How Much Trash You Have At Home?

 Some people's trash are their treasure! Believe it or not!! That you wont believe that they keep looking for some more trash now as often as they would.

First of all BATTERIES are made from trash. Rubbish! What on Earth am I writing here? Battery plant in Ontario is worth BILLIONS OF DOLLARS investment. That's a humongous amount of dollars. It will bring in employment and the economy will flourish. IT'S PROGRESS IN THE MAKING. The adverse effect? Hmmm...

RUSSIA was once the original battery plant. Have you seen the documentary of how batteries are made in Russia?  However due to the wars In Ukraine and Russia I think the world's largest battery plant has shutdown or closed down? EUROPE and some parts of Asia had in part subservient to the great powers of Russia when it comes to nuclear energy, electricity or hydro.  Next, is The North Korea and China. Their piles and millions of tons of trash had them creating more missiles after another.

What batteries are known for and made of? Nuclear waste? Uranium, plutonium, lithium,cadmium, lead, zinc, manganese, silver, mercury, atoms, protons, neutrons and other  contents that could power almost all modern appliances, modern tech gadgets, computers, cars, trucks, trains, airplanes, rockets, and missiles. It could power a country's electricity.

To think  that every battery is now being recycled. Whether it is as powerful as the original non-recycled don't know about that. Do you think recycled trash batteries could power rockets and spaceships? 

Hey, fermented potatoes could become rubbing alcohol not just Vodka. Sure, potatoes could power rockets and spaceships maybe in the future. Ask the Marstronaut.

Hmm... do you believe in UFO & ALIENS?

The alienation of indifference. lol. Don't really know what to post today. I have tackled so many subjects and objectives already in the past.

The weather temp. is only 10 degrees Celsius today and maybe it will rise up in the afternoon. Maybe, maybe not. The usual unpredictability. It depends on how the winds will blow the clouds from covering the sun. 

Did you know that well developed wealthy countries can control their weather? It is too costly though. It is through scientific method. If they want rainy days they provide the cloud seeding effect in the sky. Or satellites could spread its wings covering the rays of the sun or blocking sunshine from outer space. A call from the ISS (International Space Station) who can push its buttons to give us enough sunshine or rainy days. However, that is very expensive. TOO COSTLY! That the effect could lead more taxes to be paid. High cost of living to double up.

Whether there are aliens out there to rule your world how are you to react?

As Usual GREED Is The Cause

 COINCIDENCE or what, every time Canucks loses the game the weather temperature in BC goes down. Hmm, looks like I'm only the one who can notice that eh?

It's springtime! The weather temp should or must goes up. However, several wildfires are already out there to cause so much troubles. According to the news, some of those wildfires are human errors.

 Really? Tell me, tell us the truth please. How stupid and reckless those humans. How many wildfires and how many wildfire causing humans who are so wicked and evil and what is their objective for causing such tragic loss of the forest, thousands to millions of trees that will be consumed with fires turned to ashes. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust?  Those humans causing wildfires should be jailed for life. Maximum penalty for them!

You know how long to grow a tree? Fifty to hundred years! If those millions of trees will just turn to ashes after 50 to 100 years then better to cut them before those trees turned 50. Use them for house-building. There is no reason why houses are so expensive when Canada has all the materials for building houses. It took only a day to build a frame for a brand new 3 bedroom house. It will take a week to cover the house with walls, cover the roof with roof tiles and lay wood flooring. Maybe another day or two to paint the inside house and another day to paint exterior walls. Just simple as that. How and why it is costly to buy a house? Because of too much PROFIT. Too much profit benefit the sellers and the Government.

Follow the law of supply and demand in Economics. If the demand is high, the price is low and if the demand is low, the price is high.

Shoes For Casual & Formal Occasion

 

I like this pair of shoes from Walmart. Shoes great for casual and formal occasion. Too great and comfy for hot summer days. According to the advertisement, the shoes are made from linen straw, cotton canvas. Definitely not plastic! The price is affordable too. That you might buy at least 2 to 3 pairs: black, red and beige.

Walmart should have them retailed at their department store instead of having it online for orders. People would rather fit in to actual shoes in person. Nobody gets the right exact  fitting through online purchase if you know what I mean.

How To Get Rid Of Plastics?

 Plastics! How in the hell we have to get rid of plastic? That's impossible, right? 

