Almost end of January! Actually the last day for the month of January and tomorrow is the fresh start of February.

Season finale of  EVIL has finally ended last night. I wished they had it earlier instead of having it on 10 pm timeslot. EVIL: Episode - BOOK 27. What the episode about? Another mind boggling story of exorcism. Last night was about a pregnant woman who happened to be having twins (babyboy and a babygirl) however I think the woman has a miscarriage (after swallowing the holy wafer given by the officiating priest at the communion rite) and blood all over down her legs to the grounds of the Church had the onlookers get the shock, she was rushed to the emergency room at the hospital and the findings? I couldn't believe what the doctor has said, that the other twin baby was "absorbed." In all the works Kristen is doing for the research together with supposedly saintly David (who happened to be addicted to  substance that leads to hallucination); while her own family is having difficulty from the surveillance of  evil characters Leland and the one who got away from murder. Taking matters to her hands and she did what she could do to protect her family especially her 4 daughters. The mother of Kristen was of no help because she was enamored to the devilish Leland Townsend who wants to marry her. Yup, the story is becoming complicated and the devil lurks deeply within each and every character. The devil George is dead? Do you think the devil dies?

 Do you think the twin babyboy absorbed the babygirl? That's weird. The babies were  byproduct through the fertility clinic of the RSM.

There are many shocking stories in the EVIL series, BOOK 27 is not the only episode that can shock and surprise the audience. EVIL is a brand new, refreshing flavor of shocking your senses. Although there's a slight taste of darkroast humor in it simply there's no denying the fact whether Kristen, Ben and David are skeptics, evil and wicked? The lies within...

Maybe they all need eyeglasses!? Just like Dr. Melendez in THE GOOD DOCTOR, he should wear eyeglasses every time he does surgery.

EVIL will haunt you every now and then and lucky for them, they will have another hundred episodes in the future.

WHY?

So much tragic events for the first month of the Calendar Year 2020. Wow! It's almost impossible to believe.

First the tragedy of the flight from Tehran, Iran when missile was accidentally fired hitting the Ukrainian plane and crashed (with Iranian passengers mostly Iranian with Iranian Canadians and Ukrainian crews and pilots). Everyone died. It was so tragic. There are no words how to describe that there are dangers aboard airplanes and it is not safe to fly, whether it's been hit by missile or whatever up there above the clouds. First thought that was sort of a publicity stunt for the TV series MANIFEST. But it's not. It was terrible loss for those who mourn the passing of their loved ones. One by one all the passengers were then identifies as professionals. Almost every Iranian passengers on that ill-fated flight were listed as educated and with bright futures ahead of them. OMG! I first though, again it was a publicity stunt for the movie BRIGHTBURN. Sorry! Next the news told their stories and showed beautiful faces of these Iranians who mostly looked like polished Hollywood faces, professionals! Tributes and vigils were then held in different venues. PM Justin Trudeau asked the Iranian government to pay for their dues. They must pay for such tragedy.

Then the latest tragedy yesterday was that of famous basketball player, known the world over. There's no denying the fact that Bryan Kobe is the world's top 5 basketball player with the ranks of Michael Jordan, magic Johnson, and can you name other basketball topnotchers within their ranks? Bryant Kobe, according to the news has died from helicopter crash together with other passengers including Kobe's own daughter. What a tragic loss.

Not very long time ago, when the famous son of  JFK (US Pres.) also died tragically when the plane he piloted, crashed landing down somewhere at Martha's Vineyard. ? The whole world also mourns of his passing. Mystery, mystery!

Tomorrow, it's the anniversary of the SPACE SHUTTLE DISASTER (January 28, 1986). We all know what NASA is doing for the whole EARTH, for the most part we are all benefited from the works of NASA (National Aerounatics & Space Administration) and to think that their MISSION failed because of such disaster is simply a tragic loss for mankind and billions of dollars lost eventually gone to ashes. After so many years of painstakingly, costly, rigid training for the 7 crew members (5 NASA astronauts, 1 payload specialist, 1 civilian teacher) all died aboard the space shuttle CHALLENGER after 73 seconds into its flight. The Space Shuttle Challenger broke apart and exploded in space. To think that the mission was televised and the whole world was watching of its launch into space. Imagine looking up into the sky and see within your naked eyes and then "BOOM!" That was so shocking. It was a psychological impact on every witnesses who happened to be a part of such incredible and horrible disaster. That too was a painstakingly knowing and searching for answers on WHY and what really the cause of such disaster? Is it mechanical problem? Is the space ceiling not high enough? Are the clouds too thick because of ice ? Did the shuttle hit the Earth's shield? What could be? I think it was Richard Feynman who brought answers to that inquiry.

