cooled down the atmosphere. So from 17C  down to at least 15C then the clouds brighten up in the afternoon showing blueish sky.

Thursday today, my day off. I'm worried about  a friend of mine who had been in a lot of stress and affecting her health but still managed to bake a sumptous delicious chocolate cake and had given 3 of us her friends. Wow! How sweet of her. Thank you L. Then M had given us her friends a small box of fresh strawberries. Thanks.

So today is my turn to be the chef at home and now thinking of what's for the menu today. I have my gabi (pinangat) in the freezer and it needs extra coconut cream. I could have that for lunch and dinner. But what about for my husband and kids? 

Maybe I'll cook pork, beans, potatoes, tomato stew? Or just the chicken dumplings?

Easy to cook the dumplings though. 

How I cooked the dumplings? Ready the pan with all the raw ingredients on it. Arranged them accordingly: dumplings, sliced carrots, mushrooms and gaylan. Sprinkle salt & ground black pepper, then pour oyster sauce on top, add sliced ginger. You can add cholula hot sauce if you like.

Presto! It's cooked! Dumplings  steamed rice . Ready for lunch. Easy peasy!

 And what's for baby Echo? Hmm, this cutie pie is such a fuzzy eater. Sometimes she likes pieces of grilled fish sometimes she doesn't like it. Sometimes she likes pork, beef or chicken but there are times she doesn't like it. But she loves IAMS treats, Cesar filet mignon, and Beggin' bacons. What happened to Echo's fur you may asked, she gets trimmed every after 2 months and she keeps hiding her ears. She only raises her ears when she heard noises such as when you wiggle keys, door knobs, footsteps outside or when she heard words " walk, ride, car, cat and the names of people she loves to be with."

As usual some humans got nothing to do but drop bombs in another country to cause harm, injury and death. What kind of humans are they?

I think this majestic photo was photographed in Turkey it's a  Getty's through Google images. How stunning vibrant that ancient habitat in Turkey. Who would have known that inside those strange mountains are dwellings for ancient Turkish people. The mountains looked like giant ants mounds.

Did you know that ancient Turkish were descendants of the Noah's Family. The only living Ancient Jews who lived during the Great Floods. According to a documentary/research for Noah's ark. The ark was found and discovered anchored to  a mountain in Turkey. What happened to the rest of the old Jews? They were wiped out. Only Noah''s family and all the saved animals survived. 

Sodom & Gomorrah were wiped out too, turned into ashes only Lot and his 2 daughters survived.

Genocide is not just present in our generation but during the "Old Testament" where God's nature of causing calamities and disaster is mass destruction saving  ONLY THE  SINLESS MOST DESERVING HUMANS ON PLANET EARTH.

ETHICAL ISSUES

 So many unbelievable news nowadays. Unbelievable and sort of CRAZY! How the hell those things happened? Mind boggling.

Long time ago your grandparents and parents advised you not to talk to strangers. Nowadays people will always talk to strangers on social network no matter what the issue is. They will talk to chatbots and AI Robots. Big Brothers will talk to Zingbot!

Today's war is now missile to missile without leaving the country. Missiles from Russia to Ukraine. Missiles from Israel to Iran. Less soldiers being deployed thousands of drones with bombs as attack mechanism. Recently, the conflict between Israel & Iran came into warning of PM Benjamin Netanyahu for Tehranians to evacuate as they have control of Tehran airspace.

In Medicine, rats are used for  implants for cancer. Scientists implanted cancer cells on rats and cure their cancer with their experimented drug or vaccine solution. Hmm... with the massive qty of cancer patients... are those scientists not implanting cancer cells to humans? They are playing Russian-Roulette with their experiments. What unethical job. You'll never know nowadays who are the devil or humans disguised as the devil. 

Oh darn it, too much watching FBI series on TV.

How they clone Dolly? Are they not cloning humans in their secret laboratories? Cloning humans would probably be easier than creating robots.

Those are the many questions in this crazy world, going crazier more than you'll ever know. CONSCIENCE is what some people should have.