What humans are made of? Our skin is simply like "plastic" that's why when we shower or take a bath, the water doesn't get inside our body unless if we drink the water. 

Plastics are made from oil. Where oil comes from? There are many sources of oil, it can comes from olive oil, canola, sunflowers, coconut, vegetable oil and other recycled material from plastics.

Almost everything in our world is made up of plastics such as your tupperwares, tumblers, plastic spoons, forks, cutlery, plastic plates, water bottles,juice containers, bottles of all kinds, food containers, toys, jewelries, shoes, slippers, boots, footwear, cooking utensils, furniture, housing materials, plastic balls, machines, devices, cellphones, phones, computers, modern gadgets, plastic bags, clothes, so many fabric and textiles are polyester inspired from plastics, plastic straws, plastic wares for restaurants and fast-foods, hospitals, schools and office supplies, medical supplies (syringes, IV bags, tubes, plaster, etc) some robots are part plastics, weapons, turf, plastic flowers, plastic cars and boats, plastic boxes and containers, plastic floating devices, plastic appliances, and so much more...

Anything, everywhere there are PLASTICS in our planet.

To get rid of plastics? It is impossible.

You can avoid or limit the use of plastics and you'll have problem. 

What's the alternative?  

There are many alternatives using paper instead of plastics. It is not as durable as plastic especially when it comes to using them as grocery bags. Using restaurant supplies: paper plates, paper cups, paper straws, bamboo chopsticks, anything would be paper! That would only mean the boom of pulp mills and saw mills and yes, the FOREST would be very in demand again. Aha!!

 

Lord Taita - The Warlock

 501 PAGES of WARLOCK. Finished reading it finally!! Wow! It took me 21 hours. OMG! What a shocking story of how Pharaoh passed their throne from heir to heir and then the throne had been taken and stolen by diabolical traitors who were cunning, wicked and evil wanting to be the new rulers and because they thought the past Pharaohs are not godly enough to rule. When Egyptians & Hyksos run in their bloods. A blood mixture of deep seated hatred, vengeance and what else could be running in their blood rage? The novel WARLOCK is almost historical on its account, as usual very descriptive, vivid and vibrant almost a motion picture while reading the whole story. How and why sisters & brothers, cousins are fighting bloody hell and how and why Taita also had to play the hard way to survive and be the "keeper of the Nile and the Kingdom of Egypt." Taita has to compromise with the false Pharaoh who gained the throne  after murderous treachery in order to keep alliance and save the right hand future Pharaoh. The battle between good and evil was simply introduced in this greatest novel of famous author Wilbur Smith.

 

What has been tackled in this novel is what WAR is all about. 

It's no difference to what war is going on in today's generation. 

WAR  is an invasion of land by force & because of too much excessive REVENGE & GREED FOR POWER.

Invasion and acquisition of land and its country's wealth. It involves massive deaths. It caused so much suffering, assault on women and children including the pregnant women, injury, famine, hunger, poverty, plagues, disaster and pandemic. Captured enemies are then used as slaves (or prisoners left to die if they have no used for them) or some of the strong men forced to employ in the regiment as lesser rank soldiers.

Sorting Out Clothes

 If you'll ask me what I'm doing everyday you'll just probably get bored of the same old routine of housework. At least last year since Sept 2023 I got sick, my husband and my daughter cooked our meals and I get the chance to cook only T/Th/S/S or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday. MWF is when I'm out of the house for very important matters. At least it's good to know that my husband loves being the Chef at home.

I had just finished my spring cleaning. I'm still waiting for hot weather temp. to be able to do something outside the yard for pressure washing and cleaning of the living room carpet and cushions for outdoor patio chairs. 

I was able to sort out of our clothes, keeping winter clothing inside the storage boxes and spring/summer clothing in the closet. We don't have a garage and spare room for those winter clothes + boxes of linens (bulky duvet, bed covers, comforters, curtains, blankets) so those 8 big boxes have to stay in the 2 bedrooms. I know, occupying too much space in our rooms.

We don't buy clothes anymore because too costly. Our clothes are still wearable, not really poor quality or looking like rugs. I mean why not we keep wearing them until they wont fit anymore. Yeah, being stingy eh? 

