Pressure Never Stop

The City of C. R. (Dodie B.) called our house and asked  to where they (CCR) can bill the "work done" on the front yard last Saturday. The work was actually shutting off the main water tap and opening of the drainage hole located at the front yard, on the lawn. The bill? $200. It was a less than 30 minutes work of shutting down the tap or the switch whatever or pipe whatever you call it in your language. The worker didn't dig anything on the yard. The blob or the ground stump that was raised up was sort of water build-up or pressure. Anyway, maybe because he was called from work on Saturday that could be the reason why it has to be costly.

Maybe it's cheaper if from a private company that was called to attend to that bulge or blob on the ground. Not the Ghostbuster! lol. j/k The guy or the city worker has resemblance with the Hollywood actor. dude, not funny!

Imagine if my husband would be called at the middle of the night while a commotion of drunk  tenants  started to cause so much trouble and my husband was there pronto at the site of conflict. How much he's paid for such peacekeeping work? Nothing. The cops told my husband to call the RCMP right away when there is such trouble. The next morning, our vehicle was full of broken eggs pelted by the unruly troublesome tenant. How much would it be if my husband is called for demolition and renovation for a 2 bedroom house? I don't know, but I assumed that he should be paid $25/hour to $30/hour. Heavy work. Demo and reno are work intended for professional, highly skilled laborer. My husband is highly skilled worker, professional, and deserves better pay and wages and benefits. He doesn't get that kind of wage!!!!!!!! That's the way it is in Canada.

When you think that some people are wealthy because they have vehicles and houses? Think about high utilities and taxes to pay. The basic necessities in life to survive in urban community. It's no laughing matter. If you're making $5,000/month the deductibles are amazingly half of that. You only received $2,500 and mortgage or rent for the house? How you gonna live with just 1,000/month after deductions if you have 3 children? That $1,000 for food. So basically NOTHING's left. So many workers tend to have at least 3 jobs to attend to survive the harsh life. If you don't you become one of the millions of homeless.

Back to the ground:
No problem now except that the ground on the front yard is so soft to step on. It's not concrete in the truest sense. That maybe the reason why it should not be watered or no water sprinkle for the rest of the year. Let it just stay under the condition "desertland." That could be it, as what Sandy said that yard never been so green because it was likened to a "desert." Cactus or cacti would be the best option to plant on that space.

Do I want a front yard with lots of cactus plants as if I'm living in Arizona?

I could only think that the winter snow from December, January to February had the water stocked or trapped from underneath or there is underground running water from the ocean to our place, as we are located walking distance from the beach. Oopsi, not to scare you but I'm scared though. Whatever.
This island is one of the safest island. I hope so.

The Weirdness Never Comes Easy

 One of those hottest days when barbecue is the most delicious viand. Pork marinated in spicy soy sauce, lemon/lime juice and black pepper preferably ground. Then a bowl of cold potato/egg salad with sliced lettuce of course with mayonnaise dressing. Stir-fry beansprout and slide thin carrots. Who said I wont eat when there's so much pressure?

There's not enough drama for the day to keep me upset. I rented and watched the movie "The Favourite" starring Emma Stone, Rachel Weisz, and the new British actress,  talented Olivia Colman. Just couldn't believe that the life story of Queen Anne is outrageously incredible, mysterious and somewhat for the "closet." I mean is she a he or he a she? Oh my! I don't want to spoil the story so that you can watch it too and rent the video. It's hilarious and deceptive especially those men wearing  wigs and faces are covered with thick cosmetic or make-up. Weird.

 Speaking of weird things. You thought that sunflower only bears one flower per one stem. that's the normal in thing with sunflowers.

However, look at this variety with extra two flower buds aside from having the main bigger bud. Strange right? Kind of look-like the monster in the sequel of Resident Evil. And the light from the ceiling is having a strange flickering of some kind.  Coincidence?

I first thought 2 extra buds are enough to make it 3 in one stem but two small buds grew on the same stem. So when those flowers grow and bloom in August of 2019, this rare sunflower would yield 5 amazing sunflowers in just one stem. FIVE IN ONE.

Early Morning Rants

You know what pisses me off? When suddenly my blogs and picture albums are being hacked right before my eyes. How many times? Why?

Why don't you just pay? Why steal? OMG! What's inside my blogs and photo albums that you like? What's wrong with you hackers?

Can you just use Google and just choose some photos there for your hack? Why my blogs? There are so many worthy of hack out there.

