God bless us that we don't feel that balmy cold of freezing or frozen because of negative temperature. Blessed are thou that we are located closer to the Pacific ocean. The warmth of the Pacific ocean is favorable for us during the four seasons. Winter snow doesn't last longer nor it stays for the long duration of one week. Mount Washington from the peak to the slopes remain cold and has lots of snow during the winter season and the choice for winter sports adventure by the Olympians and sports athletes who love to ski, snowboard and do their training to keep them in shape and more skills to polish for their extreme sports.
January 2019 is almost over. January, the most beautiful month and the month that gives you so much enlightenment. The month that makes you think about what's good of advance preparation, planning and perseverance. February 2019 here we come. Chinese New Year will be celebrated by the Chinese and we are glad that we are part of their celebration. Another extravaganza of lavish feast of food, firecrackers and fireworks.

The Vanishing
I'm not sure about the news whether they are NEW or hoard news. Recently I watched television news about the dam that collapsed in Brazil. It was muddy and the bridge has torn apart but where are the debris? I mean the concrete slabs or concrete cement from the bridge? The aerial pictures shown through the internet was just a river of mud and the unfinished bridge. Some photos were like miniatures made up as if lifeless art or still art like what's been filmed in the movie Hereditary. It's weird. But then with a film footage of some people airlifted by helicopter from the muddy area to rescue those survivors? Maybe the scene was actually real news. Who Knows? I'm not at the area where the dam collapsed or nor the TV News anchormen or broadcaster, we the television viewers were just watching what was happening...if you are watching TV News.
However, if your water is turning muddy or your water tap is not that clean, not clear, muddy red or pink in color you probably been affected. Maybe your water system or water pipelines are connected through that dam.
Where is Brazil? Brazil is in South America. Look at the world map and find out. The old ancient map of Brazil (the old world) looked more like the shape of a head. What the true shape of Brazil's map through the ISS in our time and year 2019? Brazil looks more like Luzon, the upper part land surface of the Philippines. Mining and Mother nature's wrath could do a lot of damage to the land surface of one's country. You can laugh at what I'm writing here because the head can always wear a helmet, a veil or cover. Anyway, don't believe me.
When I first arrived here in Canada and had my first visit in Campbell River, there were department stores promoting Brazilian made leather shoes, bags and luggage plus other products made from Brazil. It was replaced with something else. I knew that there was a hot spring here and that too vanished without a trace. When asked about it nobody knows and nobody will tell you as if they haven't seen it nor heard as if they are not from here. Know-Nothing inhabitants. OMG! Some people also vanished without a trace! The vanishing act. What's happening? I felt like the female hermit in this old ancient city.
I know, somebody from the bank also wants to vanish people I know just because probably she is a newcomer in this city. I wont forgot that newly employed bank teller Emily without a family name. Maybe she is Emily Rude. Simply not from the Rudyard Kipling's family. Nope. never! Well, I hope the name of Campbell River remains the same and if somebody would like to replace the name please change it with a better, famous and popular name that we can all appreciate. You can replace it with Turner Camp. OMG! Is that too much to ask? Not kidding, the Turner - Prendergast had a large logging camp here before and after World War II in this area. Vancouver island is a rainforest. The island is covered with the tallest trees in the world. Tallest trees and oldest century trees mostly at the Cathedral Groves. Those hundred old trees and lumbers were part of your buildings, houses, furniture and land poles for electricity. Those millions of tall electric posts that you have on your streets and highways were logged out from this island. This enchanted island was a hideaway for the Roosevelts and those seeking medical attention. Yeah, quite extraordinary.
Whatever! Wealthy, rich developers are most welcome to develop this island for good. After all, no man is an island.

Cheaters Don't Win The Game
I don't know what it is with the games and race nowadays they become political and they become racial the racism and prejudice arise like crazy. To each his own or her own. Is that communism theme motto or what? You are just playing for the money then suddenly there is that AC/DC again as if they are not immune to such number. They will choose AC instead of DC when the QUEEN is much, much better! You already have a house and then somebody wants you out on the road like fury road.
It's the same old stupid portuguese of war that never stop as if those wild, notorious, hellish, obnoxious jellyfish cannot be contend and they have to cling to win and suck your blood over and over again. You can't fool me with your stupid asshole game.

