Hot & Spicy Curry

 Oh, right on classes are suspended on most schools and universities in BC. GOOD! Better be safe than sorry. Slippery slopes, slippery downhill.

WINTER SEASON. Games and sports being played aside from hockey: Skiing, Super G, Slalom, Snowboarding, Skating, Speed-skating, Skeleton, Toboganning, Triathlon, Figure Skating.

Because it is really balmy cold that having hot and spicy chicken curry with hot steamed rice is a must.

You know I just saw groves of coconut trees and there 'ya go time to have meal with coconut milk or coconut cream. I need it truly! COCONUT's my favorite! lol

I checked on our freezer what could be the best extra ingredients for chicken curry then I saw this bag of frozen zipperback shrimps so told myself that's excellent for curry. When I opened the bag of shrimps...

I was surprised. Beyond surprise actually because the size of the shrimps? The size of  baby lobsters!! What happened? Wrong label of shrimps. They should at least label the package as prawns instead.

Great! Too great for my chicken,prawns, pork curry. YUMMY GOOD!

Ingredients: 4 tbsp coking oil, 1 tbsp of chopped garlic, 1 cup of chopped onions, 1 cup grated/shredded ginger, 1/2 whole chicken cut into 8 small pcs., 4 big prawns, slices of pork, curry powder, laurel or 2 bay leaves, salt & pepper, ground chili pepper, 1 can of coconut milk, diced potatoes, diced carrots, green peas.

 So it's snowing at the island and nothing that we can do about it because at this season of the year when November ends December 2022 has its beginning for the long winter months until next year of January to February 2023. Hey, the good thing about it > is >  it wont snow everyday. The snow will stick on the ground for couple of days or at least for a week depends on what could be happening on how hot the sun would be. Or depends whether it will rain or we'll have a storm.

For now, let us be happy and extra careful out there on walking on snow or driving must be very extra careful. You probably have snow tires on your cars and bigger trucks should have snow chains. Drive slowly on highways, be very vigilant and don't be careless. There's no race when it comes to being out there on slippery, icy  roads and highways, so slow down.

TENNIS

 TODAY is just another boring day. Nothing special. However, it is very special for Canada because after 109 years finally the world's most coveted DAVIS CUP had been granted to the most talented, skilled tennis athletes TEAM CANADA for this generation (2022 in Malaga, Spain) : Felix Auger Aliassime, Denis Shapovalov, Vasek Pospisil, under the Team captain Dancevic. It's a huge win for Canada actually.

Americans and Australian had won Davis Cup so many times. Australia won Davis Cup for 28th times. This is first for Canada! THE VERY FIRST. Canada won so many STANLEY CUP but DAVIS CUP is somewhat a symbol of hmm...what's its symbolized and for what? Ha ha! Jokers. lol. Dude, don't really know. I am not really a sports fanatic. It is only recently that I had laid eyes or lend my eyes on those tennis players and what kind of game they are playing. I watched it only out of curiosity.

One Hundred Nine Years. A century. More than a century.

1900's is the end of the Spanish-American war. It was the year-era of Sigmund Freud's  book of Dreams and Interpretations. 1900 is the era of Industrialization. Modern technology seemed modern such as the invention of telephones, telegrams, film production equipment (for silent films), locomotives, even if horse-drawn carriages were still in abundance, automobiles were already being manufactured, tested and tried,  but they are slow and not too sporty. Steamed boats were already luxurious for travel and  it was only in 1912 that the most luxurious, largest ship sailed mighty on its first maiden voyage however disaster struck and failed when the Titanic had that catastrophic tragic end. 

So tell me what DAVIS CUP's as a symbol of what? Betty Davis? Could be the cup of the covenant? Cup of Davis for best tennis team of the world. Every year DAVIS CUP Championship is played and whoever wins then they are the best of the BEST in the world in the world of tennis.

That TENNIS the sports is now officially one of Canada's best sports ever aside from hockey, baseball and football. Why not? It's a highly-intelligent game.

Sunday Rants

 What's life without THE WALKING DEAD television series on Sunday night? No Vampire Academy and No Interview With The Vampire. lol.

Whew! LIFE GOES ON actually, no matter what.

There are so many movies, free movies to watch. However, they were mostly re-runs and already been watched by me. 

I should be resting on Sundays. But you know me I enjoy being in front of my computer while the rest of the earthlings are contented holding on to their cellphones 24 hrs/day even when they are crossing the roads. What the hell is going on? It's like they have to hold on to their cellphones like they are the most important thing as if they will die if they missed any message. They sleep with their phones too, closer to their cell just right there on their pillows. Totally insane. I had seen so many of these cell addicts who never stop texting and sliding, touching their cellphones even on parties. They have to enjoy the party with their loved ones and friends and families but their eyes are almost glued to the cellphone screen. Maybe they are hooked on Tik Tok or on interactive games?

What's on Tiktok? You wont believe some of them are really amusing. There are sexy women gyrating or almost showing their "    " and their butts while shaking their booty. Yup, mostly chlorinated/bleached bodies. Maybe they live inside the swimming pools to bleach their skins. But you know I enjoyed watching those smart cats and dogs on Tiktok. They are entertainers. Kudos to their master trainers.

I only chat with people I really knew on Facebook. HS friends and HS classmates from long time ago. I don't waste my time chatting with strangers. 

My sister lives here in Canada and we seldom chat or see each other, maybe on few occasions. My nieces have their own family and they live far, far from away from us. Parents are in another country and so as my brothers. Blogging is the one that makes me happy at old age. Just like those retirees who keep themselves busy blogging whatever that keep their minds busy away from dementia and alzheimer's. Blogging is beneficial to expand your vocabulary and keep your memory sharp.