Are you into the games and you want to cheat? Are you bunch of cheaters? You are losers then.

My God! Early morning to have had find out that my blogs are being hack what the hell with you hackers! Where you live? Where are you hackers? You think you can get away with your hack? I don't think so!

OMG! Why every time these stupid hackers like hacking my computer. If its not the hackers thr. the internet, sometimes its the realtors hacking my computers. What the hell you want happening in your lives? Do you want hailstones? Do you want an early autumn? Do you want me to change the weather? Do you want snow falling right now at summer time? Do you want asteroids falling at your doorstep?

Happiness Is Watching Sunflower's Existence

 July 26, 2019 -  This incredible sunflower is like an emoji (emoticon) showing its face and its expression is far from what we used to expect.

 July 27, 2019 -  The sunflower looks kind of happy and naughty. 8 bright yellow petals opened and now we can see part of the crown.

 Before sunset, I left the sunflower in its jolly persuasion to be naughty or nice. Actually it looks kind of creepy. Ha ha ha!

July 28, 2019 - Today, the sunflower looks kind of  mild and mellow. We wont know until the end of the day when several petals will open up for us to see and right now 10 petals are out. It depends on how hot the weather temperature and to the extreme maybe more yellow petals will open. Looks like there are about 28 petals altogether in one crown of sunflower.

The fascinating life of  plants are simply a challenge to most botanists. It's a never-ending study of the plant kingdom, its behaviour, attitude and similarities with human life. Incredibly amazing!

Do you like the slow-motion demo or you want the real fast demo? There are other humans who made it real fast by  doing it their way of copying and pasting and pass it. Others had cheated their way and the rest they just don't do it. Yeah not a Nike fanatic eh? lol. It's individual's intelligence of doing it. You can buy your own sunflower and not wait of how sunflower opens up. It's just a flower. That's right. Those people got other things to do and we can't blame them if they cheat their way through the "experimentation." Right, sunflower...you are just like a baby who needs certain kind of love, care, attention and affection plus all the nourishment you need.

There's Always A Time For Everything

If I will stay at Facebook for the rest of the day and wait for some posts there I will neglect my blogs. That is so true with people who are working in the office. There is a time for play and a time for work.

Work at Google. Friendly post at Facebook for relatives and friends to see. That's what it is unless of course if we are paid at Facebook but we're not. Maybe the people who stayed at facebook 24hrs./day are telemarketers. Anyway, blogging is fun too. It creates diversity, creativity and productivity to think more than what you can imagine. So I am stuck with people who are workaholics, retired teachers, educators, scientists, writers and novelists. Glad to be in their kind of crowd. So be it
let's get crowded. lol

Fresh & It's Delicious!

 After every 3 days we harvested some cucumbers and zucchinis and after every 4 days there are plenty of blueberries to pick from the garden.

My family enjoys fresh vegetable salad with dill dressing and for the most part I enjoyed a freshly baked zucchini/blueberry cake with spices: ground chili powder, ground cinnamon plus sprinkle of shredded cheese.

Moist, hot fresh from the oven cake and it's delicious.

Anything Goes. Anybody Goes. How To Survive?

The sound of siren was loud last night while we were watching the two hour episode of  THE BACHELORETTE. The funniest episode when suddenly Luke P. arrived at the "Rose ceremony" and joined the 3 bachelors: Peter (the pilot), Tyler (the contractor/house builder/ fisherman), and Jed (the musician). Although the 3 remaining bachelors were surprised and murmuring about Luke P's presence they didn't boot him out. Then when bachelorette Hanna B. came for the rose ceremony, she was a little surprise of Luke's presence. They had a mild conversation until it get heated up and no amount of plea nor apology would change Hanna B's mind. She finally made up her mind that Luke is out of that ceremony and out from that show. The 3 bachelors grouped themselves together and booted out Luke P. Harris the TV host of The Bachelorette (and The Bachelor) came to know what was happening and told Hanna B. that Luke P. was there to ask some form of clarity and he also got the engagement ring. Hanna B. was shocked and she was seen crying and unable to continue the show.

Then the next episode had  Chris Harris interviewing Luke P. on TV live audience on the studio. Luke P. was candidly having his moments of his life answering questions one by one from the TV host. Then the guys who were already been eliminated from the rose ceremonies before came to the studio also for interviews. It seems that the audience have their eyes focused on John Paul Jones who is a look-alike of McGyver. A fanatic fan asked if she could cut a piece of his hair for souvenir. Really? Why? For DNA testing? Why Hanna B. didn't choose JP Jones from among the bachelors? Age gap? Hanna B. is probably looking for somebody older than her? Who is the true real Hanna B.? Why she was not chosen by the virgin Colton of the Bachelor show?