Look, living in today's world in this generation after the pandemic...had us thinking about not just being frugal but being economically thrifty. Stingy is the name of the game! Sorry! If you see me still wearing my old clothes they are worn so many times but they are washed, cleaned and dried with fabric softener in our laundry/drying machines. They all  looked good as new. 

UPDATE: My conscience's bothering me, so I have to sort out those clothes again and maybe give out few of those clothes to whoever likes them.

From Seventh Scroll to Warlock

 I'm done, finished reading THE SEVENTH SCROLL written by famous novelist Wilbur Smith. The story revolves around Dr. Royan Al Simma and her husband who was murdered by anonymous assailants who had stolen the Egyptian Royal artifacts and the ancient scrolls inscribed by the Royal adviser to the Pharaoh Mamose and Queen Lostris.

 Royan was an archaeologist paired with Nicholas in their fact-finding research of the artifacts in Ethiopia and obstacles upon obstacles happened without warning until they were deported and back to UK then to Egypt to keep on unearthing the tomb, relentlessly their great pursue had them created a dam, dive deep down through the lagoon and found a tunnel through the cave where they discovered more of the secrets. You think that was it without many challenges? Massacre, death and curses had so many cast of characters in this book had fallen to the trap of the Lord Taita. 

Taita, the humble eunuch, physician, smart royal adviser to the Pharaoh and his family, the clairvoyant, the philosopher, the embalmer.

Now I am starting the third book, WARLOCK. 

WARLOCK is written by Wilbur Smith.

Lord Taita, the Warlock.  

After the death of  Pharaoh Mamose, the death of the next Pharaoh Tamose, and the new Pharaoh of Egypt was hailed ... the Egyptians and the Hyksos thought Lord Taita had lived more than 200 years old and he is immortal. Is he?

What else to find out in this novel? A lot more because it is almost historical biblical in its account.

As usual this book is highly detailed, intensive, intensified and because it is a mystery and more secrets unfold can't help putting the book down. I want to keep on reading. 

 

 

The ALIENS Among Us

 SOMETIMES, don't really know why I am being a target. What do you think they want from me?

Do you think they want something from me that they don't have like information? And what kind of information they want? Who are they? Are they ALIENS?

Who they work for? What they want from me? 

Is what happening to me a "form of interrogation of something?"

It's weird, bizarre and very strange!

They should really work for SETI.

Underworld

 Do you like the movie UNDERWORLD?

If you do...somewhere along the way, there are actually people living underneath your world and they are like the "untouchables" and the "invisibles."

What is the true power of the underworld creatures?

That I don't know for sure but somehow they are respected in such a way that they also have a place in a society that they believe will protect them.

They have protectors. It's up to you to know or just ignore them for you don't really know who they are affiliated or associated with.

How to ignore them when it bothers your consciousness? That's what it is. For the meantime it is better to ignore them. For as long as you are safe and they don't interfere with your daily life then so be it.

Ghosted!

 This is when I'm fed up. All of a sudden my BP is low down to 89/78 (79) then somebody unexpectedly called that my BP went up so high. Just like that f'gas price.

In all fairness like to give them the benefit of the doubt. You know those people who worked for Health Care. In retrospection they have lives to live. I have my gracious respect for them. If I want to seek medical attention or need the help of doctors I would make an appointment. But you know...

 My parents worked for Health Care in Philippines until they retired. But never in anyway they are sales-talking about their work at the Military Hospital. My father the decorated soldier,  Chief Clerk, Medic for Red Cross and my mother the Civilian Nurse. They never talk about their work. I only have to  be curious about their occupations when I visit the hospital and used the hospital as my "library" or curiosity about the famous "White Lady." My mother's co-workers especially those high ranking military nurses asked my mother why I'm always there at the hospital? Why not? Ask why Tom Clancy was there when I'm there? You know...so weird. Truth is I also volunteered for work at the Orthopaedic ward. Then on Sundays, my family attends (ed) Catholic mass at the hospital chapel. The hospital is just walking distance to our home and the family garden which is half an acre within the hospital grounds. In the 70's our family lived at the basement of the hospital while our house was being built that's why that Army Station Hospital was my second home actually.

The White Lady whom the patients were so afraid of when they are ghosted. Really? I asked myself there's a ghost at the hospital? Hmm...curiosity...curiosity.

