CARtoony Not Looney

Are you familiar with Miss Frizzle in THE MAGIC SCHOOL BUS?

If you are,  then some of the artworks will guide you to where the country side is. I know more artworks to see. At least it is not an ugly graffiti.

Anything that is "drawing" is more like cartoony. Okay?

If you are an impressionist painter like Leonardo Da Vinci or  the painters during the Reinassance period then so be it. I don't consider myself as Van Gogh anyway nor Leonardo. Every artist has his or her own style of artistry. I am not into abstract. I think even cat and dogs can paint abstract.

Don't get me wrong, I like cartoon characters like the Flintstones, the Looney Tunes characters, etc, etc.It 's not that easy to draw cartoons and make your work exactly like a carbon copy of the original.

Did you know that there are painters who cannot draw? They can only paint. You know what I mean? They let somebody else draw everything on canvas and then paint it with colors.

If you watch a versatile veteran painter Ross (on TV), he paints with a stroke of his brush on canvas like as if he is drawing. That means he is not just a painter but also can draw. Most watercolor painter, draw the object and subject for water coloring first on the medium of their choice.

You know that the artist is not much of a painter if you use magnifying lens to see some errors in their painting on canvas. Look at the works of Picazzo and Van Gogh. However, some curators may have been mystified of their paintings even if they kind of looked like done by Grade Schoolers. Sorry!

Look at my cartoony drawings here. More like "Elementary." LOL. It is carTOONy not Loony.

Happened to see the view of the farmlands thousands of acres of them along the Black Creek Agriculture Area to the route to the Forbidden Plateau (we didn't go there) it's just that from Jubilee Highway to the new Highway going to Courtenay was too busy for highway expansion and construction and option to drive along the farm lands better and convenient for the time being. I had seen plenty of cars FOR SALE along the roads and few boats for sale.  There is always constructions going on there. Looks like the Public Works and Highways have more funds eh? Acreages of farmlands dedicated to apple orchards, pears and other known fruits trees in that area. There is a grand plantation for canola, hays and feeds for farm animals. There were many grazing animals such as cattle, goats and sheep. It is probably nice to live there as the wide open space provides so much air and breeze. Then the Oyster River... too many people go there and I think it's the busiest river in Vancouver Island.

Well folks! Miss Frizzle (aka MB) had us for a great afternoon field trip spin. Thanks!