When Hanna B. arrived to be interviewed by Harris she had good reviews about Luke P. as the man who saved her the very first night of the introduction (premiere) of The Bachelorette as she was having cold feet and nervous don't know what to do nor how to handle the drama of such reality show. If there's a problem, Luke came rushing in to her side as if he is the man who anchors her and make her strong in front of the camera. Then for whatever reason that she mentioned "the slut-shaming quote" and that's the time that Luke P. escaped from further humiliation.

No script reality show. Or do they have script? I don't really watch THE BACHELOR or THE BACHELORETTE except at the time when this controversial virgin Colton became the most talked about bachelor ever on TV news and sitcoms. He was that popular for being "the virgin" and he is a man. People were stunned! The word virgin only stands for females not males.  Then when suddenly the chosen supposedly right woman for virgin Colton suddenly was taken off-guard and was ushered by Colton right there at her limousine and  "out" for the rose ceremony and wont be the woman of his choice, no more. Television viewers were shocked, audience were shocked. Of all women in that show, she was the only one introduced to Colton's family. What the hell just happened? So there 'ya go... it was like a psychological thriller and that ahs created an appeal for much wider audience. Men all over the world would like to know HANNA B.  What's next? The psychopath Luke P. ? The monster? The rest of those men were accusing him as such. Reality bites. What could be? Are they all actors and stuntmen that they are willing to be compromised so that they can gain power and influence and of course that's publicity right there on TV.  They have to fight and battle for the best reality show on Earth. And what's happening on BIG BROTHER is also an outwit & outplay just like THE SURVIVOR show.

Everyone has to survive.

In My Garden Of Dahlias

Only 8 degrees C. today in weather temperature. However, 23 degrees C. inside the house because of very thick insulation and even if the windows are open. We used electric fans but not quite open. When it's really unbearable and we're about to scream bloody hell oven-hot then we have to turn on the fan at the living room.  This house has no A/C unlike in previous homes we lived at and the staggering cost of hydro is over the top.

Yeah, people the hot, hot sun is like being in Saudi but you are in B.C.

The weather temp. outside will increase by the hours until it reached 24 degrees Celsius.

And let us visit my garden of flowers.

Uncontrollables & Unstoppables

So glad not to hear any siren this morning. It was yesterday when there were several sirens heard. Two siren sounds in the morning, one in the afternoon and three siren sounds at night. What could be the siren sounds? Emergency? Traffic accidents? Wildfire in nearby town? So strange indeed. Loud. Only at summer time. Well most of the siren probably emergency, patients admitted to hospitals due to heat exhaustion. When it's hot it's HOT in B.C. at summer time. If you don't have air conditioning unit at home you are in trouble because the thick insulation in many homes are really thick and built for cold winter months.  You can't hear that siren blast sound during winter. The speed of sound during winter is slow. And you wonder why too many deaf or  hard of hearing during the cold, winter months. The block of ice and wall of snow make travel of sound real slow or worse you can't really hear any sound. Would you blame people having computers and text messaging devices? TEXTING. You keep on talking everyday next thing is you'll be farting too much. Too much accumulation of air in this part of the world. Texting is much better than talking.  Sign of times. Feeling the HACE? Not yet, it's summer time dude.



The storm didn't continue. It was stopped, rather controlled. Wow! Did you know that there are countries in the world that can control the weather? How's that possible? Too many witches now? LOL.

 Just showing the apron I made which I usually wear when I'm cooking. The stove is hot  better wear apron.

 More sewing to do. The pair of shorts is finished. It was a simple kind of shorts and I have two pairs of shorts in burgundy colors.  Next would be a violet colored cullotte in other words...SKORTS.

 Then it was time to cook something for dinner. Chicken kebabs Greek style with lots of spices: ground black pepper, ground garlic, salt, ground oregano, chopped cilantro, sprinkle with vegetable salt, marinated on soy sauce with ground ginger.

Panfried first the beef steak then when edges are cooked have to grill it inside the hot oven. The best tasting beef need only sprinkle of salt, black pepper and dash of ground oregano.

This is our hearty supper of chicken kebabs and steamed corn and beef steak. We worked so hard, we eat gourmet food.