Patience & Perseverance
I did what I can do for today... something new. I colored my hair with violet hairdye. I should have bleach my hair first but that's a lot of work. I don' really want to cover my whole long hair with violet color hairdye. I only want to experiment on such particular color for a change. So far, it's not freaky Saturday. I think my head and hair didn't react to the hairdye. Wow! I am not allergic to its substance. I wonder what kind of fruits, fiber, roots or plant they used to make such dye. Actually at first, mixing the color to the rest of the mixture made me nervous because the color of the mix was dark pink instead of violet. Ha! Like pepto bismol. lol. Then when I applied the mix liquid dye on my hair down to the roots, waited for few minutes and the dark pink color changed to dark violet. It takes time, have to be patient. Patience and perseverance your key because you are the generation X and the millennials.
My brand new computer is acting up on me so that's also "something new." It's been terrorized by somebody notorious. ? Tsk! Tsk! I could only think that the supposedly brand new computer was actually a "refurbished." Why the hell department stores sell something like that? Windows 10 is somewhat not designed for the veterans in the computer business. It is great for kids who need the attention of their teachers. Windows 10 is not for my kind of computing, not great enough for my blogs and not good enough for my multitasking mind. Windows 10 is slow.
Anyway, hope floats in my system when other bad elements wont or can't do anything to stop my good mood today. Beh!
Even the weather doesn't cooperate. The weather is somewhat in gloomy condition, still a bit dark at 10 am. Cloudy day and chance of showers would be expected in the afternoon if not, you should take a shower and use your own water tap/shower. Waiting for the rainfall to take the chance of having more water at your rooftop flowing to your drum would mean futile, yeah if you live somewhere in the desert. LOL.

Mind Over Matter
You bet I was not able to sleep good last night because I was thinking about my pair of gold earrings.
So glad to have found a photograph of my gold earrings from my file folder.
It's hard to lose something very important and with value: sentimental and material. I felt like a material girl but who else is not a material girl?
You think the Church and the Government are not materialistic but they are. They are the first and foremost dwellings of materialism. Nothing exists without materials because they are matters and what matters to me then it matters to you, simple as that.
I wish to forget that it ever happened. How could I? It was my birthday yesterday and missing something of value is something that makes me sad.
I decided to return to sewing and use my Brother sewing machine. I once used Singer sewing machine but that was thing of the past and so as Kenmore. I designed a blouse and the fabric that I used is made of polyester/spandex/cotton and the color of the fabric is white and sky blue with floral prints. It's like the color of the sky this morning when I looked up the sky and asked heaven where's my pair of gold earrings? And God answered, "is that the only pair of gold earrings you have?"
Darn! I should wear fancy jewelries instead. No one, nobody will steal fancy jewelries.

Eureka Moment
I had that eureka moment! My pair of gold earrings are missing. I looked around, everywhere in my bedroom, in the living room, dining room, bathrooms, in my jewelry boxes maybe I hid them there but no, not there. I can't find my gold earrings. I felt disappointed and frustrated. I have other pairs of earrings but that pair of gold earrings are too sentimental to lose or get stolen. At first I was kind of mad, later felt kind of crazy being paranoid. Suspicions arise started cursing.
Who wont be? My daughter's Foster Grant's sunglasses was missing days ago. Now it's my earrings? I don't mind if its fancy kind of earrings. They are not ordinary kind of hoop earrings have intricate, delicate designs on its surface. I felt so moody and my day turned around in search for those gold earrings.
Paranoia is somewhat hard to explain especially if it happened to you, that being suspicious is part of human nature. I eliminate the possibility of my daughter using my earrings because she doesn't wear earrings and she doesn't has the tiny holes to hang those hoop earrings. She is not that material girl like most humans are. She is just happy being herself and her computer, tablets and laptops. My son doesn't wear earrings because he is "straight." He doesn't have those holes to hang those gold earrings. My husband doesn't wear gold earrings. For what? He's a man! He is straight not crook. So no one is a thief in my house. Nobody will take my jewelries inside my house. But where are my gold earrings?
OMG! Now I'm so pissed off! It's one of those days that keep me ranting and musing all day. Now you know how Americans felt the same way like Trump. If something is missing, or being stolen and crimes are everywhere you felt the same way. You develop certain kind of fear, hate and disgust. When you feel like you are being taken advantage and unimportant because you are older than these young generation of ________! Maybe if you want to read some bs language or words I cannot blog or post because you know "censorship" is a matter of choice, visit the website of Margaret & Helen and learn something new. You'll laugh maybe or you'll hate politics. Whatever emotions you have after reading will you still go back there and read some more of their politically correct, satire and paradox ideas and opinions?