Are You The Next Matrix?

In our generation nobody has perfect vision. Wala ng may 20/20 vision. Even some kids and babies use eyeglasses now just to see their own moms. I think we have to blame the modern technology that so many of us are so addicted. First thing in the morning, cellphone agad and hawak. balewala na ang personal hygiene. First thing in the morning you know what to do, don't have to remind you that time and time again.

So how many of you are victims of the BLUE LIGHT?
Probably you are not aware that modern equipment such as computers, tablets, laptops and cellphones have "blue light emitting through electronic devices."
For the vision impaired or color blinds don't really know what kind of light they can see.

BLUELIGHT is persistent in webcams. You probably use webcams when chatting with your loved ones. Looking direct to the webcamera...have you notice that very bright light and if the focus of light centers or directly hit your eyes suddenly it breaks something through your retina and you started to cry for no apparent reason? That's the bluelight effect and that's dangerous!

So, make story short I saw that advertisement of  LUTEIN to protect your eyesight. I haven't try this medication. I don't know how effective Lutein is but maybe I will try this when the right time comes.

One of my laptops has this BLUELIGHT SHIELD. The question is why in other old laptops or computers they don't have this sign or symbols? Could it be that we are not well informed such bluelight effect until so many got victimized already? I don't really know. Because of such bluelight it makes me wonder and afraid to use my new laptop. Could it be that it has something to do with SPEED?

Anyway, if somehow the bluelight is a menace to your vision better use eyeglasses or sunglasses with UV protection. You know, feel free to be the next MATRIX.

What The Hell!!!!!!!! FISH!

All of a sudden I have cravings for herring. Of all fish with lots of herring bones. What the hell. Sometimes, buckets of fresh herrings are sold at the downtown fishing dock or at the pier. But haven't heard any news of herring being sold down there anymore. Why? Herring or anchovies perhaps?

Maybe some fishermen are using so much herrings for baits. Not knowing herrings are good for variety of edible viands.

How about anchovies? Would you believe that anchovies are available in Canada as baits only?
8 pieces of anchovies are very, very costly! Husband bought 2 pkgs of anchovies last year for baits and the cost of 2 pkgs (16 pcs of anchovies)  = $ 20

That's right it is overtly expensive! Ridiculous fish. Fishy!
It is very fishy as fishy as the experiment in THE GOOD DOCTOR when Dr. Murphy and pathologist Carly experimented on group of fish on how those creatures will react to the different medicines. What brand of medicines (drugs) should be administered or prescribed to the almost dying patient at their hospital. Gross! Wow! I couldn't believe that  weird experimentation is now being applied on fish. That's WEIRD SCIENCE for you.

You are just as fishy as the fish, maybe. LOL. OMG! The Koreans way of storytelling-infused the minds of the West. No wonder PARASITE movie is their choice for this year's Best Picture.

Anxiety

Reading comments after comments about the "departure" of Harry & Meghan from Royalty and royal treatment made Canadians happy and sad. Yeah that kind of feeling giving them the anxiety of how a famous royal prince can cope up living in Canada. OMG! FGS! You guys should worry about yourselves. Meg and Harry could probably land offers from the Media and Hollywood, remember their friends are mostly people who work in showbiz. Or they could join Big Brother show and earn $1,000/week or win the $500,000 for the long duration if one of them are chosen the winner of Big Brother. Of all people, the couple has lots of many fortunate options. They could join the Amazing race and Survivor show, they are athletic and physically fit they could do anything.

When you think that it is only Meg & Harry turning away from royalty, you have to think of the King of Jordan who went incognito long time ago or the disguises of Taugama Buddha. If they really like the private life, they should choose a life beyond borders or boundary without limits where no one knows them. You don't like being  recognized? Use disguises. Follow the bondlife. They probably have microchips embedded in their skin not worrying they could lose the identity of the prince.

We all have anxiety. We are worried all the time. We worried about other people when we have to worry about ourselves. That anxiety wont go away and Canadians are people who worried too much. It is not their problems but worrying other people could jeopardize their own health and wealth. Please stop worrying other people's problems.