 Then I realized I don't eat chicken so I panfried prawns with sliced thin zucchinis and onions on hot cooking oil (butter or olive oil - optional)

Because, I didn't cook pancit on my childrens birthday have to cook pancit this time using the spaghettini pasta instead of the usual farkay noodles. Real delicious food. Our meal is complete for the day.

Uhm, I should open a restaurant the way I'm inspired to cook eh?

Equal Pay For Equal Work

Windy today and I love it. Fresh air ... I need fresh air. My computer is once again very sensitive to my touch. So weird. I have a mind of my own though and wont give up just because the computer is getting haywire as if it has mind of its own. Duh. Fck off! lol. That when I touched the light switch also give off some kind of current or inertia. Ground. WTH! Volt.

I started with my sewing project. It's a timely project. I'm finished with the apron on two materials that I combined, sort of retazo. Then I altered  a housedress too colorful not to end up as junk. Next, I'm into sewing a pair of skorts when suddenly I felt dizzy. I told myself have to stop and went to my room and  rest and relax. Watched ET (Entertainment Tonight and Etalk). I also watched the continuation of AMAZING RACE CANADA (From Revelstoke, BC to Edmonton, Alberta). Seems to me that they are following a certain puzzle or maze. ha ha Maze runners. So, Jon  Montgomery already has a bobblehead! That's something new.


Siren is heard almost every day since summer time. Fire? No wildfire. Emergency? What could be? OMG! Now that the weather temperature is lower than previous hot burning temperature then would probably lower blood pressure for seniors. Yeah people, you have to calm down. Do not compete. You don't have to overdo anything. Learn to live as normal as you can be and let others take the stress and pressure. It's not worth working too hard for small wages and much more working too hard without pay or compensation. It may sound foolish but it is what it is. It must be equal pay for equal work.

So the wind is getting weirdo as of this time. Looks like there's an incoming storm at the island.  OMG! My 99 sunflowers need a string to hold them on the straight line.

It's Right To Give Thanks & Praise Everyday

 The reason why we have floral garden is to have fresh flowers everyday. For birthdays, anniversaries, in any kind of special occasion, beautiful flowers are much appreciated.

 We eat delicious food because I'm the cook at home. Whether there are birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate, Thanksgiving or Christmases there's no need for us to get out and dine in at restaurants. Our home is our restaurants.

 Spicy sauce tabasco for spaghetti? It's superbly great! Try it.

For our dessert we have fresh blueberries and raspberries and I used the berries to bake this cake.

Do we need special ice cream for this blueberry-raspberry cake? Maybe not. No frosting cake is
 already delicious.

The gift of life is celebrated everyday. It's just right to give thanks to God everyday, always and forever. HAPPY BIRTHDAY my children!

Don't Run With A Pair of Scissors

HIGHLY SENSITIVE COMPUTER. That's what's wrong with computers nowadays as if it has a mind of its own. There is that one button in my laptop that when your hand touch it without even pressing automatically deletes the whole post. That's the reason why the "touch tone" or using touch pad without the mouse is not great for banking. I think in the banking system everywhere around the world should not use the touch pad or touch tone system or else you might delete somebody's account or press wrong numbers. Or this is the worse thing that will happen or could in the Stock Exchange. (re movie: The Money Monster) That would be chaos and chaotic. That everything should have duplicate and  triplicate copies in paper not only in digitalized copy of documents.

So I was into thinking about the movies US and REPLICAS. What so mind boggling about these two weird movies? Psycho thrillers. Science fiction or real? Cloning is bad or worse kind of gene splicing.

According to a world renowned scientist: human beings are like atoms and if they are loosely disfranchised it will be atomic. That's why a human being has a body, mind and soul.

Now what it's got to do with computers? You are using a computer that belongs to you personally and suddenly the hackers are doing their manipulation. What do you think will happen?

Blame Game

How long can you give up working? I asked that to myself. Why I blog and keep on writing. You think writing and blogging is not work. WORK is the ability to use physical body and mind. The body muscles to do hard work or manual labor and mind to think. You cannot just work without using your mind and the human brain. Your brain has the CEREBRUM for thinking, learning, remembering, sense of perception, emotion and consciousness and voluntary movements. Your MEDULLA controls your breathing, digestion, swallowing and heartbeat. You have pulse, you are breathing, you can do anything with the power of your brain, your own mind. You cannot do work without a brain. Your mind dictates you to do something so first and foremost it's the brain ...it's the MIND that leads you to work.