 It was the year 1985, I was doing my research works on ROBOTS & ROBOTICS.  Why? It's because in my ECONOMICS  course diploma you have to do research and feasibility study and you have to report in front of the class and be ready with intriguing questions from professor and classmates in that subject. My research had me doing research in libraries and places known for where robots exist. In 1985, Japan is know for "robota" or robots. So have to seek search where Japanese Library at the Japanese Embassy in Ayala Avenue to help me find journals about robots and photographs of real robots or robot machines. I remember had to come back for another day and another day because there are certain bad news during that time and security is strictly for certain VIP's only. I was able to do my research the next day when everything is secured and back to normal.

When my chance to have my report of my "Robots & Robotics in the future" my professor was kind of impressed, few of my classmates were intrigued and impressed but then I heard one being who said, "that's crazy!."

Oh well looked at what's happening now since Windows 98 had been created by Bill Gates in 1998  and Apple Inc. by Steve Jobs. All those are powered by tiny donut-shaped magnetic cores. The memory disc the tiny mini memory chips that empower computers, Those magnetci cores could also be an implant in your brain for memory. Robots have those memory implant. What's in those implants are source of command that's why Stephen Hawking had his brain still functions normally even if he turned into paraplegic and until his death.

Who knows, maybe the first being on Earth was actually Robots. They lived for about 900 years until Earth and mankind can be able to live without the need to know what life is all about. Maybe Adam & Eve are robots from other planet outside of the Galaxy. In that Galaxy they have special Gala apples. LOL.  OMG!

 SCIENCE is always the Unfinished business and the highly intellectuals knew about this that's why science research always got the bigger funding in monetary matter and issues.

Let say RESEARCH works initiative for the CURE TO CANCER. Cure to ALS, Cure to Alzheimers & Dementia, Cure to effing all diseases and what have you got?

Doctor: Would you like to have cancer?

Patient: What? Why?

Doctor: So that you can join the marathon

Patient: Really? Sure why not it's a good cause.

Doctor: Thank goodness that patient helps me pay for my burgeoning loans, mortgages, wives and concubines, and holidays trip to the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Europe and all over the world. The more cancer patients more money for every doctors. SCIENCE THE UNFINISHED BUSINESS. Keep on digging.

When will all the research and findings will ever finish and give favorable results for all the sick people? 

NOBODY KNOWS but sure there are lot of people being helped and most of the time the benefactors or those who are entitled to do the research became richer and God knows what's really going on.

There's a lot of scientific research that also include the invasion called exploration of outer space and planets in the Solar System.  As of now TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS were invested into it. Nobody has ever reached Planet Mars except ROVER Opportunity & Rover Curiosity. The ROVER already sent thousands of pictures from Mars. No Martian or Marvin the Martian had been seen on those photographs except the red soil and reddish colored pebbles. Then another ROVER was sent, the Rover Perseverance in 2021. What Rover Perseverance is doing from 2021 to 2025?

Anyway, just want to post my digital painting of this bridge. This peculiar bridge derived inspiration from Nautilus of Jules Verne, it is an adjustable bridge. It is more like robotics in parts and it is a TRANSFORMER. It can transform to a HOME, tower, ship, submarine, train, robot, plane,  spaceship.

Are you happy? Happy or not you don't have to go crazy. Life is what you make it you know that right eh? 

This picture above was taken in 2023 while picking apples at my sister's apple orchard. I like apples for salad with macaroni, cheese, raisins, pineapple tidbits, spring onions, cooked chicken tiny slices or chopped, ground of black pepper and sprinkle of salt, mayonnaise. Yummy rich-creamy salad.

I made that kind of apple salad for my dessert. Yeah maybe the apple will give me the knowledge of good and evil. The wisdom to know the truth and discern what is false. 

For the tree of life, gotta have coconut meat and coconut juice. lol

Always believing? And why you believe that the HOLY BIBLE is the BOOK of the truth of the existence of  LIFE ON EARTH and Adam & Eve are our Father & Mother from the very beginning of time? That the JEWS are our Ancestors? Huh!? Look at what they are doing to other people, their neighbors...as if they were here on our EARTH to annihilate people they don't like. Is RACISM part of genocidal agenda?