The same situation when those realtors and their clients came and looked at the houses where we lived before that in those situations unforgiving that is so many of my precious, valuable things went missing such as: 2 carpets, ceramic vase, crystal wine glasses, framed photograph of the PR Grain Elevator, my real genuine Louis Vuitton cross body/shoulder bag, the black backpack with the red cross logo, etc., etc. My computer was hacked. It showed somebody tried to insert a device to copy my picture folder. I know who those 3 people who did the crime on that day had it recorded in my diary. What photographs they want from my picture folder? Which picture, who's picture? What are they going to do with those photos? They could have just asked me. To pretend that you will look inside the house together with the realtor? That's totally BS! It's the question whether it's sort of a conspiracy between the realtor and the two clients (man and a woman). OMG! WTH!!!
It's what the hell! You wished for hell maybe start calling the hellraiser. I'm sorry for being so tired of those thieves trying to steal and had stolen so many things from me. That's a normal situation in America where Americans owned guns and shoot whoever they want to shoot when their properties are stolen and when crimes are so rampant that they want those border walls built as soon as possible.

You Are What You Eat!
My husband went shopping for groceries recently and met somebody he hasn't seen for such a long time. He almost forgot her name. I know her and the last time we met was at the hospital thrift shop. She's nice and wonderful and curious. She likes asking questions which reminds me of myself. Yeah, me being an inquisitive, always asking questions just to know that person personally. Because the truth is better to ask that person directly instead of asking questions from others about you. There is no other human who knows yourself in the truest sense and asking about others is more like an interrogation or seems like a detective work.
Yesterday, as I watched the two identical female twins who were tested on their DNA and Ancestry by providing samples of their saliva. Know what the result? Seemed unbelievable that two female identical twins didn't match 100% in their test of ancestry. What could be the problem? Scientists were asked to give opinions and ideas why such "error" occurred. Or is that an error or because something went wrong in the process? What could be?
Here's my opinion:
First, you are what you eat. I know that sounds absurd! I am being so mean with my opinion as if I didn't study Science and its wonders.
Look you provided samples of your saliva. Cotton swab of what you insert and wipe through your mouth. Precisely what could be the effect?What have you eaten in the past 24 hours? Did you brush your teeth and gargle your mouth with mouth wash before the procedure?
Let say you ate the following food: Beef steak Angus from Australia, vegetables from Mexico, steamed rice from Thailand, potatoes from Idaho, USA. You had a glass of red wine from Italy. Cheese from Vienna, Austria, chocolates and cheesecake baked from Switzerland.
The result is doubting? 50% Australian ancestry, 10% Mexican, 5% Thai, 10% American,
15% Italian, 5% Austrian, 5% Swiss ancestry.
Yes, you could laugh but it's LOGIC.

Roast well
Some people might think it's only $20! What $20 can buy in our time? Right! What $20 money can buy nowadays especially if you are paid a minimum wage of $10/hour to $12/hour of HARD WORK, hard labor! And if you are not paid and if you are unemployed? That $20 is worthy!
Let me tell you, would you like to work? I was working for my blogs for over 5 years now and I don't receive any single cent. My work is better than most journalists and news reporters around the globe and I am not paid anything that's why $20 money is worth a million dollars to me. I am not against something for the GOOD CAUSE. However, if you will ask me again for another batch of donation maybe ask some millionaires and billionaires first and they will tell you to WORK HARD FOR THE MONEY! I know they wont give you $20. Work hard for it.
Would you like to try AMAZING RACE? Learn the value of money on how it is spent and how its been received? Would you jump from the airplane in the sky and land alive? Would you like to climb the highest building or climb the highest mountain? Would you like to scuba dive and stay under the sea for an hour? Would you like working without sleeping so that you can finish your work on time? Would you like touching those dirty horses bums and cleaned their bums and barns? Some of these work were done by some millionaires who worked so hard working for peanuts. That if you are to receive just a hefty sum of $20 you must be thankful and grateful.
My kids never ask anything from me. They never ask money from me. My eldest son worked so hard and he goes to College and pay for his own education. We helped too in such a way that he wont be burden or overload. This is the life in Canada and the U.S. kids are taught to educate themselves. They want to have money for their luxurious needs they must work for it. Millionaires and billionaire parents do that same kind of disciplinary actions for their kids.
I wish we are not paying $1,500/month rent to the current house and we don't spend $ 2,000+ in utilities but we are law abiding citizens of this country. We paid our taxes! We have to eat and we bought our own food. We don't rely on handouts and we don't panhandle. If you want to pan for gold join the Olympic Games.
I know some of you just pay property tax yearly because you are house-owners. Good for you! I wish my husband is paid good enough for his work but you know it's totally different here because work is contractual and seasonal. That if I'm the one who will decide what kind of weather we have here then we'll be all happy with just two climate zone and work will be a continuous process but it's not.
As usual, when they go high it's time to go low. It's like the law of supply and demand. Did you notice how some people react when they heard something to this kind of situation? The expectation of socio-economic status of the upstarts is once again in focus. Wow! Burgis!! Do you have clean toilets?