When feeling the BURNOUT it's the mind or your brain that suffer all the consequences. Everything gets affected. So to do the work properly THE MIND is something you have to take good care above all else. Stephen Hawking the scientist who was in vegetative state but he was consciously alive and his brain (mind) allowed him to think and thus before he succumbed to death he was able to give the most important theory of everything.

Then you hear those assholes about on and on...that's what they are after on and on almost murmuring, talking on TV and radio with the same kind of topic for discussion and never get anything done. Blah, blah, blah talking nonsense and nobody listens to them. No younger generation listen to them anymore. I myself turned off the TV when these good for nothing talked about the same topic for half a century and never get things done. Oh, we can't blame them because they only READ what is on the teleprompter. They don't even know that they were repeating the same story for the past years as if they are robots on the screen of our TV. What if they were all just replays? And they were on vacation frolicking somewhere in tropical countries while we watched their reruns, replays and hoarded news. It is what it is. They could be in their hidden hideaways or bunker. The sunshines brightly today so that means I am located where the true sun shines and above is the sky and clouds hanging from the atmosphere and the ceiling above is over 50,000 ft. Yes dudette, scientists measure the height of the sky's ceiling just because weather balloons are sent above to measure the height, and check the weather temperature. So what the International Space Station is doing up there? Same old work. Ask the astronauts what interesting work they do for mankind risking their lives up there.  Just like us behind computer blogging community, their work is mind boggling and I hope they don't get burnout or God knows what could happen to earth's climate.

My husband is overworked. With salary so small that too is not a good thing. Overfatigue! Take it easy. He doesn't need to work on Saturday and Sundays and even on Holidays. He works everyday since work is invented and discovered. In Canada WORK is like an everyday usual ordinary, most common thing to do. Everyday. We are not robots but we are made and built like robots. That we can almost see the GOOFS and the lazy people who are so stupid waiting for you to make mistakes and they take over the world. Well, World War II had it already and the result was fatal. Einstein made it happened and what next is next to impossible.

 I work without pay for Google. Voluntary. How many thousands of us work for Google & Blogger without pay? Why we are doing this anyway? MINDblowing? WIRED by modern technology? Who we have to blame? Look at the President of U.S.A. almost addicted to Twitter,  tweeting and texting non-stop. Is he receiving gratuities or salary from Twitter? Good for him if Twitter company pays him for tweeting his words and whatever inside his mind. In olden day experiment, electrode wirings are then connected from the head to the hands and legs and the patient is being brainwashed and electrocuted to get information.  That is a matter of "stanley milgram experiment." Nowadays that kind of experiment is voluntary. I think some people love the passing of electricity to their brains and body. Strange and mystifying.

What Have You Done For Me Lately?

I was deleting some not so important photos in my file then suddenly my computer starts getting haywired. What the hell is happening? Good that I have another computer to use for my blogging. This is not something that happened the first time but this is the third time actually as if somebody out there is doing the "burning of photos." Remote as in remotely in another location." How could that be possible? The question of why and how? WHY? Do I know those people? I don't have a clue whatsoever. Hackers? Why?

Why always loving everything inside my files? Are you selling them? What so important about my photographs that hackers are so interested to get hold of them? I'm not a showbiz personality nor a movie star so why hackers like what's inside the picture files? Darn!

Last night, my daughter and I watched the psychological thriller movie US by Jordan Peele. I watched the trailer of this somewhat scary movie and in whole it was totally weird and very frightening. You can scream the hell out because it's gory, very creepy. You want me to tell you the whole story? I don't think you want me to divulge the whole story or it would be a spoiler. You should watch it for yourself. At the middle of the movie somehow I can sense that there was a switch and twist, yeah twisted sort of. Oh my! I'm right.

Movies that defy such psycho drama switcharoo also present in movies like THE ISLAND, Shutter Island, The Schindler's List, The Man In The Iron Mask,  including LOGAN's RUN as if movies or stories like these are very in demand or was it because it's a true life story? It happened before, long time ago, in similarities with the Charlie Manson's brutal slay case. The Filipino-Japanese old movies of people masking themselves in disguised just to blend in with the population but somehow pointing fingers at people they disliked for execution. Story of the burnout human beings hidden from civilization working their asses off underground while the rest of civilization were sitting pretty enjoying the good life. We are in that same generation when hardworking people are feeling the burnout and fallout and yet never receive the recognition, reward and awards because the awards go to the spoiled not through merit.