The snow has melted! Yey! Thank God! From -7 C temperature it's now 7 degrees Celsius. Sunday today, you must be thankful and attend mass at the Church or on whatever denominations you are affiliated with always be grateful for all the blessings that come your way.

I know, humans tend to be overtly religious when calamities strike their provinces. Some people only think about God and pray only when they are in imminent danger. Prayers help. It helps anyone, anybody. Praying is sometimes your deep calling and talking to God personally.

First thing to do in the morning after you open your eyes is to pray that you wake up. It's another brand new day full of hope and hoping today will bring you lots of good luck and happiness. It's only you that can bring happiness to yourself. It is your mind-thinking on how you can start the day right. Do not ask another person to do it right for you.

Do not ask EVE if you need another Extra Vehicular Activity.

Avoid pressures that could make you stressful or that causes you pain. Avoid unnecessary drama and hate. Watch only movies and news that offer non-stressful situations. Avoid watching the letting go and goodbyes to the non-stop royalty because Hitler & Einstein already set that record straight in World History that facts and fiction do not result to anything but zero point and WORLD WAR ZONEs. Watch comedy movies for a change.

Last night, this is what we watched on TV. Free movie actually so it's more of a bonus.

Remember the BOSS BABY? Yeah that kind of movie that can make you laugh and cry. Do you cry when your happy? LOL. Weird! I enjoyed watching an animated cartoon movie like that.
For whatever reason, cartoons had those "natural emotional facial recognition" that can touch so many aspects of life drama in the most fascinating ways.

Laughter is the best medicine, so far.

BILLS

Warm inside the house, cold outside at -7C. To choose whether hot is better than cold weather temperature is simply a matter of perspective. Humans who live in countries with colder climate temperature look younger than humans who live in hotter temperature countries. Humans on colder countries have cooler heads and always think about humanities, peace and environment.

When you think about the future and humanities you tend to be unselfish and wanting to have only few kids that you can take care, support and manage. When you become idealistic and your resources are enough the next best thing is to help and support others. Well, only if you are financially able and capable. If only...

Let's go over to that latest news of a man who never pays his phone bills because somebody is paying his bills? According to the man he pays his bill through emails. Meaning direct deposit and pay through direct billing. In our generation, bills are sent through emails. What about those old people without computers and don't have internet connections?  Nobody delivers bills through the P.O. Mailboxes anymore. That's the biggest mistake that could land all of us in troubles. WHY?
Have you seen the movie SUPERMAN? The old Superman movie where actor Richard Pryor works for a computer company and he was tech savvy with all the switches that all the billings passed through his computer system. His role in that movie is a cheat, a conman. Trying to cheat customers from every penny and dollars he could steal from innocent victims. Imagine yourself being billed for somebody else's usage of the phone, internet and television connection and what will you do? Who the hell you think is doing all the wickedness of such horrendous act other than the hackers or humans who worked in those tech companies. ?.  Nowadays, the billing company just send exact billing in $$$ of how much you owed without stating how that "energy" been accumulated. You know this is the true nature of  paying bills through the internet and it's not secured and it's not clean. Somehow somebody out there who are so professional savvy stealing every cent, every pennies and dollars from millions of customers and what could have been stolen from us can be in MILLIONS to BILLIONS OF DOLLARS.

My family went out today for an outing with a mission to check out what's happening down there on the road, how thick is the snow on the grounds at the apartment and townhouses. It's not as bad as we thought would be. It was afternoon when suddenly the winter snowfall is more a plenty that it's thickness (snow) is more visible not just an "icing on a cake." From 2.5" thick snow here at our yard, the snow is more higher on another part of the island. It depends where you live. In other parts of the island within the city where we live the snow measures over 6 " thick on -6 C temperature.
 If its snows tonight and until next morning the accumulation of snow would be at least 2 ft. in thickness. Two ft. ( 2 ft.) high snow would mean cancellation of schools, University and Colleges. Why bother right? Why the need to risk your lives driving on two ft. (24" ) (2 ft.) ft. of  snow unless if its important for you to get out like you work in the hospital, or you work for the public, works and highways, clearing the snow and sprinkling industrial salts on the ground, or you are a paramedic or you are in the military or police force. Would you do it clearing the snow where you live, where you have to get out from the doorway? Would you wait for assistance? You could probably work or attend to work driving with your vehicles with snowtires and chains attached to your tires or commute through public bus. Knowing those buses get stuck too sometimes on pile of snow. There's no use getting out of the comfort zones when there's a snowstorm or blizzards and the visibility is foggy and impaired. Whatever! It is really up to that person or group of people to drive cautiously and be safe on the roads and highways. Equip your vehicle with necessary emergency tools if ever. Have a blanket, shovel for snow and windshield brush ready in your car or truck. Wear clothing appropriate for the very cold winter weather.