When I was confined there at the hospital for 3 days under observation, the right time and chance that I could see for myself the White Lady. It was blessing indisguised? LOL. It was actually a fun time for me those 3 days not enough. Oh, well didn't see the ghost. Unfortunately. I don't know how and why those patients have seen her. Who is she anyway?

From what I heard, the "White Lady" was a beautiful American nurse who hanged herself up on the ceiling of the Hospital. It was during World War II. That Military Hospital was built in 1912 in Fort William McKinley (Fort Bonifacio) by the Americans. It is adjacent to the Forbes Park for the wealthy Filipinos and foreigners. It is also near the American Cemetery. 

Because I was really enthusiastic to meet the ghost of the White Lady, I was almost there every day at the Hospital taking chances. Even during the Martial Law curfew hours where my father and other soldiers stationed in that hospital for Red Alert on patrol, me , busy reading all the newspapers (Manila Bulletin, Daily Express, Taliba, Time Magazine, Newsweek, JAMA, Panorama, Liwayway, National Geographic, Reader's Digest, journals, etc. etc. Told you that hospital is my library. But where's the ghost? I can't find her, she never show up.

All the while, heard that the White Lady is showing her ghostly presence at the front gate of American Cemetery.

My High School friends mostly girls went for a stroll at the American Cemetery which is almost like a park because of its sprawling wide space and healthy green bermuda grass lawn and those marble crosses perfectly arranged in such array in such a majestic formation. We walked on the bermuda grass without our shoes and white socks. Soft grassy lot. It was spectacular and the weather is very cooperative, airy, breezy and cool.  We tiptoed and played like kids, and run around. Read all the names inscribed on those marble crosses. Then we got tired and I laid down on the soft comfort of the bermuda grass, watching the wide blue sky and the formation of white clouds. It was so gorgeous but cannot help wonder those who died from the war thousands of them whose remains were buried underneath, so many of them died so young for their country. I felt such a grim predicament, pity and heartfelt sympathy for their sacrifices, made a solemn prayer and asked if somebody could give me a sign.

All of a sudden a tourist bus came in through the gate of the American Cemetery. From where we are we saw the passengers, all of them were girls wearing red Japanese kimonos, they all looked happy and giggling, laughing  at something. The bus stopped at the  building and we followed them. One by one, they entered the marbled wall washroom, there are marble sinks and marble counter tops. I went inside the washroom, my classmate used the other cubicle. But where's the Japanese girls? We can hear the laughter but where are they? We knew they entered the washroom! Wow! Vanishing act. lol

What happened? That's so weird!! OMG! I wont tell you what really happened. My classmates & I didn't talk about it since then. 47 YEARS AGO and I still think about those "ghosts" not just the White Lady.

The World Of Work

 According to the billionaire Elon Musk, you don't have to be a College graduate to be successful in life. So true! Look at Bill Gates & Mark Zuckerberg. They were College drop-outs!! 

However, do you know that Bill Gates & Mark Zuckerberg are born with silver spoon in their mouths?

That means you must have wealthy families to live with to provide all the means. Just like Elon Musk who happened to be fortunate for having a mother who is a fashion model and father who works for a mining company. Mining company! Do they own the boring machine that bores the under ground for tunnels?  Even if they didn't go to school their wealthy families could afford.

For poor kids to be able to graduate from Elementary, High School to College probably have financial help from wealthy relatives or scholarship grants from the good government. Actually there are too many public funded schools by the government. It is the University or College education that really need more funding because it is almost unaffordable. Too many recently graduates who are already in debts and some are bankrupt and finding employment seems extremely hard, because what's really in demand? The very in demand jobs are in health care. While when it comes to Sciences, you must be very smart as in "being a genius" would help. lol. Whatever!

You know what? During World War II and after World War II, higher education was really not a requirement. University education is not a requirement. Employers believed in experience. Experience is the best teacher. They trained those workers to learn the jobs so that they can be better in the category of work assigned for them. Learn by working at the workplace. It is their loyalty to their works and loyalty to the companies that they stay there until retirement at age 65. Low technology had them skilled in many skills and knowledge by acquiring it manually.

Where in the world where workers would rather stay in the company  (esp. in government sectors) for the rest of their lives? Only in Philippines. Why? They have complete comprehensive benefits.

In Canada, recently watched news on TV that a female politician Rachel Blaney will quit her job. Wow! That was uncalled for. She's still young! She's perfect for her job why she will resign? 