Some of these work were done by some millionaires who worked so hard working for peanuts. That if you are to receive just a hefty sum of $20 you must be thankful and grateful.
My kids never ask anything from me. They never ask money from me. My eldest son worked so hard and he goes to College and pay for his own education. We helped too in such a way that he wont be burden or overload. This is the life in Canada and the U.S. kids are taught to educate themselves. They want to have money for their luxurious needs they must work for it. Millionaires and billionaire parents do that same kind of disciplinary actions for their kids.
I wish we are not paying $1,500/month rent to the current house and we don't spend $ 2,000+ in utilities but we are law abiding citizens of this country. We paid our taxes! We have to eat and we bought our own food. We don't rely on handouts and we don't panhandle. If you want to pan for gold join the Olympic Games.
I know some of you just pay property tax yearly because you are house-owners. Good for you! I wish my husband is paid good enough for his work but you know it's totally different here because work is contractual and seasonal. That if I'm the one who will decide what kind of weather we have here then we'll be all happy with just two climate zone and work will be a continuous process but it's not.
As usual, when they go high it's time to go low. It's like the law of supply and demand. Did you notice how some people react when they heard something to this kind of situation? The expectation of socio-economic status of the upstarts is once again in focus. Wow! Burgis!! Do you have clean toilets?

Stranger Things!
It was after dinner of beef spaghetti and toasted black of garlic bread last night. I can't believe that the fire alarm didn't make any sound. I forgot that the garlic bread was inside the oven because I was reading flyers and newspaper. Anyway, no fire whatsoever. Just that before the smoke comes out from the oven I was able to turn off the oven. Maybe because I was alert of such situation and the smoke alarm didn't bother. I didn't even smell it though. Crazy! So that's probably it. Am I losing my sense of smell?
Then after dinner we heard knocks at the door. When my hubby opened the door we heard loud playing of guitar and the two girls started singing. OMG! What's happening?! What's going on? It's not Christmas Day nor holidays. Holidays are over! They are singing an ordinary song not Christmas song. Then she handed me over an empty envelope and I read it was a solicitation for a certain cause. Two younger girls (teens?) who were serenading us asking for donation. They were Filipinas,
I am not sure if they are (?), didn't ask their names because I let them sing and I asked my husband if he wants to donate. We don't really keep cash at home. Although they were Filipinas (?), I don't know them. I don't know if they are children by parents who live in my community or within the city or they are from another city. I don't like interrogating them or put them on hold and ask so many questions. The last money I had from the holidays which I would like spend for a lottery ticket was then given to that charity. It's okay! Maybe it's really for the good cause.
Truth is don't like what they are singing, the song is too creepy for me to listen to that I gave my last money in my wallet. Goodbye my $20! Sayonara! Bon voyage! Arivederci! So long and goodbye! Babu!
OMG! Why not they just hold a party and sell tickets and hold a Chinese auction. That's what Filipino-Canadian Club or organization do in my community. They can collect empty cans and bottles. Sell hotdogs and hold a garage sale. Because solicitation of such sort will soon need identification cards and letter from the City Mayor.

Believe It Or Not
It's foggy once again at the island. The fog remains from dawn until this afternoon. I don't know when the fog will vanish at what time...don't know. You can use your giant fan or wind turbine if you have it at the island. lol. Uhm, I should not laugh because the wind turbines if you want dozens of them at the island? It's gonna be noisy and your land will become hostile environment. Animals can't behave properly and if animals are bothered with wind turbines so can you. Besides, wind turbines are very costly! Your land tax will expand, you'll be burden with excess tax and before you can finish paying for them it would be Year 3000. Well, your children's children will pay for them until Year 3000.
Simply, the clouds on the ground which is called fog is due to a certain steam coming out from the ground. You can move mountains now? And the un-amused inhabitants would probably think you are crazy! If you are crazy rich maybe you can move mountains and turned your moles into hills.
You can't really fool a person who knows Geography by heart, nor you can deny the minds of historians. I can't believe at one time that my geography professor was at the clinic sometime in 2001. What's that? Odyssey? LOL. No matter how you destroyed the old map and even if you destroyed the landmarks. You wont be able to destroy huge mountains. You already destroyed the canyons, and you already emptied the ocean in Alberta. Which ocean you are about to dry and vanish next? The Earth is 70 % water and 30% land. The water is liquid but not of the water is drinkable. You can desalinate ocean water and turned it into safe drinkable water just like what they are doing in the Middle East.
In Paris, France the original inhabitants would rather preserved the old landmarks because once those landmarks are destroyed it's no longer Paris and it's no longer France. It might become Philippines. The same situation will happen if the landmark statue of Dr. Jose Rizal is destroyed and other world known heritage sites are destroyed eventually no landmark record of anything will determine if that area, place is actually the original place, city or country. Sometimes the elimination of important statue, edifice, building or landmark is a sign of elimination of original inhabitants and elimination of race. The elimination of the Java men, Neanderthal men and Cro-Magnons were facts of evolution of race being eliminated on the face of the earth. The elimination of the oldest civilization, the Arameics, the ancient Jews... The elimination of race is more likely a fascist act of who is stronger and strongest in physical and mental attributes. The Olympic games is one of those games that deal with the elimination process. Hard to believe?