We did our turn of shoveling the snow and clear the snow at our place and two other places of work. we could only pray and hope no more snow tomorrow. Let us wish that the snow will melt tomorrow. Or just pray that it's already springtime. LOL. Well, that's too much to ask.

P.S. Watching how people in different walks of life manage to get out and wait for support from the military when they have two hands to grab a shovel and start shoveling or clearing their doorways out of snow. I know it is weird, so strange in many parts of Canada. I could only think that the population of such area is so old and may people with disabilities  have problems shoveling and digging snow out from their doorways and yard.

Watching WEATHER CHANNEL on TV helps everyone to know and be informed of the daily forecast when it comes to weather. NO TV? Listen to radio news and or log in to the internet for news. Billions of people with cellphones, you can be informed of latest news and weather news unless of course if what you are watching and listening to the the non-essential, not important news and that's the problem.

Nobody likes any post I blog here at my own blog except that of SIOMAI. Would you believe? WTH!!!!! They want those siomai photos forever. Crazy dudes! If I keep on blogging another post it automatically deletes and power off. I was cut offline the internet and voila the SHAW connection appeared when I try to troubleshoot. What the hell is happening?

Uhm, could be the hacker is Mandarin. ?

Show Me Your Siomai

 Suddenly I have cravings for Chinese dumplings > siomai. Yeah those siomai dumplings above and below on those photographs.

 Siomai on the photos are much, much bigger than ordinary siomai. Just 2-3 pcs. of these homemade siomai can fill your tummy real good and real fast.

 Watching the preparation and steaming of siomai, all the works put into the beginning and wrapping of  mixed stuffing: ground pork, ground or thinly chopped shrimps, garlic,  salt, pepper, onions, shredded carrots, sriracha, ground ginger, soy sauce, chopped cilantro or spring onions. Use one egg to at least 2 eggs to mix the ingredients, eggs act as glue to moisten the wrapper. Wonton wrappers are used to wrap the siomai. Above photo had me steaming the siomai on improvised steamer.

 Then husband L said better to use his old steamer for vegetables. The siomais are bigger in size than most ordinary regular siomai.

Keep the bottom pot boiling of its water while the steam push upwards to the second pot on second level with a lid.  Result: Delicious, flavourful siomais.

For dipping sauce: China Lily Soy sauce with ground ginger and lime juice. You can use lemon juice or buy Kikkoman sauce as another option.

Why local  Chinese restaurants don't serve siomais? There's so much work in the making, preparation  and steaming of such food.

Day Two. January 2, 2020

Holidays are over? You and I wished the Holidays are over and it's time to start the regular days, typical days just like old days but we all should renew our daily routines.

There are too many important events, anniversaries, birthdays and worthy memories to celebrate for the month of  January. Of course we have to remember the birthday anniversaries of  our favorite saints, friends and by the way Chinese Lunar New Year falls on January 25, 2020. Hold your breath... it's the zodiac sign Year Of The Rat. 2019 is the Year of the Pig and Year 2020 is the Year of the Rat.

THE RAT RACE.

It's terribly cold today. Well, at this time of the year, most of the time January is one of the coldest month. It is the month that you have to expect snow falling on the ground and the roof tops of most houses and buildings turned white covered with snow or frost. It's okay, nothing worry about.

While Canada and the US have winter season, the continent of Australia is experiencing massive wildfire. Their grounds are so dry. The latest news from news network that 17 people died already and some animals who cannot escape also perished.  At summer time last year (actually the wild, wild, wildfire happened 2 years ago every summer), part of British Columbia also experience drought and wildfire also consumed large regions of the forest as if charcoal was its ultimate end.

The good thing about charcoal is, it acts as coal. You can make lots of important products from such charred log of trees. You can produce so much black ink by the tons. Hopefully a massive devastation will have valuable usage for mankind. Humanity as its best.