Just don't believe everything. And who we have to believe?

BELIEVE WHAT YOU CAN SEE WITH YOUR OWN EYES.

Too many fallen angels on Earth. We are surrounded of them and whether you think they exist or not it will only make you crazy. They don't look like the demonic creatures you had read or see in the book, internet or movies. So, what fallen angels looked like? JUST LIKE YOU. They are disguised as humans.

They can be charming and effectively charm you or have reasoning that you might fall for their trap. They are superbly  highly intelligent beings. You can be possessed and don't know what to do. They are powerful beings or creatures of darkness. Lo and behold, if those demons are already here you know angels are here too. That fair enough?

 JUNE 12 is PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY.   Happy day of course in Philippines only if you are a true Filipino blood celebrating your country, your nation as truly loyal patriot with courage and dignity. 

Philippine Independence happened first time after the Spaniards surrendered to the Americans in 1898. After that Philippines was under the guidance of the Americans in setting up a new Government with new Philippine President Emilio Aguinaldo. People questioned why not Gat Andres Bonifacio instead which is the Leader of the KKK which is a Filipino war revolutionists. KKK in Philippines is different from US KKK (Klu Klux Klan). Emilio Aguinaldo was a high ranking officer in the military and belong to a wealthy family that's why and he was very educated. Andres Bonifacio was from middle class family.

Usually in Philippines a country's leader must belong to a  well to do or affluent family and clan able to provide the financial aid to govern a huge government. This is based on old ancient tradition before the Spanish Conquest wherein the head or leader of the Barangay was a Datu or Chieftain who owned large tract of lands and able to provide the basic needs of the people in designated area. Meaning their wealth was used to provide employment in  rice field, coconut plantation, fishing village, building houses and bridges and other infrastructure. Taxes paid by the people are unheard of just that every people in the village or barangay must work according to their skills and be of help to everybody.

NOW IN OUR TIME. Where you think Presidents and Prime Ministers get their FUND or BUDGET to govern the humongous Government?

Usually its from the TAXES PAID BY TAXPAYERS. Have you studied that in Schools & Universities? Can you just imagine of the taxes those millionaires & billionaires pay every year? That alone could make the whole country happy, convenient and contented. MILLIONS OF POPULATIONS in every country, the middle class pay taxes and GST & PST alone are contributors to Canada's wealth. To think that there are only 40 million population of people in Canada. Looks like no problem in European countries. Why USA has the highest budget deficit? What went wrong? Every American also pays their goods and services taxes that alone could make billions of budget from 350 million population unless of course their investments in other countries are not paid or cannot be paid by those war torn  countries. 

Then I saw this meme message  from a journalist. 

 

WHAT BILLIONAIRES & CORPORATIONS do anyway? Let us be FAIR & JUST. So many of those BILLIONAIRES are contributors to LOOPHOLES & DONATIONS they brought sometimes anonymously to certain designated Institutions charitable or not. What are those INSTITUTIONS? Hospitals, Universities, Food Banks, Health Care, Foreign Aid, Border Security, NASA, RESEARCH works,  and few of them sponsored SCHOLARS, Indigenous people.

Remember the Millionaire who provided 99 free homes to the Homeless? He's only a millionaire not a billionaire. How a millionaire can do something like that? What and how a billionaire would ever provide? 

What BILL GATES can provide with his billions of dollars? What Zuckerberg, Bezo and Elon Musk can do with their billions of dollars.

ANGELS ARE MESSENGERS

 I haven't perfected in drawing these cute Angels. One of those days I will make a sketch of beautiful, perfect Angels.

The images were originally from ceramic Angels I owned that sit on my Busch Cabinet. They are quite entertaining to look at. One Angel playing a guitar, one Angel holding the lamp and on his other hand holding an apple. The baby Angel holding a flower. 

I LOVE ANGELS. I have a collection of Angels. Angels are my Christmas tree toppers every Christmas Holidays.

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SAN DIEGO?

