December 30, 2022 & The Next Days To Come

 Today is the death anniversary of Philippine's National Hero Dr. JOSE P. RIZAL. Every year his birth and death anniversary being celebrated for the sake of all Filipinos who were inspired of his martyrdom, heroism and intelligence. Every Filipino is very proud of his legacy, accomplishments and his life works and writings still a basic fundamental subject in many schools and universities in Philippines. 

In Canada, where the UNKNOWN SOLDIER - THE HERO is also being celebrated every year during Veterans Day and Memorial/Remembrance Day. Nobody knows the "Unknown Soldier" who he is, where he is from and what he really did but the unknown soldier was immortalized in that special tombstone in Canada together with the War Veterans from World War I & II and succeeding wars after.

What's the difference? 

Christmas is being celebrated time and time again, every year. JESUS CHRIST the SON OF GOD was born and the Savior, the Redeemer is the "Lamb Of God" that take away the sins of the world.

Today is the 30th of December 2022 and only a day to behold and it's already NEW YEAR 2023.

Will you jump and dive to the cold waters of the beach near you for Polar Bear Swim?

Will you jump at the strike of 12 midnight to start the fireworks so that you can grow few inches to be taller than your friends?

Will you wear polka dots clothes to make sure that you'll have abundance of everything from money, food, clothing and all material things?

Do you have New Years resolution, make a list.

Will you make loud noises so that your New Year's the best, loudest, outrageous, happy and one of a kind?

Will you gather round the table and have delicious, feast of foods as if having more food on the table to welcome the New Year is much better than the foods at Christmas? Some families cooked more food in abundance for the New Year rather than for Christmas.

Will you put money and coins in your clothes pocket so that it could mean prosperity for the whole year? Weird right?

There are many superstitious beliefs regarding the welcoming of New Year, however, you have to be cautious in using fireworks, firecrackers and other blasters to welcome New Year. If you don't know how to use firecrackers, leave it to the veterans and  better just settle for mini-sparklers. 

LIFE GOES ON. Whether you like it or not YEAR 2023 will come sooner than later.