There are many hobbies that are worthy to mention, worthy and beneficial for busy minds but that depends on how thick is your wallet. At least blogging is somewhat economically appreciated and wont break the bank...supposedly it wont. Whoever breaks your bank should be axed and chainsawed by chucky. lol. j/k

So, no walking dead?.. hmmm... BORINGGGGGGGG!

Saturday Musings

 ARE YOU THRIFTY OR STINGY? Question I dare ask you especially at this time of the year when Christmas is fast approaching. 

I was thinking that gift-giving no longer apply, eh? OMG! I used to hear this from my husband, " don't buy me  any gifts. I don't need anything." Wow! Do I have to tell him too that it's , "ditto." Same with me??

Of course we have to buy gifts for my children no matter what even if they are young adults already. When I was their age, it was me already who presented gifts to my parents. Why not? I have a job and I was employed earning monthly salary, although not much I was a generous human being. I always give maybe not much, I GIVE because that's my personality and that's my kind of character. Never been I am so madamot. I was stingy to some humans who have everything like they don't need any gifts at all. Would you give to somebody whose got almost everything? Or give to somebody whom you don't really like? It's a total pain, right?

Canadians are generous people. My husband is very thoughtful and generous. He loves to give me gifts in jewelries, mostly gold and diamonds and few gemstones. He also give gifts to my parents. My in-laws have the same value of generous giving. Sometimes, for some valuable reason would rather ask him, cash is better as gift. I like shopping the things I like and things I would like to use and wear. Seldom do I like gifts given to me. I am very particular and choosy about things. However, my husband has good taste and his other gifts are of good quality from computers, digital cameras, jewelries, wristwatches, perfumeries or fragrances, and appliances. I don't like him buying me clothes or shoes. His taste for clothing is not my type of clothing. I would rather have fabric or textiles that I could sew and choose the style I like. My fashion sense is more like "Star Wars." LOL. I mean,  where could I wear those costume dress/gowns of Padme and Princess Leah? Yup only for photography or just for Halloween celebration on Hallow's Eve. Recently, my favorite costume for Hallow's Eve were that of Vampire's and Witches. Of course not a witch. Darn it, don't even have a flying broom and a huge boiling wok of potion.

Opsi, they won! CANADA WON! Congrats! Canada will play Australian Team in the Finals Championship.

Never I've seen this tennis tournament with so much loud noise because of the band and megaphones from Italian Team, the fanatics. Later on Canada had their own band drumming the same beat of appreciation for the match.

 

Priority & Principles

 HIGH INFLATION. Recession. High cost of living. Price of gas and oil went up and now... the price of electricity. BC HYDRO!!! BC Hydro the source of electricity in BC went up high this month. 

Tsk! tsk! Our energy consumption, the hydro we are paying for the past months and years are just fair, nothing to scream about. Few days ago when we received the bill for last month's bill we are shocked. Hmm, what's the cause of such bill? There is nothing that add up that could lead to such surge. What could be? I know that at Fall & Winter season the hydro bill will rise up because of the use for heating the house. Did we cook and baked too much? Not really. Of course we cooked our food but seldom we baked goodies. We usually buy baked goods: pies, cakes, bread from the supermarket. I only bake muffins or cupcakes once a month. I tried to do roasting pork, chicken and grill spare ribs twice or 3x per month, mostly the cooking is done on less than 2 hours per meals. Could it be because we shower and bathe almost everyday? Lukewarm water not even hot water.  I don't know what cause the sudden surge of energy. The internet and TV don't really consume much energy. We seldom use ceiling lamp or daylights, matter of fact should be turned off if not in use. All appliances unplugged if not in use. Hmm...what could be? 

I don't know if this is what HYDRO's revenge or what because nobody seems to be in the trend of using worldwide use of EV. Maybe if every driver in Canada will avail of choosing to drive EV then the price of electricity would be very affordable or economical. You know the law of supply and demand.

Maybe we'll just skip the dishes? No more cooking and baking? No more washing of plates, cups, drinking glasses and utensils. 

Maybe no need for laundry. Just change clothes when it's really time to change and throw them away like some sort of disposable clothing. No need to buy laundry soap, fabric softener, no need to use water and the "wear and throw clothes" the next best thing? Buy more clothes then.

OMG! Maybe enough using computers, appliances, radio (don't use radio and stereo), TV, and all those that you can plug to electric outlets. 

Did you know that there are families who take pride living in hotels instead. They just pay the daily room rate and no need to pay for electricity. Some hotels also offered free continental breakfast. Lunch and dinner maybe they choose to just order from fast food outlets. I wonder how much they saved from such budget.

Would it be nice to live in a house free of any obligation? I mean living in a house without the need to pay for mortgage, monthly rent or yearly tax? You only pay for your electric bills and water bills. I know such a humongous luxuries for those people. Like you saved $1,500/monthly rent for the house, total utility bills of $400 (hydro/gas heating/garbage disposal/yard maintenance) +car + insurance + health care + maintenance for car, gas,  etc. etc. With all the savings that you should be paying but you do not pay because you are living in a house for free "FREE"  what's  that $3,000 budget savings could lead you to be leading? Maybe that amount of money could at least take you to holiday resort of your choice. Maybe all your kids are College graduates and living better lives. WOW! But knowing most Canadians live modest lives as in very frugal. That having meals on the table everyday, abundance of food in the fridge and clothing in times for the 4 seasons (winter, spring, summer, autumn) is more important than going on vacation and come home empty handed and full of debts. Yup, its a matter of priority & principles. STOP being egoist. 