What have you done lately? Ask that to yourself. Are you a person of interest? Are you a valuable player and worker in your community? Are you a taxpayer? Election time is coming soon and you have to have a thorough investigation and introspection of those government officials and weigh in the pros and cons. Evaluate and analyze whom you want to vote and choose the best,  based on their qualifications. Merit vs Spoiled. What are the qualifications you wished that best qualify your next leader who will represent you and your needs. People voted their government officials because they thought these leaders will help them eventually in employment first and foremost or leaders of good standing that will economically had impacted the lives of families. So, a good leader must be family oriented. The core value of a leader must have the core value of a good family. Choose good over great. Great is being cheesy and being charming is not part of the job in politics and economics. If you are looking for charismatic, charm and all those sparkle and glitters then you must be looking for a place in showbiz. The Government always stand for ECONOMICS first then politics second.

Are You Passing The Torch Now?

It's me once again in the blogging world, rather blog universe. I should blogpost this in Forever TV but what the hell MY BLOG + MY UNIVERSE is my favorite blog nowadays.

Every morning the usual get go in my life is to visit my garden. Happiness starts with looking at how the growth of sunflowers (which are over 6 ft. now, whew!  wowowee!), the overcrowded dahlia plants and their flowers are in great blooms, colorful (red, red-orange, yellow, white, peach-pink, burgundy, fuschia colors). Splendid. The violet clematis still blooms radiantly beautiful and its tendrils non-stop crawling to the next strings provided for them. The pink clematis has slow down and has only 3 pink flowers. My husband hates the pink dahlias probably because it's the flowers with lots of bugs. Why pink is the source of bug infestation? So strange. You mean the bugs love pink colors in flowers? I should ask an expert botanist regarding such case.

I think there was a storm yesterday because it was windy and that heavy rainfall is too much to bear for some people who hates the rain such as Kathy Bates of Misery.

The usual everyday checking on my blogfriends' blogs on what they post on their blogs making sure we don't have the same story. While some bloggers tend to link each other with their story from one another as if its the continuation of lighting up or passing the torch.

So, I watched the continuation of BIG BROTHER (USA) with Jack as the Head of Household (HOH) and he had chosen Jessica and Keeme for eviction. Surprise! Tyler arrived at Big Brother to officiate the game. Tyler is the most popular and likeable star of Big Brother last year 2018. Then a game was held for the POV or Power of Veto and Sam won this time. He didn't use the POV, so that means he respects the decision of Jack and will respect the decision of those Houseguests who will evict either Jessica or Keeme.


Tonight is the continuation of ALONE television show of survival. America and Canada are the two leading countries in providing life skills of SURVIVAL. Reality shows seem the most in demand shows on TV because somehow millions to billions of people can relate to survival in today's time and age. Besides, the producers do not provide scripts anymore as the cast of characters provide their own script and their own actions meant their own intuitions. If you don't talk then you are out from the spotlight. Unless of course if you have that magnetic personality or the camera people tend to focus their lens on your face and what you are doing. LOL. Total drama island.

Heard of student loans for College students being "forgiven" rather students do not need to pay their loans? WHAT? I haven't heard anything about such case. I think the best thing that the Good Government should do is provide FREE TUITION FEES FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS. Just the tuition fees, however the students should buy their own textbooks. In Germany there is a University that admits students to enroll in their University provided that they can communicate in their local language. In Philippines, how many public funded University? And you wonder why too many University graduates in Philippines. What does it mean? Philippines is wealthier than Canada & USA?

The high cost of living in Canada is over the top. You have to be a millionaire to provide higher education for kids who would like to attain University education. You want your kids to have University diploma? Be prepared to be homeless and carless. You can have University diploma but your family wont have homes and no vehicles. Employment? In a country that allows millions of volunteers to work without pay? Think about that. Loopholes are dime a dozen now. Are the politicians working without pay? OMG!

Mostly About TV Shows

Time goes by so swiftly, so suddenly as if it's already autumn in summer. Wow! I'm loving a cooler breeze, fresh air and the wind today is totally amazing. I wish it's always like this everyday.

It's time for me to bake a cake this time and have to gather ingredients from our family garden. How about fresh zucchini, fresh blueberries and fresh raspberries? Three wonderful combination added with flour, sugar, butter, eggs, milk, vanilla extract. Yum, yum, yum! I love cake fresh out from the hot oven. Warm, moist sweet cake without frosting of any kind. I love it that way.

