It is not my business but is it really better to promote Philippine tourism by using movie stars or showbiz personalities from other countries?
The Philippines is already a popular and populated country and its natural resources, beautiful beaches, resorts, waterfalls, and its people's hospitality and kindness not racist a much talk about ingenuity and even without popular showbiz people to ask promote the country its not much of help really. It is just a gossip that some people are after. Its not really about promotion of tourism.
Look, you just posted beautiful spots, majestic scenery without people on it on social media or at your blogs people will wonder and dream of such panoramic views and of course they will want to see and reach those places no matter what. It's not about that somebody posted their bodies in bikinis or somebody with model figures and pretty faces that lure them to such dreamy place... its because of such panoramic scene or views that is the main attraction. It is what your eyes can SEE. It is not that those pretty faces or beautiful bodies that is the attraction of such place. Curiosity sometimes played the part.
Well, some people are born with different kind of genes. Some people are driven by those people whom they can see not the scene or views. If that's how you want or that's your motive for a holiday or vacation why bother go to such places? I mean, what is your motive or what is your goal? Like, why you want to see the wilderness? Why the jungles of Borneo? There is always a purpose right? Why that Boracay beach? There are too many beaches in Hawaii and with white sand beaches, why Boracay in Philippines? Tourists spots in Philippines are mostly crowded of its own people but its okay for tourists to spend their holidays in Philippines. Not my problem. The traffic on roads and highways OMG! How the hell and why the hell traffic is always a problem in Philippines even if they widen the roads and highways? Beating the odds not that easy. I don't know if its still super hot in Philippines when it comes to weather as in seeing those "brand new race of Filipinos" wearing sweat shirts and clothing intended for 15 degrees Celsius weather temp. How and why? The normal weather temperature in Philippines is above 24 degrees Celsius. Why some women like to post "almost nude" photos of themselves showing their almost "white bodies?" Maybe they are promoting swimming pools with chlorinated water. Maybe they are models for skin whitening products or bleaching creams. Or just that they are models for swimsuits. Or they are models for "photoshopped" or the magic of cropping. Too much lights and lighting in the studio where they were photographed. Try having photography inside the caves and you'll find out the difference of having lights or without lights.
There are many reasons why some people or tourists would like to go for vacation and most of the time they had chosen Mexico. Why Mexico? No movie stars or showbiz people promoting Mexico as the "GO for Holiday or tour to go in Mexico." Because Mexico is the country with so many thousands of beaches & resorts and a country where your $$$$ have so much greater value. You go to such places where you can avail of economically affordable foods, affordable hotels to rent with luxurious service. You visit places where your money is valuable and commodities are cheaper to buy. You don't go for a holiday in places where you are only one day millionaire and broke the next day.
If only showbiz people wanting to avail of such exotic places probably or possibility of chosen real topography or geography for the purpose of cinematography (not studio type). Many Hollywood film productions have chosen Vancouver BC as the choice for movie production or shooting its because for one thing U$ is higher in value than C$. British Columbia has its natural wonders of taller mountains, waterfalls, oceans, lakes, and rivers, lush greenery, evergreen trees courtesy of the wide forest and field of vegetation
and less populated by people compared to other countries and cities. Movies such as Star Wars, Stargate, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Rambo, tv series Fire Country and The Good Doctor are among those movies and television series produced in British Columbia.