Hmm, what to cook for tonight? Roast pork with gravy? lol. The price of pork, chunky pork went down today. So we are having lechon tonight for dinner.

 Do you know what GOVERNMENT is known for? Who should govern and what the government workers and officials are supposed to do? 

You should know the history of your country first of course. How the government was formed to govern its people and what is the main objective or objectives.

Ancient Filipinos had their own alphabet known as Sanskrit. They were knowledgeable in different languages spoken by the next neighboring countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, East India, Polynesia, China. They had to because they trade goods and services with each other and because of inter-racial marriages that expanded the treaty and dominion within Asia. When the navigator Ferdinand Magellan  discovered Mactan in 1521 which is an island part of the Visayan region in the Philippines, first Christianity was then officially came into power and thus the colonization process began in such a a matter of long, tedious non-stop overtaking of all the major islands and named the archipelago into La Isla Filipinas in tribute to the King of Spain. English the universal language is still being commonly used everywhere around the world, mostly by educators, politicians, economists, medical practitioners, lawyers,  educated people and people who are still with great power and influence and dominion all over the world.

At present time... no one is above the law. GOD IS THE LAW and you an ordinary human being, mortal human being... there is no forever. 

Be happy, be thankful and grateful being alive to survive, to tell your true story be happy and contented with yourself, be honest. Stop being a liar. Being honest is also a legacy. Be humble enough to owe up to your mistakes. Live the life you wish of fairness and STRIVE TO BE HAPPY and follow the golden rule. Remember DESIDERATA.

 What's new? Nothing's new actually on planet earth. it is the same old story being repeated and revised for the sake of those who study History and to make new inventions for the sake of something new, whether they are good, helpful and would benefit mankind then that's good.

The on-going soccer game in Qatar which is participated by different teams around the world is great for those soccer players or families whose sons are athletes or soccer players. I am not a soccer fan. My husband watches it from the convenience of our TV in the living room. Soccer game is one of the most noisiest, loudest game being played as the field stadium comprised of the two teams playing and the thousands of viewers maybe more than 20,000 or depends on its capacity that's why it is very loud. However, the game is tedious, long and to score a point takes longer period of time. They could play for an hour or two hours without any point on both sides and that's boring! Unlike in HOCKEY, baseball, basketball and football, tennis > the score (ing) is faster, higher and stronger. You know what I mean? I should not be so negative on this, let it be... It is not my business, sorry. Go play your own game.

Today is Tuesday, November 22, 2022. 

I was supposed to have this topic or subject of discussion on Veterans Day. However, would it be better today?

I watched the Remembrance Day celebration in Ottawa from the convenience of our TV. After the ceremony, after the tribute and speeches of the participants, after the parade, everyone offered their solemn prayers and red poppies to the UNKNOWN SOLDIER.  The lonesome unknown whoever he is, where he came from, what is his story? Nobody knows. He is the anonymous, the unknown but he is a HERO. 

I wonder how many UNKNOWN HEROES out there?

Life Is Short. Art Is Longer: MAYBE

 COLD at 3 degrees Celsius. It will be colder in the next days to come and maybe the snow drop or snow return to blanket the ground. Usually is during the winter months. At least it is no longer foggy. The ISS can choose to where the solar panels of light is focus on planet earth. It is said to believe that the North Pole is always daytime no night time because of the reflection of snow, the North Pole is always experiencing daylight and blinding bright.

I looked at the window upstairs facing the big old oak tree and someone already had cut the broken limbs or broken branches hanging from the parking area of that apartment closer to where we live. Good, I don't have to worry of any accident from happening in that place.

Know what? It was a marathon of Tom Cruise movies yesterday and today. Movies such as: Oblivion, War Of The Worlds, Jack Reacher, Minority report, etc. Did you ever noticed that Tom Cruise had so many movies and yet he hasn't receive any awards yet from Golden Globes, the Academy (OSCAR's) and other award giving body for best acting. I think action stars are not being dramatic enough or because ? Hmm, nvm. It's not for me to be suspicious of such award giving body that favors who they want to win because ...

Not with the GODFATHER's franchise. Violent movie and sequels garnered so much awards. What's the secret? Godfather dudes! Find your own fairy godfather or fairy godmother. lol.

Or maybe... some people would rather ask money for rewards not statues for awards.

Hey, you can ask that to those schools and universities whether the awardees (scholars and geniuses) would rather be awarded with $$$$$$ instead of certificates of highest honors. I think few of them would rather ask money in rewards in exchange especially if those geniuses are in poverty stricken situation, like they want to buy TWITTER or FACEBOOK for hefty sum of $55 BILLIONS. LOL. Or somebody would like to buy a STEALTH FIGHTER JET PLANES.  Somebody could receive the awards, somebody else take the money awards. Fair enough. 

The Royal Families do not take awards. They are "award giving body." There are powerful and influential families whose sons and daughters are geniuses but they don't take awards, never been given awards because they give awards such as the NOBEL PEACE PRIZE. Sure thing indeed after they profited from all those explosive dynamites ( (heh! infrastructures required explosions hopefully without casualty)). Yep! 18th Century story.  Some billionaires out there should follow the rule of giving but probably their definition of "giving" is meant for loopholes.

Do I really have to explain this situation? I don't have to. This is for the sake of humility. Ha ha!