 I am who I am.

Yes, I am very strange indeed. There's no one like me. I could be out of this world, alienated but not an alien life form. Duh.

I could be a beautiful, white mysterious cocoon. Aaha-ha- ha-ha-ha! j/k

Last night, I was watching TV and all of a sudden there was a flashback of a story about JFK Jr. with a quote " I am not like my father." Why all of a sudden JFK Jr. is in the news once again? Ah, the mysterious tragic death, the airplane crash, the death of his wife and sister-in-law, his own death, and the many unsolved mysterious stories behind it. It's not over yet with the Kennedy's. Maybe popular people especially if they belong to the most powerful, influential and wealthy families...their lives can never be silenced. Kennedy families and clan are the pharaohs and mummies of  America. They are part of the History being unfold.

Then also by surprise that AMAZING RACE (Canada)  was broadcasted last night instead of tonight. Travel around the world from Toronto, Ontario to Kamloops, BC. Tasks to perform by contestants include: Zipline above the old mine and hit the target, recording for the movie: Lion King's voice, a visit to the Circle Creek Ranch and search for the proverbial lucky cow with secret number tag on its ear. The team (2 guys) chosen by Canadians to join the A.R.C. was eliminated in this first leg of the race. Weird! They were almost at the winning streak but they lost their map and arrived last at the pit stop. Next is travel to Revelstoke, BC. The contestants performed tasks: motorbike race, planting of young trees in the forest, assemble train set and railway let the locomotion runs perfectly, hike up to snowy mountain glacier to the pit stop where Jon Montgomery (Host of the Amazing Race, Olympic Champion) was waiting for them to arrive so that he can announce the winner of that leg of the race. What's really the purpose of this race? More of tourism exploration, a continuation of the race of "Around The World in 80 Days?" Could it be that it's a show that offer hands -on knowledge on what kind of work is available in those places where they arrive or the pit stop offers employment availability for the contestants? Could it be that it's really a contest that will earn the winners the prestige, honor, prizes and to see different cities, provinces, countries around the world are plus to what they are after to gain and grab opportunity when and where it happens.

In Canada, exploration is a much needed knowledge in education. A lot of field trips in elementary and high schools and in college... exploration, introspection in wider, open spaces and higher skills are part of the requirement. You already have life  skills but to further achieve at greater heights and lengths then experience and other multiple skills are of  vital importance. Highly competitive individuals tend to over qualify themselves simply because of stiff competition. Some humans tend to do more extreme skills when there is so much pressure. What more if you are to compete in the OLYMPIC GAMES? Double the stress and double pressure?

It Will Be A Vote On Climate Change Next time

Cooler days here we come? Wow! Wishing it's already Fall season. I love Autumn and Winter. The air is fresh and cooler than usual.

If I have to decide what the right weather temperature in Vancouver and nearby islands then it should be just 15 degrees Celsius only and if the temperature will rise up to 20 d.C. that's it. I could appreciate such "coolness." maybe I wont complain and nobody will complain about how hot the weather and the suffocating heatwave that also can cause high blood pressure for most seniors. There comes a time when people will vote on controlled climate and action plan and what is the applicable weather temperature that the whole population within one's country can be happy and contented with.

Of course there will be no more bugs around. Bugs are unhappy when the weather is cold. Cool heads. Peaceful and calm.

What will happen with the garden and vegetation? Hmm, choose plants and trees to be planted that can adapt cold temperature and if you like veggies then you need to have a covered garden with controlled temperature. That could be very expensive that it's cheaper to just buy vegetables from the supermarket.

By the way, at this point in time, watched news on TV about a 6.4 earthquake in California. Really?! It was a slight news maybe in the next hours the news network will provide more new footage.

Darn! Why everyone in the news always want games? Always aiming for games. What the hell is TV for? For games only? Obviously... too many gamers that's why. Uncertainties in many of these games that their attitude is always to provoke and wage war at anybody. Pag natalo sa games nagagalit yang mga yan at handang makipagyerahan. Hay naku luma na yang strategy na yan. Kawawa yung mga inosenteng tao pag may giyera!

Set & Sew

I was busy for quite sometime, sewing a party gown. Meticulously been eyeing on fine details because the material or fabric is very delicate and hard to sew and cut. Poly/viscose/spandex (stretchy) with multiple pin tucks. I don't know the right terminology for such textile. lol. All I know it's gorgeous including the fuschia color or for the visually impaired they might see the fabric's color as burgundy or very dark pink. It's not red. Let us just call it magenta color.

