Sweet & Delicious Apples

It was mid-September of 2023, my sister Emmy and her family were in the Philippines for a vacation. While my sister and I were chatting over FB, she asked me to go to their home and harvest some of the ripe apples at their front yard.

So, off we went to their house, to their yard and snapped photos first of the apple trees. A lot of apples on those branches of two healthy trees. Half of them were ripe and few apples still not good for picking yet. Husband picked those apples that were too far for me and daughter to reach. He's taller of course. While Echo, our cute dog had so much fun excitedly smelling the apples that were on the ground. When apples are too ripe they just fall on the ground.

We had so much fun actually! My oh my, it's good to have apple trees for the time being.

Too small, maybe another month of waiting.

We only had chosen to pick apples that are ripe enough, The small ones are crab apple variety I think, not sure but they are ripe already and bigger sizes are Spartan apples.

Few of those apples were eaten fresh and the rest of them were baked into apple crisp for dessert and made into apple salad.