Anyway, life is short and art is longer. ARTE!

Actually Not A Laughing Matter

 Last night was thinking of what to blog today and thinking about the fog which still covered the atmosphere until dawn. Then at about 6 AM today, this morning something miraculous happened. Wow! Sunrise!! The fog's gone. It's no longer sleepy hallow. I first thought Tom Welling had a second chance of FOG the movie or something like Smallville. Thank goodness.

NEWS ON TV:

Tons of snow had fallen in New York and other parts of the US.Sure as if that's something new? Did you know that it's already Winter? 

The new Premier of BC David Eby was interviewed by tv news host showing his modest home with two kids and his doctor wife. Looks like it was a representation of very frugal way of life. You guys should imitate their life as in "frugal modest way."

BC Premier David Eby was sworn in today as the 37th Premier of British Columbia, after former Premier John Horgan decided not to run for office. 

Federal benefit for kids 12 and under receive free dental care! Wow! Why not they also include the seniors, 50 + and above humans need free dental care too. Or at least ask dentists to lower their fees, make it affordable for low income families to have cheaper or less expensive dental care rather than having to seek dental care in third world countries. 

The current Prime Minister of Canada JUSTIN TRUDEAU attended the G20 Meeting/Conference and trade deals in Bali, Indonesia & in Thailand. President of China Xi was overheard confronting the Prime Minister and it was about "      " (Truth is do we have to care about the secrecy of what they are talking about when they have interpreters and the Media people are everywhere to cover the assembly of politicians/leaders in those venues?). Then those leaders were also asked about the missile attack that struck Poland and they don't know who did it whether Ukraine or Russia. Dudes, just check the brand of missiles or empty shells, usually brand name or maker of such missiles represent who and where and what missiles had hit the target. That's the real problem. So, just this is what clears the conflict as in wrong or error in trajectory that the ones who fired those missiles had problem with math, geometry, geography, physics and astronomy. They call such mistake as "friendly fire." That's total BS, right?

When asked how and why the atomic bomb hit certain specific area in the Pacific Ocean? You know the answer? JET STREAM.

Elon Musk in the news again. Hordes of Twitter employees moving out of that company not wanting to work for Elon. Hmm, with 44 BILLION DOLLARS the founders of Twitter can always build their own internet website platform. The more social media platforms in the internet the more competitive and the competition arises like to the extremes. Laid0ff people can find new workplaces to work without the need to feel threatened and bossed around.

By the way, Canadian ATP tennis player Felix Auger Aliassime had been defeated by Fritz yesterday's match and now the match between Medvedev vs Djokovic's playing for the semi-finals in NITTO Turin, Italy. Who wins today will play the finals of course.

Ballistic missiles fired by North Korea and what else is new? Did it enlightens your day today? The sun rises at daytime eh?

The missiles fired by Ukraine in Poland? Trajectory error. Or missiles fired by Russia landed in Poland and had two humans as casualties including a tractor that tumbled down the farm? And where is Superman? I hope he was able to lift the tractor. Weird news.

For those who are still having problems with pigeons flying around their homes and using their rooftops as "hangar" you'd better have a scarecrow on rooftops or have bigger birds (artificial ones) such as owls and eagles on top of your roof.

Thursday Rants

 Third day of the foggy atmosphere at the island. Uhm, weird as it is never happened before as the fog only last sometimes for few hours but for 3 days? It's okay, have to remember it is almost winter and the mountains and hills mostly covered with snow. It is the effect of hot and cold temperature trying to fight whatever the atmospheric effect in is environment. Sometimes fog is caused by too much clouds in the sky and the sun seems never shines. In other countries with giant  wind turbines fog could be eliminated right away. Fog also appears in mountainous area or regions of the earth and sometimes when the area is closer to the coal mining sites. This situation makes people depressed and feeling the SAD = Seasonal Affective Disorder.That also adds paranoia. lol.  With the influenza becoming redundant as the health care worrying the surge about this is uncalled for? Dudes and dudettes, as if you don't have the power of control and persuasion. Common flu is common during this time of the year, as if you don't know. Where have you been? The reason for the pandemic is about PANIC. The panic and rumor mongering of flu as if it is a zombie apocalypse is what really happened. Panicky!!!!!!Mukha na kayong paniki.  Panic buying and looting. PANIC is the term that leads to all those breakouts and hoarding, lying, stampede and backstabbing.

Whatever it is... we have our electricity. Powers that be we can use of electricity for almost everything: cooking, baking, watching TV, using computer, housecleaning using vacuum machines, appliances (washer/dryer/dishwasher, fridge + +stove+ oven + microwave + coffeemaker) work and function because of electricity. Hmm... maybe we need an EV too. Ha ha! Our vehicle still is powered by gas. At least it takes only few minutes to fill up gasoline (full tank) to the vehicle unlike you have to charge EV for an hour on electric charger station.

I remember way back (1995) then when my firstborn had his electric/battery operated 4x4 toy truck at age 2 and we have to charge it at night, the whole night so that my baby can use it for a day's run. My son and his siblings always had the joy ride at the empty parking area, closely guarded by us his parents. Sometimes his Dad will take him to his office and that toy truck/jeep so that he can drive around the huge office they had with huge warehouse.  How it actually runs? It's the feeling of being inside the golf cart and you are driving it. I think have that photograph of such vehicle in my children's photo album.

Today is Thursday and everyday feels almost the same that adding more memories from the past make storytelling much better to bear, not so boring. Yup, feels like a movie...you breathe to know if you are alive!