The Birds Scene
It was like the "bird scene" yesterday from the old movie "The Birds." I was surprised of so many hundreds of birds outside the yard. Wow! What's going on?
My hubby said, "early bird catches the worm." I had seen one starling caught a big worm and the starling didn't even share it to the other starlings. What starlings look like?
Actually starlings are pretty colorful birds. Their feathers are shiny purple, teal, blue, black and brown color combinations. I don't know why whenever I looked out from he window these starlings flew away as being scared of my presence. Uhm, I looked at the mirror and I laughed. I was wearing a black laced blouse and blue-green skirt. Then I stretched my well-defined sleeves and I'm ready to fly. Aahahahaha! The blouse looks like a scarecrow costume.
It was foggy this morning. Then all of a sudden the sun shines out once again. It's another wonderful day today just like yesterday.
I looked at clouds from both sides now and feel somehow looks like illusion as I recall
I gazed my vision to the left and to the right of the clear blue sky and I spotted something on top of the tallest tree on my surrounding and to my big surprise there is that lone eagle standing on top of the tree.
Majestic and unmoved the eagle can't be bothered nesting tall and proud.
Come on gaze at me and take a look at me now...
Darn! My digital camera is heavy. Four loads of batteries. My camera is shaking so can't have it to zoom lens all the time. Next time I will have my tripod out at the yard for better viewing pleasure the camera can stand and the tripod will hold it firmly and I just need to click for every angle.
There 'ya go, the proud, mighty eagle moved its head, his bill (beak) can be seen through the lens of my camera. Darn! What you are looking at eagle? Then I started scurrying the wide blue sky and saw a fast moving jet plane above the sky. Wow! Real supersonic jet and within few minutes I saw another jet soaring above the sky to the direction pointing to the direction of the first jet. In just one minute a V formation shaped up so clear to my vision on the sky as if some kind of an interesting sign.

Weather forecast
It's gonna be sunny today and up to Wednesday next week. I hope so! I should believe that the weather will soon be beautiful and pleasing to the eyes and for the mind. The snow has melted and we all expect that winter is followed by Spring.
However, let me tell you that it's only January 2019.
January is one of the coldest winter months so we have to be vigilant as in expect the unexpected.
The one day of snowfall is over in this part of the world. The ground is simply "tropical" you know
the island is located in the Pacific and we are just walk away from the beach that snow will not stick that long unlike the snow in Newfoundland, Toronto, Calgary or in Edmonton.
The best way to find out if the weather will be gorgeous or not is to look up in the sky and the clouds like what I always do.
I look up in the sky too not just for cloud formation or for bird watching but you know for drones and UFO. LOL. The search for E.T. is the unfinished business.
However, let me tell you that it's only January 2019.

