TGIF

I woke up to that very annoying sound from outside. I cannot figure out if that's the sound of an owl from the neighbor's chestnut tree or what kind of bird that is. I told my husband about it and he said that he heard that familiar sound too this morning and it came from a dove, from a turtle dove. ? really? I first thought the sound from an owl. Several years ago, it was the forest woodpecker waking me up at very early morning. lol. Woodpecker's loud pecking noise on the forest tree near the house where we lived in Evergreen. At least... in another community it's the barking of dogs and haunting sounds of wolves that keep them awake.

Last night, happened to watch the survivor contest entitled ALONE with $500,000 prize for the winner. There are 10 contestants in this contest and they have to stay in those small islands in Saskatchewan Lake. They are provided with tools and camera equipment to cover their entire stay for as long as they can make it to the top. Already two contestants tapped out and then two more contestants tapped out last night. After they had completed days of building their shelter and had eaten wild fowl animals and caught fish from the lake then they cannot handle some of the unforgiving minutes of loneliness, hunger, depression, and stomach pains, diarrhea and other malady. The contestants had their focus on using too much time and energy building their cabins and not enough time for hunting and fishing for food. It's being ALONE that lead them to tap out one by one. No man is an island. Anybody who can stay alone for more than a month in the wilderness without being sick, without going insane and still strong physically  and mentally capable of staying for the long process of the duration to the finish line is the winner of this contest. I don't know who'll win and hope that person deserves such huge amount of money.

I have to do some mending. Ha ha ha! Eko's duckie's need fixing.

Eko's been chewing this particular duck that is almost so worn-out have to fix it. Double stitches much needed.

Now, all his duck toys are ready for  catch and release.