Tonight is the continuation of the LAZARUS PROJECT tv series on Showcase, when and where everything is the same tragic situation all over again. If you can control or have the power to control what you don't like from the past or the future what will be your agenda?

 

Heavenly Power

 Today is Wednesday and once again, foggy atmosphere since this morning or probably since last night. Hey it was foggy yesterday...the whole day actually. The sun is covered with very thick clouds or maybe the earth doesn't rotate on its axis normally as it is before. Too heavy! Maybe if Artemis rocket will reach the moon then the artificial satellite ignites and there'll be light upon on this part of the planet. 

We are living in "the future" where solar panels are much needed. Artificial satellites that provide lights similar to the sun. ?

What the hell am talking about? I don't really know. Ha ha ha!

When the sun's light fades away then it becomes a star. The planet is getting farther and farther away from the system. Hmm, doesn't makes sense.

You wished the planet is flat like a square not a circle. It could be an oblong or oval shaped. Whatever.Who are we to judge what the shape and color of every planet? Who are we to decide the age, size, shape and who stays on planet Earth?

We, humans are transient. We live to propagate, multiple according to the Holy Bible, as the oldest document that we humans have to follow then for whatever reason that there are humans who are wisest, most intelligent and strongest than most and powerful and influential that also leads to following the rule of law by these people with so called "power."

No power and influence, nothing that you can do.

I'm grateful that my computer functions despite of its age and my blogging continues.

Existence

 What's the Tuesday's rants? Oh my, you know what? It's foggy this morning until this very moment at 9:39 AM. Fog spreads like a sleepy hallow atmosphere at the island. Usually is when the sun is blocked by thick clouds or something else maybe the ISS is getting bigger eh? lol.

There was a trending news about Canadian PM extending support to developing countries. Wow! 830 MILLION DOLLARS! My God! really? I first thought there are many problems in this country especially when it comes to Health Care and the Health Ministers are in dire need of help with the Health Care fund/budget.  I don't know which one to believe, what news, what channels. Maybe this is sort of fake news eh? Look, with all the billions of dollars used in the purchase of those vaccines and most of them were given to third world countries...do you think there are actually donations or debts incurred by other nations? Billions of dollars!! Given only for donation. So why Canada needs to be fixed? Totally insane. maybe that's cry for help from PM that in order for his promises not materialized you must voted him off. Eh?

It was year 1999, when I read this science magazine about the world will be full of crazy people as in people with mental disorders. Year 1999 started its millennium drama of the Y2K popularized by Microsoft that "the world will go back to the past." Hmm, is that Y2K means? It's a zipper! 

What it brought us has something to do with corporate management that will use computers as the valuable workers in the workforce and laying off people from back-breaking work of  100 employees will be taken over by one or two corporate computer wizards doing the work. The rest of the workers will just standby and do nothing but work without pay. ? Crazy right? That's the start. Depression happened when too many millions of people are out of work. War happened. Televised war, documented war in Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan. Turned out to be "hoard news of the Desert Storm." Pulp mills, saw mills closed down. Laid off workers, economic downturns. Rich people, wealthy people going broke, filing bankruptcy. It was the rise of those humans who are into Microsoft, Apple, Yahoo, Google and Facebook leading the world. They became filthy rich.  they are richer than the Presidents, Prime Ministers. Here's the fact with Apple's Steve Jobs. Hmm..nvm. You probably knew what happened to him eh? With the humans living the dream of conglomerate richness of using the most modern technology had its worst enemy. You should equip your body and mind with extra human vital organs. Be prepared to have a laboratory with excess vital organs for transplant (head to toes, heart, lungs, liver, kidney etc.). That's it. Oh, include blood. Blood is very important.

You may have all the wealth in this world but make sure you should also have that laboratory for spare parts for human body & mind  to exist.

To exist is divine.

 

Monday's Rant

 My sewing project continues and had just finished two purple colored lace fabric turning into party tops (blouse) for me and my daughter's. Yeah, with all the bundles of fabric I don't mind getting busy for the rest of the week. While I was sewing those trendy clothes my eyes and ears are also focused on TV screen watching old movies, such as THE GODFATHER and few of its sequels. The Corleone family and clan and how Italian mafia came into existence. Then the TWD or THE WALKING DEAD had its second to the last episodes. You want to know the story? Do you want me to spoil last night's story/episode? 

TWD: The whole original cast of TWD gathered at the compound of the Commonwealth under Pamela's rule and law, to seek shelter however, group of zombies already got in to the compound and some of them can climb the walls, posts and gates. This group of zombies are different from other zombies. Daryl carried Judith to safety after she was shot unconsciously, actually their group was confused where to hide and seek shelter because everywhere they turned to the zombies are everywhere. Cassidy (Alpha's daughter and her team of survivors were able to climb up the running locomotive and was extending her hand to Elijah to safety however, one zombie had smacked her hand, bit her hand and it takes few minutes to cut her hand in order for the zombie rabies not to spread. The Commonwealth people were trapped by thousands of zombies and Pamela's order of strategy is somewhat not tactical and not even practical. TO BE CONTINUED next Sunday.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE. Louis and his vampire niece spread darkness by causing massive death as manslaughter, murdering so many innocent beings including  their own benefactor Lestat - the original vampire/dracula. So much bloody encounters.

Monday today and the Earth rotates on its axis and  revolves around the sun. Yeah,nothing has changed. ? We are still human beings, not aliens. The viruses and bacteria are still the same creepy micro-organisms. However, it is your metabolism and how you abused your mind and body that lead to your ailments. How that happened? The bacteria and viruses never really changed. They have the same structure since they created their own existence. Their strength is based on how weak is your immune system. 