Light Up. Lift Up
If you can't lift yourself up, try lifting others. Be the cheers! WOW!
Beware of lifting heavy stuff. Did you know that one of the tests given to would be workers at BC Ferry is "how to lift up something heavy." How to do it. The examiner wants to see how you can lift a heavy bucket without telling you how. The examiner will just give you the command to lift the heavy bucket on your own. After you lift the bucket up (or a box) they will tell you whether you pass or not.
Why that kind of test? That's weird!
Truth is most of the accident happenings in the workforce is lifting objects, lifting heavy stuff and lifting a patient in the hospitals and most doctors, nurses and caregivers are injured because of lifting up the loads.
Golfers also had injury lifting golf balls from the ground or they get injured when they made the wrong swing or wrong turn to hit the golf ball with their club. Most injuries are: fractures, dislocated joints, shoulder and hip injury, backaches and neck pains, including carpal tunnel syndrome. Athletes and military soldiers and personnel injured themselves too, having broken bones, concussions and some of them lead to unspeakable like death.
A negligent tenant left his couch and recliner, including the bed and mattress and move out of the apartment. The tenant was actually served with eviction notice. The manager of the apartment called my husband to help him load the heavy stuff on his utility trailer to dump those old furniture. I asked why not that guy dump those old rotten furniture to the dumpsite because he is the one in charged of his own tenants. Well, turned out the manager doesn't own a utility trailer because he owns a Ford Mustang and besides those furniture are really heavy. It's a backbreaking work for them.
My husband brought the old rotten junk at the yard loaded on his utility trailer attached to his 4X4 Dodge Ram truck. He can't dump them (old furniture) because it was snowing. OMG! My husband paid for the dumping of such loads to the dump area I don't know if the other manager help unload those heavy furniture. Would you believe that? WTH!!!!! Is my husband being bullied? Yeah, first thought my husband is being bullied. My husband is also a townhouse and apartment manager so I first thought he is being bullied on lifting those heavy stuff. For God sake! Then found out later that the guy helped him unload those old furniture to the dumpsite. Matresses! How many mattress and old beds, old furniture and garbage from tenants that my husband loaded in the utility trailers before? So many! How many times my husband is a victim of loading and unloading what's left behind by evicted tenants? My husband frequently been a patient at chiropractor's clinic for pain and backaches. Those irresponsible tenants don't know how heavy those furniture are and they are heavier than a bucket full of water. Ok then. My God I am so high blood. My high blood pressure is going up like crazy.
My sister had a leg injury and had the operation done on her leg last Monday at the hospital. The injury on her legs are incredibly unbelievable. Diagnosis: osteo-arthritis. I first thought she was just suffering on that one right leg but when she told me that once she recuperated from that one leg operation then her left leg is next for surgery. Oh my God! I felt like vomiting and I felt dizzy when I heard what she said. Why is she suffering from this kind of ailment? Is she being bullied at work? Is she lifting up heavy stuff at work? Hard work can sometimes a heavy burden especially if your work is to lift up heavy stuff when you are not a weightlifter for the Olympics.
Canada is the country with workers complaining of work-related injury, not that they want to or destined to do such heavy work for minimum wage but because it's the way it is. I think minimum wage should rise up from $12/hour to $17/hour especially if the worker has to lift up heavy loads.
Nobody is built like man of steel on planet Earth. Nobody is Superman or Supergirl because they are based on myth and fantasy. So let us be real and true to ourselves that minimum wage should increase base on the kind of work assigned to each worker.

The Evidence of Winter Season Is Here
Getting cozy beside the fireplace, so glad that the house has electric heating and gas heating combination during the cold winter days. We're supposed to visit my sister at the hospital where she had a leg operation, then suddenly the weather changed so quickly. It started snowing. Well, I just hope and pray that my sister is doing just fine and has recuperated good enough from all the aches and pain in that surgery.
We first thought it would be just a slushy field of snow outside but the snow stuck to the ground like white glue powder. Do we need a gorilla glue? For whatever reason my photos didn't turn out fine. My face looked different as if my face was replaced with somebody else. That's what hackers do in the internet. They can replace your face and body with somebody else. If you have fairly white complexion they will turn your skin into colored one, they could even made you look like black. What they cannot change is the climate. When the snowy winter comes and the thick snow eventually fell on the ground they can't change that. If there's flash flood and their homes are submerged on water and they were living on he rooftop that too they can't change the weather unless of course if they are God.
My daughter Tam was so helpful and had the shovel ready and shoved the snow on the sidewalk and on grounds where we have to walk on. How do you like the first snowfall for the month of January 2019 at the island? It started snowing after we had lunch and it stopped snowing after we had our dinner of hot and delicious baked salmons, steamed rice, steamed green beans, and sauteed corned beef with sliced onions. The snowy winter wonderland will stay there on the yard until another force of nature takes place.

It's Saint Bernadette's birth anniversary.
Happy birthday Saint Bernadette. I don't know much about you but because you are such a mystery to every humans on earth. Whether you are a reincarnation of Joan of Arc or a version of every good girl, or every good worthy woman who wants the world a better place where kindness, compassion and humility exists. You are the guide to every obstacles, corruption and every worthy cause. You had your aches and pains but the severity of all those pains are nothing because of your dedication and love for the Higher Supreme God. Your faith and devotion to God is a great example to every religious denominations.
I wont deny that I am not that of a religious human being but I believe in God. Of course there is God, most High and revered by anyone whether they are helped or supported but you know being righteous, being kind and following the Golden rules " Do unto others as you wont others do unto you" most likely been followed by everyone. Do no harm!
Nobody likes a male chauvinist pig. Nobody likes a racist-bigot. You don't like being a victim of racism and prejudice. It's not about color. Color doesn't solve anything unless of course if you are into games. As I said over and over again, politics and economics can't be ruled as one. You can't win a complicated war because of hidden conflict and ulterior motive. Empathy is something we all have in our hearts and mind. If somebody yawns another being follows. When another person cries because of humiliation, disgrace, sorrow and death it's almost the whole nation weeps. We are humans and we all deserve to beloved and cared for. Nobody is alone when somebody struggles because you thought you wont feel the same? It's like we are in this together, you are part of the whole universe. You are part of those Christmas lights wrap around that Christmas tree, your family tree and if one bulb doesn't lit or without light you have to do something to fix it. Humans are like that good at fixing things no matter how hard it is. The light you give and the life you give and protect maybe your own.

