Our kind of meals just variation of what is best for that particular day. If I'm craving for rolls then I will deep fry eggrolls or springrolls.
It's really good to have something stored in the freezer as in ready to deep fry anytime.
Once a month hamburger with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustard and fries. When we feel like going out for A&W, husband would rather grill burger at the convenience at home. Cheaper! lol
Shrimp/carrot curry.
Fresh grapes for dessert.
Dessert or for snack: Blueberry/carrot cinnamon cake.
This is when I'm tired of baked salmon with mayo or salmon with onions and lemon squeezy, lol. I panfried the salmon first then sauteed it with garlic, onions and add bokchoy and add a cup of water with oyster sauce and presto a flavourful salmon for dinner. Just for myself because my family not into this type of viand.
I know there is not much to choose from nowadays. Unless maybe if you go for potluck where everybody in your friend's circle would bring their favorite dish to enjoy by the group. Different variety to choose from. Cuisines from different cultural group.
What we usually have at home are actually homemade, not bought or ordered from restaurants.
Hey, so glad that so many of you patronize restaurants and fast food businesses. They do really need loyal customers especially at this crucial times.
I hope the price of supermarket products, fresh produce, dairy, meat and everyday foods for families will finally be lowered to "affordable."
Tightening the belts of every family is like questioning, are you eating dogs and cats? lol J/K