COVID is no longer a strange, scary pandemic. What is scary now are the scammers and fraudsters. So caution. Be very aware. BE SAFE. STAY SAFE.

Sunday

 I hardly able to wake up early this morning because of backache. I tried to do my sewing project yesterday afternoon and finished sewing at least 1 lacey blouse, 1 square pants (pair of cullottes), 1 scarf, and was about to start a pair of pjs but told myself there's another day. Today is another day and I have some other house-works to do.

This morning my hubby was in search for that NITTO ATP Finals (Torino, Italy) It's not on TSN or any Channel on TV. Hmm, wonder why. Sports Channels are busy on Formula 1 Race in  Brazil + Football Games. Mostly football games on tv channels.

The NITTO ATP Finals are for the Top 8 Tennis Players Only. Those who are in the Ranks of Top 9 to 20 are not even included in the tournament. So that also limit the people (audience/fans who are to watch the event). The Top 8 players were all been defeated by Rolex Masters Tennis Champ HOLGER RUNE from Denmark. Holger Rune who is a look-alike of Ivar the Boneless of famous/popular tv series THE VIKING's. Kamukha lang.

 

Last night, happened to watch the old movie DARK KNIGHT (9pm -12 mn). This is my first time to see this movie of Heath Ledger (R.I.P.) He doesn't really looked like Heath because of the amount of make-up on his face portraying the part/role of the Joker. How a younger handsome faced guy would accept that kind of role for a movie? Very challenging and did he receive an award for that? Anyway, Christian Bale's the batman in this movie. His first movie that I could remember was "Empire of the Sun" where he portrayed of an "orphan" actually incidentally left behind by his politician's parents during the war. As a young boy he was very talented young actor and perfectly delivered the part. The movie was very long that I told myself better to watch the next 30 minutes later from recording.

You know that in movies, men also are full of make -up. I noticed that Vin Zhang (Zhang Bin Bin - China's action star for the movies/tvseries: Chronicle of Life, Love is Fate and Never let You Go) also wears make-up and lipstick. So it's not a gay thing anymore. Even macho and masculine actors have to wear make-up for the sake of art.

Today is Sunday and what could be the best television shows and series to watch? 

First of course not to forget the last two episodes for the grand finale of THE WALKING DEAD. Only 2 episodes left. THE RESORT? Is the last episode for the season over last Sunday? We'll find that out later. Next VAMPIRE ACADEMY. 

I'd like to watch that HOUSE OF DRAGON but we don't have Netflix. lol

Maybe have to proceed and continue my sewing project once again.

 So many millions of people are worried and concern about the on-going election in the U.S. Who wont be? Americans are not the only people worrying about it, Canadians and many people connected with the people in America. Everyone would like to change the current political and soci-economic situation after the pandemic of COVID-19 and to tell you frankly there is no pandemic that is over 2 years. It is actually a war shroud in mystery. Just like the great Holocaust that led to World War II.

The result of the American election determines everyone's future. Your future in America, Canada, Europe and Asia. I hope you voted with a natural leader who knew knowledge about the past, present and what the future holds for them. That leader should be a great visionary, devoted, with enough vast wealth to help mankind. Someone who can rule the country towards peace and progress, with mental acuity, intelligence, compassion and kindness. A leader with true integrity, knows about economics more than politics. 

Health is wealth. You are wealthy if you are healthy. If you are not in good health as a leader you only keep others in a very depressed mode. It could weaken everyone to depression. It could lead to downfall of the whole core. Let us be honest with ourselves and let them count for integrity and honesty when it comes to political office. Anybody exploiting the rule of law for their self-vested interest should not run for office or just quit. You owed an apology to all those whom you fooled, lied about your health and in all fairness to the voters who will choose a leader there must be true check and balance. There must be age limit, health check requirement (must be mentally and physically fit) to whoever should work in Congress, House of Representatives or any seat of power otherwise the rule of law once again is corrupted. There is no such thing as somebody working for office aged 80 + and above unless of course if they owned the White House or the Congress. ??  It's the people, for the people, by the people who owned the GOVERNMENT. No one is above the law. We have to respect the elders but if the elders are showing signs of alzheimer's and dementia...  ?

The Fallen

 Avoiding the light from the computer doesn't mean somebody should kick electricity off. Hmm, tricksters! Well truth be told, parts of BC had suffered windstorm and first snowfall. The lights on but flickered in our place not a blackout or brown out situation. Would you believe the "flicker situation" had our TV off and computer offline for about 10-15 minutes. At least, not one hour. Maybe that's an over all "switching time and space."

S-W-I-T-C-H

So it was at 7 AM when the snowfall begins. We had about 2-3 inches of snow on the ground on the yard. I noticed that the huge old oak tree in the neighborhood had its two branches broken and the two branches hanging down from its trunk down at the parking lot.  It should be cut down or else it might cause accident. That's what happens when oak tree leaves from the branches are still attached or haven't fallen yet. Then the heavy snow could have impacted the weight and had broken the branches. Whatever. The owner of the building should know better or tenants over that building should report it to their landlord.

My sister and my brother-in-law came to visit. She just had a laser lasik surgery on her eyes because of cataract. She's only 65 years old and recently retired from work. She's always having surgery after surgery. I couldn't believe it. She said that she's not alone. Some of her co-workers had cataract too. Hmm, so it's true what I read in Medical Encyclopedia about those workers working in retail outlets using "machines." Its the blue light that can cause such eye condition: cataract, glaucoma, blindness.