Food Purge
We had a pizza with lots of cheese then added some chopped pieces of ham and baked it on our oven. That's it, simple as it is for our lunch today. Diet? Well, as you know we had that food purge during the Holidays and would you believe that there is one chunky piece of turkey left inside our fridge? It's already January 6, 2019 and we have left overs.
What we really had for the Holidays?
Christmas 2018 Feast: Turkey, stuffing, gravy. Samosa, springrolls. We had pancit, shrimp rings and spicy sauce, ham, brusselsprouts and peas. Then my sister Emmy brought a plate of spaghetti, a plate of springrolls (lumpia) and a box of shortbread cookies.
Desserts: Fresh fruit salad, vegetable salad with ranch dill dressing, chocolate cherry cake, strawberry-vanilla cake. Andy brought a raspberry oats cobbler.
Lorne cooked this hot East Hampton clam chowder. Chunky, delicious with lots of real clams of course.
For the New Year feast, I cooked pancit once again and brought it to my sister's house.
I also cooked squid with beans and add coconut milk. I baked fruit muffins and we brought them to my sister's house.
At their home, we were welcomed warmly with a table full of food: Embutido, turkey, ham, shrimp rings, chips and chicken dip sauce, beef tapas, fettuccine with white sauce, springrolls. The tapas are my favorite.
For their desserts: They had gelatine in different colors. Sweet!
What we really had for the Holidays?
I deep fried samosas and lumpia.
Sure, I cooked all the ingredients first for the samosas.
At their home, we were welcomed warmly with a table full of food: Embutido, turkey, ham, shrimp rings, chips and chicken dip sauce, beef tapas, fettuccine with white sauce, springrolls. The tapas are my favorite.
My husband likes the fresh fruit salad with honey syrup plus the whip cream.

Aquarius
Why always on this part of the world? Why at this island of Vancouver? Recently, there was an announcement that the water reservoir has to empty of its loads before another rainfall and then here comes another downpour. It's not windy. No wind storm this time. But its cloudy and drizzles are non-stop, 6 degrees C. and you wished for snow instead? Uhm...let me think about that. That would be nice especially our backyard is large enough for me to create a snowman or create lots of snowmen and igloos. lol. ha ha ha! as if its true! I'm becoming like a joker/prankster. Then they pray fervently again to control the weather.

Are You A Divergent?
You are a Catholic if you are into repetition! Believe it or not we all repeat as if it's naturally been in our system as in systemic. Rote system. We repeat prayers over and over again. Our cells are being repeated. Old Schools followed the rote system.
What else is being repeated? Night and day. day and night. The time, days of the month, month to month and year after year. Birthdays and anniversaries, festivals, holidays. We eat, drink and be happy. We move, walk, sit, watch, talk, sleep, wake up, drive, work, think, play and we act on certain issues. It's all verbs and adverbs.
From ashes, dust to dust...time to clean up.
Words are being repeated and echoes on solid ground.
Life is being repeated. Babies are born, grow up, set maturity, grow old and then lives are taken away by God when the right times come. On and on, on and on.
Songs are being repeated, dance sequences, poems and strokes.
Winter, spring, summer and autumn. Autumn, summer, spring, winter.
I'm not gonna lie the weather today is outstanding. It's sunny and warm outside. It's only January 4, 2019. It's the year 2019 and it feels like Springtime. The daffodils sprung its bud 2 inches in height on the flower beds outside our yard. That's what it is with daffodils they live forever no matter what the kind of weather and no matter how harsh the climate, snowy winter, hot weather they grow like wild grass. Bulbs. You know those plants with bulbs they always return to live and propagate.
And what's so annoying today? The repeat of those women on television show repeating the words "Amazing!" As if promoting the Amazing race. Rat race maybe. The rats are all over the walls now? LOL. OMG! What kind of experiment they are up to?
The many reruns and replays of old movies are back: The Edge of Tomorrow, Ironman, Divergent, Insurgent. How about Convergent? You only knew Trish and Four. Do you know FIVE? Mambo Number 5. Five for Fighting. Ha ha ha! While the rest of us would like to have Chanel No. 5.
The news about US Pres. Trump who told the news reporters that there is "Government shutdown" if the border WALL security is not approved. Until then... Well, you know this is not the first time a President had the government shutdown for reasons that benefit the cause for most Americans. Who are against the walls? Year 3000 when mankind will remember Pres. Trump had its own WALL (Wall of Steel or Concrete wall?) just like the Great Wall of China. Children will have problem who was the Emperor in China who ordered and built the Great wall of China.
We'll wait and see. Sailing)))) take me away... Yeah Christopher Cross sing that song over and over again and let Pres. Trump listen to your song. You can have Supergirl right there at the White House and clean up the mess.
Check and Balance? Government should have check and balance and "Shutdown's" probably to that effect. What is there inside and what is missing. INVENTORY is a natural government procedure to the CHECK & BALANCE and it should be done yearly to accumulate BUDGET.
Money? The US has lots and tons of money. How many billionaires in America? That wall of steel is nothing to these billionaires. Conversion of GOLD to cash? How many GOLDS to convert and converse? Count the population of one's country and multiply the value of your own people and you'll never know how richly endowed your country. The people are the valuable, important assets of your country. No human can be replaced by a tree, house, or any material object.