My husband like the color but he thought that I would have problem sewing that kind of material.  Well, it's true.

Two spools of thread to be exact in 2 meters of fabric. So far no sewing needle got broken.

Truth is, I should have just order a dress at Amazon but searching for the right fit or measurement made me dizzy. Most of the size for me are impossible to find. Sizes in Amazon dress/gowns fit most petite, small, medium, large sizes. My bustline is smaller than waistline and hipline. In Amazon's sizes: bustline is bigger than waistline and hipline. So now you know... for barbie dolls! For bigger boobs. Ooppssi.

I'm glad it is cooler today and hope it stays cooler the next days. I hate the hot weather temperature.

Space Competition

It's nice waking up everyday and attends to the garden, now that there are plenty of flowering plants in bloom such as: dahlias in burgundy, yellow, pink, lilac colors and the two clematis in violet and pink colors are still growing more buds and never run out of flowers. Flowers from veggies: cucumber and zucchinis are also a delight to see. There are plenty of loganberry flowers and ripe berries to pick. The raspberries are also ripe for picking. The lone  eggplant is suffocated by the growth of zucchini plants and cucumber. The bean plants (dragon tongue) keeps climbing up and its tendrils on the fence now. One lone potato plant suddenly appeared beside it and unknown plant that looks like having cantaloupe's leaves also prominent in competition with the rest of the tomato plants and cabbages. They are in competition when it comes to space at the veggie bed.

It's fun to have a garden no matter how small our garden. More fun when it's time to harvest some of the vegetables. Joyous end result that our hard work has paid off. It was an accomplishment in itself when it's harvest time.

The sunflowers are almost over the fence, over 5 ft. in height. Sad to say those black ants never go away and another visitors seem to like the sunflowers' leaves. At first one and then two bumble bees on top of the sunflower plants then additional bees swarm to join the two bees. OMG! WTH! Are sunflowers loveable and sweet even without flowers yet these "visitors" are nuisance already. Heh! Only ten bees! That's a swarm already. I know some scientists are happy to see something like this kind of  interaction especially because bees are pollinators. They are helpful in the pollination of flowering plants. These insects are helpful in the propagation of plants. Maybe they need this kind of interaction so that sunflowers can bloom its flowers right away instead of waiting a longer period of time.

Just watching those hairy insects and hairy plants are too painful for me to bear. Allergies! Yuck. My husband said that's probably caused by pollens. Yeah, pollens are contributors too for allergy. I told you before that there are cottonwood trees that had those fluffy cottons in the air before. Then another allergy-causing flowers are everywhere in the island. It's that time of the year when ash trees started blooming its flowers like manna. When the wind blows those ash tree flowers are all over, everywhere, up in the air, on the ground. We are surrounded by hundreds of ash trees with millions of flowers. I want to post some photographs of those ash trees but my blog is having a problem at this point in time. ( have to draft this composition for now).

So whenever I'm out of the house, at the yard have to wear sunglasses to protect my eyes. My eyes are twitchy for quite sometime due to pollen allergy. It feels like I'm suffering from tourette syndrome. It feels like because of the symptoms. Darn! I hope it's not caused by tick. Hmm, my hands are not trembling or shaking uncontrollably so it's not tick bites. Add those bugs around as if their long hibernation has ended and at summer time when the weather temperature is hot those bugs are happy to get out and have their annoying habit of buzzing and swarming at humans. I have to remember not to apply any kind of lotion or perfume on my body. The fragrance or lotion and any kind of scents can attract bugs, any kind of bugs. Speaking of good grooming, I take a bath twice a day, maybe the kind of soap and shampoo I'm using is an attraction and magnet to those garden bugs.

Now you wonder why too many kids have problem, having learning disabilities (Tourette syndrome, Autism, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia) because of the sometime chaotic environment. The island is surrounded by forest, by millions of trees, and millions and billions of plants of all kinds. When you are surrounded by millions upon millions of trees and different kinds of plants and vegetation then bugs of all kinds are there too because that's their natural habitat. We are not in the metropolitan-urban community. The island is an arable farmlands. That many children, even adults are sufferers or suffering from those disabilities I mentioned above. Now you know why so many kids do not go outside and most of the time stay inside their homes. There are certain time of the year when it's not good to get out of the house but because there are fun events during the First Of July which is Canada Day that is an "exception to the rule."