Just now: Brand new BILLION DOLLARS BUDGET FOR THE MILITARY. Well, it's about time. STRIPES get ready.

Egyptian History Twisted By The Wiseman

 Probably you are waiting for me to post the summary of RIVER GOD the novel of Wilbur Smith. Know what? I was about to post it but something out of the extraordinary forbid me to do that. I'm already finished reading the whole book from the very beginning to end. Page 1 to 528. Then the very last part with the "Author's Note"

RIVER GOD, the story of the slave Taita is a true story. What an incredible man Taita. Who is exactly Taita in our World History? Because I had read the previous books, he was actually one of the Magus. Tatlong Haring Mago? Wow! There are 3 WISEMEN known in Bible History. Is it Melchor, Gaspar or Balthazar? Who is Tanus and who is Queen Lostris in Egyptian History? Who is the real Pharaoh Mamose? The names of characters were changed by author Wilbur Smith. River God and the story of Taita is based from Egyptian Historical facts. 

RIVER GOD the novel is a masterpiece full of secrets and mysteries. I hate to divulge the secrets. You the reader could read and decipher them for your own perusal. 

 

I will start to begin reading the next book which is THE SEVENTH SCROLL.

By the way, are you ready to witness the next TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE? April 8, 2024 is one of the highlights of the Year 2024 YEAR OF THE DRAGON. Timely eh? Or chance?

More Fun In Reading

 Reading books and novels more fun than ever before maybe it comes with the age. Unlike when we are forced to read textbooks when we were in elementary, high schools and college. Reading books when we were young seemed so forceful. I know can relate to that  because it was kind of boring and a hindrance to playing outside with friends. Sometimes it was a barrier to what we have to watch on our television. School books are mostly boring except when it comes to Science textbooks or World History.

When I was five years old my favourite book was my brother's elementary book "Your Country and Mine." It was a green colored hardbound book. Then when I was 12 years old my favourite book was my sister's World History book by Gregorio Zaide. That textbook was for 4th Year High School. The textbook features all the countries in the world with their geography, demography, socio-economic aspects, politics, language, capital of the country, country's leader, history, population, flag, currency, photos, etc, etc. What I really like from the book was EGYPT.

 I don't know why my curiosity had that in me about the great pyramid of Giza at a very young age. Hmm, maybe because I watched an old movie about "The Tomb Of the Pharaoh" & the movie "The Ten Commandments" starring Charlton Heston. I think without Egypt we wont know the ancient story of the greatest story ever told about the Jews and Jesus for they preserved so many of the old, ancient archives of the Jewish history. You have to remember that  David and Joseph were Jews and they were Egyptians too. Moses was the baby Jew adopted by the Egyptian Princess. 

Anyway, started reading  RIVER GOD (last Monday) authored by famous writer/novelist Wilbur Smith. I was on page 375 last Wednesday and will continue to read on Friday. 

It was such a beautiful, incredible masterpiece novel almost historical, biblical, very detailed, descriptive, moving saga of Lord Taita together with Queen Lostris, Tanus, Pharaoh Mamose, and Prince Memnon.  Wilbur Smith is surely a master storyteller.

Inflation & Deflation

 OMG! I should not cook a storm. Look at what happened at springtime. Gheezwhiz! What is wrong? Are they kidding me?

Some kind of frost outside this morning. Snowstorm and power outage in Quebec. Anyway I could change the weather though. If the AI will cooperate. Ha ha ha!

Actually for the first time, our family didn't roast any turkey for Easter Sunday. No roast chicken either. We only had pancit noodles with chicken strips and shrimps and veggies in its combo, then stuffed squids, steamed rice and deep fried lumpia (springrolls). We baked blueberry/carrot/cinnamon muffins, loaves, and cinnamon buns for dessert. We have chocolate milk ice cream bars for my daughter. 

Inflation had us being frugal about foods. Nothing's so cheap anymore.

 What happened to the squid? The size of the squids had deflated after being grilled in the oven! lol

To tell you the truth there are foods that I should limit and must avoid. There are certain beverages that I should take only and avoid cola products but ginger ale and root beers ok.  I should also limit drinking milk. I was advised to drink almond milk but I'm allergic to nuts. I should not eat cheese and foods with cheese but cream cheese is okay. At least I can drink coffee. Drinking juice is now my healthy choice.