Happy Three Kings!
We all know about gold. But myrrh and frankincense?
Myrrh is a word derived from Aramaic language, it means resin or gum extracted from small thorny trees species of the genus Commiphora. Myrrh is used as fragrance, perfume, incense and medicine.
Frankincense is a resin from the genus Boswellia and used for incense and perfumes. Its essential oil is used as aromatherapy for pain, inflammation and to boost immunity.

Two Fireworks for 2019
There were 2 fireworks we watched in the celebration of the NEW YEAR 2019: Fireworks in Seattle's Space Needle tower and at the Vancouver Harbour showing the Canada Place.
We can only watched these spectacular fireworks on TV. That's what it is for when you have television you get the chance to see what you wont be able to see with your naked eyes. You get to sit at the convenience of your own home and watch everything without missing a thing.

New Year 2019
What`s new for the Year 2019? Let me summarize what happened in the Year 2018 first.
Of course we celebrated our birthdays and anniversaries including Thanksgiving Day, Christmas and the New Year.
My parents celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary in 2018.
Unfortunately, I was not able to attend my parent's anniversary so I decided to include myself in the picture to make it complete. To complete our VERDAD family.
There were so much of those happenings and important events of 2018 because of the South Korean (PyeongChang) Winter Olympic Games.
The height of global warming and all the wildfires causing havoc in BC and California. The Panic Button from NK that led to Hawaiians ducked for cover. There were few earthquakes due volcanic eruptions, flash floods and calamities in other parts of the world. Other than that the world, the Earth is a pleasant planet to live and where humanities must exist. The VIP's or the Very Important People in Canada were called and were given awards, monarchs marrying a non-member of the Royals, Royal members getting married and giving birth, politicians and moviestars, showbiz personalities were always featured on the screen of the TV. The lowly, ordinary people still thrive to be recognized and some of us still struggling to be recognized. lol
I had read the latest book "Courtney's War" of the famous writer Wilbur Smith. My husband finished reading it after he's done with his work. Haven't read some of his books yet. Too many.
We watched so many interesting movies such as: Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, The Shape of Water, Downsizing, Mad Max: Road Fury, Dunkirk, 47 Ronin, Geostorm, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, Transformers: the Last Knight, The Witness,Disturbia, Baywatch the movie, The Big Call, The Impossible, Mission Impossible: Fallout, Rampage, Crazy rich Asians, Terminal Velocity, Ocean's 8, Everest, The Thousand Faces of Dunjia. Most of these movies are FREE, some are rented. With TV Connection and we are paying for that connection we must avail of such convenience of entertainment, entertaining ourselves to the convenience of our home.
Too many TV Shows and series worth watching such as: NCIS, FBI, The Good Doctor, Quantico, Blindspot, Big Bang Theory, Young Sheldon, Big Brother, Survivor, Superstore, The Amazing Race, American idol, the Social, Footsteps Of A Mermaid, Nirvana In Fire 2, ET (entertainment Tonight) Etalk, Ryan & Kelly Live, CTV News, CBC News Network, Global News, OMNI TV, Weather Channel.
So really Year 2019 would be just a repetition of all these? Maybe and maybe not! Let us hope that all bad ones, those wicked and evil events and demonic humans should be eliminated and if can't be eliminated we must control those bad consequences.Weather, weather we cannot control because God is always in control and Mother Nature has its own mind. We have the power to choose what we want to choose and control...we have a choice. For those who are suffering of certain ailments we pray for their immediate recovery in Jesus name, Amen. The mistakes of the past should stop and must be stopped at all cost. No ifs no buts! If you don't want being connected with the people you disliked or they don't like you for whatever reason then it's time to take control. You are YOU. It's up to you. You are the master of yourself. I AM The Master of Myself. GOD BLESS US ALL.