 I know so many bad news, wildfires, riots in L.A., Greta Thunberg and her fellow activists were detained and deported from Israel.Sometimes made you think are they really for real? As if its just some sort of movies being filmed in a very peculiar way. And why Greta is now in alliance with Al-Jazeera? They are lucky to have just freed freely by the Israelites.

To tell you the truth would rather watch MOVIES. Tuesday is movie time. There was an old movie BOOKSMARTS I watched recently about two  overachiever (academically) female High School students. They missed out on so many things including all what their peers are doing during High School years. They found out that their classmates were just as smart as them while they can still party out and do extra curricular activities. Before they were about to graduate they will join in and find the secrets beyond the academics.

THE WALKING DEAD: Dead City.  Do I have to reveal episode per episode of this apocalyptic/zombie series? Maybe not. Jeffrey Dean Morgan aka Negan had changed much better as being more remorseful with a conscience, he no longer is a verdugo. While Herschel still despised his mom for being over protective. 

ZOMBIE TOWN the town of CARVERVILLE who patronize their horror movie producer/director like no other and how their small town had become an apocalyptic zone.

Anyway let's have my own definition: PENTECOST is the descends of the HOLY SPIRIT after the ascends of JESUS CHRIST to Heaven. It is the Christian way of celebrating the Holy Spirit as a way or path for God to send its messages to His Chosen People and Jesus to his disciples.

I know I made it simpler for ordinary folks to understand in simple English the meaning of Pentecost.

When I was in College (University -FEU) I was scolded by my Professor in Taxation & Agrarian Reform for using my own definition in some laws made by the author of book which is a lawyer and he is by the way very famous that time, he is actually one of my heroes (Pres. FEM Sr.). She told me that my definitions are correct however my definition is longer than what's in the book,  but also she wants me and all my classmates in that class to memorize the words for  words in that book for her that's easier. She wants us to be bookish just like her.  What's in the book should be written as it is word for word.  MEMORIZATION or the ROTE SYSTEM is common in "Old Orthodox System of Education." All answers must be just like what's in the book as in you don't have a mind of your own. It must be just like the Lord's Prayer word for word without omission of or missing a word.

Just like this definition for ECONOMICS which I memorized way back then 19881: Economics is a social science that seeks to allocate scarce human and non-human  resources for alternative use. Because we were asked one by one for definition of ECONOMICS.There was already scarcity of resources in 1970's to 80's to 90's and beyond and what we are using for resources are already alternative and recycled.

My MEMORY was perfect way back then. I can memorize a book. Well I am not the only one who can do that, so many of us in Philippines. Our teachers are bookish too. I have at least two Harvard Grads as our professors in FEU, one in English subject, one in Psychology subject.

Later on here in Canada, my husband's aunt Helen told me that Rote System is no longer popular in Canada. Aunt Helen was a school teacher. 

I believe that rote system is no longer being administered in Canada because the modern technology had ruined our children's education. Computers and cellphones had made education easier and attainable. That you can study and learn by using computers for it is a handy tool for excellence.  COMPUTERS are excellent source of information of all subjects known to mankind. 

According to Elon Musk you can learn from You Tubes. Sort of. You can learn facts and fiction through the internet. Facts of life: Fiction or True Story? Who are for real? Who are for the lies and manipulation of lies? Computers are your books to knowledge. Will you ever learn wisdom from it? Will you ever meet true friends from the internet? From Social Media? Perhaps. Some people met through online social networks, dated and got married. Some people  have happy ending some were unlucky being abducted and victims of stalkers and murderers or serial killers. Its good and evil out there. Friends for life become enemies look at Elon & Donald. They are now called Alien vs Predator. 

Whatever lies ahead, whatever games they are playing ... I'M OUT. 

Games they played and the players who sold their games or those who encircled them do we have to trust them? They all looked like itchy poisonous jellyfish. lol Fishy, fishy!