My sister had two leg injury on her knees. She had two surgeries. Her two knees are made of steel now. I told you she is not alone. So many workers had those problems with legs, knees and ankles getting hurt. How many times you get injured or had fallen on slippery snowy, wet grounds? My niece also had a fall on snowy ground. I had fallen twice already on snowy ground while shoveling snow, thank God the snow was so thick and soft that I was not really hurt. I had fallen on concrete ground, I got hurt but was able to stand up. I had fallen from the stairs while moving stuff to another house. My back, butt was bleeding. OMG! I cured myself. I know how to cure myself. Besides, I can stand up despite of the hurt and pain. Yeah weird me. If I go to the hospital probably they will have me in operating table. NO WAY. I was hit by a car and had my foot numb for several days. The car's tire had run my foot back and forth and I was able to stand up but not for long and then down crying because I cannot feel anything. Oh, thinking about it was the weirdest of all. How I can stand up after those fall? 

"Tanga!" Somebody told me. When you are at work, you have to make sure that when you had a fall, you should be at the emergency room in the hospital to have record of your injury. But because I don't feel that I was hurt when I had a fall even if its bleeding. But the sight of blood really can make me nervous. Ewan. I'm still alive so maybe I have guardian angels. lol. 🙏😇

So caution, be careful out there. Make sure you have snow tires, or chains for your vehicles. It is slippery roads and highways that you have drive with caution. Drive safely and for pedestrians to be very extra careful in crossing the streets and sidewalks.

Watched the two series: THE WALKING DEAD and THE RESORT. I don't know if the episode last night for The Resort is the finale but it was the most exciting, dramatic and most mysterious event for the cast and characters of that television series. Hmm, is there something like that? Only the author or writer of that story knows. 

THE RESORT series on Showcase seems familiar? Almost same story of my novella "Spirit Of Verona." Baka ginaya ang story ko ah. Gaya-gaya, puto maya. Hmm... maybe we should have an extension of MIDWICH CUCKOOS instead, ha ha ha ha! OMG!

 

Approach - Avoidance Conflict

 I couldn't believe that THE WAR OF THE WORLDS will end just like that...the great sufferings and the great sacrifices. Maybe if the planet earth was invaded by aliens and the earth has been divided into two like two cells when the black holes and mysterious ring of fire that brought massive devastation what else can you do? The wormholes opened up "2 versions of planet earth" wherein you have a duplicate copy of yourself. In another planet you are dead and in the other planet you are alive. Two dimensional space and time differential unknown phenomenon that can only happened in science fiction such as "the war of the worlds." Is Episode (8)  Eight the last episode then? 

 

Maybe there is that extraordinary, special kind of  time and space wherein you can choose to live and die or reborn. Hmm... there is that special term to recognize such catastrophic event. I forgot what that word is, better re-read the Holy Bible again.

FIRE COUNTRY. Max Thieriot becomes a hero once again in his role as Bode the firefighter in Fire Country tv series episode : Get Some. Be Safe.There are too many Friday movies and one of them is HANNIBAL. Old movie of Julianne Moore & Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal. Darn it. Would you like your brain in a frying pan and eat it too? Hannibal is a human-animal without conscience and remorse, so demonic and yet he was kindhearted to Clarize (FBI Agent). Hannibal could be the biological father of Clarize in that long, long novel of Silence of the Lambs: Hannibal.

This morning, the Canadian professional tennis player Felix Auger Aliassime was defeated by a younger tennis player from Denmark, Holger Rune > will play in the finals on ROLEX ATP PARIS MASTERS 2022 with ? whoever wins between Djokovic from Serbia vs Tsitsipas from Greece. Good luck!

Next, tomorrow is the DST Daylight savings Time ENDS. One hour back return to its original time. Eh? Is that really the original time after too many DST Ends and too many years of DST begins?

Maybe the International Space Station will perform new magic trick using some kind of "light" in the sky so that at 7 AM it's brighter rather than feels like midnight. SCIENCE is the subject that offers you a different kind of enlightenment and that's why most scientists are atheists. 

 

Life's too short to be thinking too much and suffer of the consequences when your fuse gets  haywire. Cool down Mother Earth.

Yeah, have to cool down and I would like to try by avoiding being in the light or avoiding the light from the computer screen.

7 Meal Day Plan (Menu)

 We've been cooking a lot. My family loves to eat. Sometimes, I'm the cook everyday at home but once in a blue moon husband cooks too. I must say, he is one of the best cooks ever. He should be the Masterchef. lol.

Deep fried prawns + french fries + sriracha sauce with mayo. Deep frying shrimps, prawns, halibut is actually way too easy for me.

Pork & veggies chop suey. It was hot! The steam blurs the picture. And you think I don't know photography eh?

Pork chops with choice of green beans, bell peppers and mushrooms (saute')

Mackerel with coconut cream and eggplants + Rice, baked potatoes, macaroni and green peas

Pizza with pepperoni, sausage and spices, tomato sauce and cheese

Dessert: Fresh cantaloupe, so sweet!

Pork chop, steamed broccoli, potato, chicken stuffing, rice

Pork sauteed with green beans and lots of onions + beef meatloaf + sliced pork + chicken noodle soup

Roast chicken with gravy, stuffing + broccoli + steamed potatoes

Baked carrot/blueberry/cheese cake with ground cinnamon

Yummy, yummy good! It's great with whipped cream.

Roast beef with gravy + green peas, potatoes and yorkshire pudding and banana for dessert

In preparation for Farkay (with lucky dragon symbol) pork/shrimp/veggies chow mein. Pancit.

There's nothing better than eat the foods that you cooked or baked. Even much more better is when the whole family enjoys the cuisines prepared for their satisfaction.

That's probably good enough for one month eh? Or maybe 2 months!!

The TIM HORTON'S Coffee brand is much, much cheaper in Costco, according to our neighbor Dwayne. So, my husband Lorne asked him to purchase 3 boxes of Tim Horton's (240 Keurig cups) when he was in Comox.

Too much coffee for the long duration of cold winter months in Canada.

Honesty Is The Best Policy

 Yesterday as I was browsing the internet, happened to watch a video made by a Filipino, new immigrant from Philippines to Canada. I watched it from the very beginning to the end, while he walked down the street of Vancouver. In that video while he walked, the houses in the subdivision were visible. Huge houses, large yard with fences. There are few cars driving by, few people walking behind him. He was kind of worried living in mainland Vancouver because of its problems that became visible during the pandemic. He is Asian, a Filipino so you know that "being Asians" during the pandemic are somewhat to be blamed for the pandemic that originally had its roots from China. Part of it was some Asian people can be mistaken for "Chinese. " You know what I mean? Then the high cost of living: the rental houses, condominiums, apartments... the cheapest rent for one bedroom is $1,800/month + depends on its vicinity to downtown area. The high price of oil and gasoline + basic commodities. The worst traffic on roads and highways. He was kind of thinking whether he would move to Toronto or Alberta which he thought is not that costlier to live. ? Are you sure?

I think the dude is new immigrant from Philippines. Somebody should tell him the truth that everywhere you go in Canada, there's nothing so cheap anymore. That you have to throw caution to any Filipino families that if they want to live in Canada, they should be able to work so hard, have two jobs (day job and night work shift) to augment all the bills. If you are living in luxury in Philippines, stay in Philippines. 

The rental home in Vancouver island for 3 bedrooms had gone up so high with price ranged $2,500-$3,000/month. I kid you not! Yup, so shocking. Utilities are not included in the monthly rent. You must at least have an occupation that will give you an income of $10,000/month to pay for the house rent, utility bills, and the food, gas and oil for vehicles + insurance for vehicles. If you want to buy a decent house with yard/storage/workshop you must at least have $1 MILLION DOLLARS. If you have one million dollars would you live in Canada? 

Do not come to Canada as immigrant without documents that you have a job waiting for you or you have already a place to live because the BORDER SECURITY, they are doing their job like a hawk. There is no such thing as coming to Canada to find employment. You are coming to Canada because you already have an employer with contract and you are set to work right away and you have secured a place to live and settle down. You'll be asked of how much money you have. How you can support yourself in Canada. It is not easy to find vacancy when it comes to housing. Homelessness is a huge problem in Canada. You probably have money to find houses where you can rent and buy but maybe your money is only good for few months besides not too many available houses and apartments for rent.  Do not be fooled by some people that it is easy to find work in Canada. Not true!

I know, heard of the Job Fair about new immigrants who can find job from the fair. It is not that easy. BORDER SECURITY are tough when it comes to Immigration.  

But you know, listening from the late US Pres. JFK.: They went to the moon because it is not easy but because it was hard.

So, if you want to go to the "moon" for moonlighting? It will be quite challenging.

 

Too Much?

 Are you "that too much?" What is too much for you? What makes you a burden to other people? That simple question when, how, why and what for? 

When you are causing trouble after trouble? Or you are a liability. Eh? Really?

There are several troubles made up ONLY for the purpose of a great experiment. This is somewhat tested and tried on some people, chosen people without them knowing of its purpose & objectives. I don't need to divulge that to you. Not my problem though.

Are you a burden to your family if you are not working, or you live with your family no job to sustain your life, your daily day to day needs? Babies, teens and kids who are below 18 years are not a burden to certain families. Once you are over 18 and without disability then you should find a job and work to gain experience and be ambitious, necessarily not to be very ambitious but somehow find ways to be of help to yourself and the people around you. Can't find job? Try volunteering at first. There are too many works available out there however how many of you in the line up for interview and how many of you will pass? 

I remember way back when I was younger and have to apply for work and the long line up for applicants could mean  7 days of being out there waiting for the number for the test. Yes, the applicants must pass the test first (IQ test, Personality test, Math, English comprehension, Essay) then the actual test for the job such as Typing (requires speed) and knowledge in computer programming and skills in using the "machines." Then lastly, it's about references and interview. Whom you know. Who you are affiliated with. What if the people in your references are in good terms with he company you are to work with then that's GOOD. However, if you are affiliated with those people or political party that they dislike then the test is of no good for them whether you pass with flying colors. Also you must be a graduate of certain prestigious university and the examiner always prefer the applicants from university where they graduated. That's total B.S. right? That's how it works in most multi-national companies in Philippines.

In Canada, you can work as early as 16 years old. Sometimes, volunteering for the job is the first start and the schools get to choose where you have to start the volunteer work. In the US, recruiting High School Students, sometimes they were asked to join the military and that's how so many Americans found their first job and be a productive member of society. JOIN THE NAVY. JOIN THE MARINES. Usually is the best offer you can receive from United States of America. 

I don't think there is something like that here in Canada. My kids could have been in that company of the Braves. 

Nothing is too much if there is so called scarcity. Scarcity of sources and resources. Scarcity of human resources and scarcity when it comes to skills.