 

My latest drawing of a Native Filipina before the arrival and conquest of the Spaniards. Princess Urduja is not really a legendary myth. Princess Urduja is the first female warrior belonging to the tribe of the Lakandula & Datu  Lapu-Lapu era. It was Lapu-Lapu who killed Magellan, a Portuguese not Spanish. The difference between Portuguese and Spanish is Portuguese are people from Portugal and Spanish or Spaniards are people from Spain. Portuguese were despised in Feudal era in Japan and European countries. Have you seen the teleseries SHOGUN? The British despised the Portuguese in the world exploration and navigation they just messed up the orderly arrangement of things. Anyway Lapu-Lapu, a Filipino first national hero had changed Spain's conquest towards Philippines that lasted 500 long years.

 

 

COURAGE & BRAVERY in Growing Old

IF we could all live forever wouldn't it be nice and wonderful. That could be so amazing! 

Do we have to blame our ancestors, Adam & Eve the very first humans created by our Lord God according to the Holy Bible: Genesis. When they should choose the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good & evil and they had chosen only that one tree  not to include the fruit from the tree of life. And if ever they had chosen both what life would be? The world would be populated with all the gifted and they can live forever and ever and Earth is not the only planet of Life.

However, because knowledge of the GOOD & EVIL  has been acquired, it takes WISDOM to know the truth and discern what is false. It takes courage to make things right when you realized you have to battle wits with egocentric humans who know nothing about themselves and mind you too many with attention deficit in our generation. You, a peaceful human being tend to avoid those nasty, harmful entities that you end up a loner, depressed and mentally disabled. Depression can take a lot of phases a level of distress and distraught to your mental capacity that's why for the most part "road not taken" is the answer.

 Husband Lorne & I   at a party for the community sometime in 1993. We have a newborn baby and our lives were the best, happy and contented. then the twins arrived to complete our happy family.

At Age 50. Still happy and contented. Happy family... nothing sort of to be worried about until... what really happened after that? If I have to read my own diary of what really happened after 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 it was like downward spiral to something unstoppable and the weather patterns, the calamities and disaster  keep coming back like some sort of in- timing with what's happening in politics. Too much politics had affected the economic downturn of not only Canada but also USA and other countries in the world. 

Who we have to blame?  The MEDIA? The Artificial Intelligence? Modern Technology? The level of pressures too much not only for old people but for the youth of today. The conflict the humongous problems are overwhelming and even if there are solutions some humans do not accept them as in the ultimate answer for them is genocide, destruction and end of life.

Old people had  experiences before that could help us, those who had lived through World War I & II mistakes or human errors can lead to choosing the wrong leader or wrong "Messiah." False Messiah or the false prophet eventually leads to Prophet of Doom.

Before that happens in our real time and if we still have time 

BE BRAVE ENOUGH. BE STRONG! If not, if you don't have the courage to make things right then we are all set for destruction and the False Messiah lead us stray.

To think that those ALIENS Vs PREDATORS are out there causing so much destruction already.

Ha! You think that's funny? The false prophets of doom have new names. So be very aware.
 
 

SINIGANG for dinner?

Or what about my favourite viand: TARO LEAVES PINANGAT.

Taro leaves fresh from Edmonton. I had all the taro leaves washed and cleaned first. Then cooked (saute') the stuffings in hot boiling canola oil using a big stainless wok on high heat.Let it cool down in a bowl.

STUFFING: Sliced pork, shrimps, smoked salmon, ginger, garlic, onions, salt and ground black pepper.

Divide 12 taro leaves into 4.   Three taro leaves on top of another. Bigger sized taro leaf at the bottom, medium and small sized taro on the surface of the leaves  and then place the stuffing inside. Tie the taro leaves like a gift. Shown on the image below.

Who wont go wrong? The images provide of how its being done.

Place the 4 taro leaves -gift in a big wok with 2-3 cans of coconut milk and drop the 2-3 slices of ginger, sprinkle with salt and ground pepper. Cook the pinangat on high heat for 30 minutes, cover with lid. Check it. Lower the heat and simmer the pinangat for another 30 minutes until its cooked. Don't let it dry. Its better to have the coconut cream all over the pinangat.

Note: Most of the Filipino exotic foods are cooked in a very laborious way.

Yum!!! Best exotic spicy hot viand ever! Serve it hot with steamed jazmine rice. Enjoy!
