JUNE 12 is PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY. Happy day of course in Philippines only if you are a true Filipino blood celebrating your country, your nation as truly loyal patriot with courage and dignity.
Philippine Independence happened first time after the Spaniards surrendered to the Americans in 1898. After that Philippines was under the guidance of the Americans in setting up a new Government with new Philippine President Emilio Aguinaldo. People questioned why not Gat Andres Bonifacio instead which is the Leader of the KKK which is a Filipino war revolutionists. KKK in Philippines is different from US KKK (Klu Klux Klan). Emilio Aguinaldo was a high ranking officer in the military and belong to a wealthy family that's why and he was very educated. Andres Bonifacio was from middle class family.
Usually in Philippines a country's leader must belong to a well to do or affluent family and clan able to provide the financial aid to govern a huge government. This is based on old ancient tradition before the Spanish Conquest wherein the head or leader of the Barangay was a Datu or Chieftain who owned large tract of lands and able to provide the basic needs of the people in designated area. Meaning their wealth was used to provide employment in rice field, coconut plantation, fishing village, building houses and bridges and other infrastructure. Taxes paid by the people are unheard of just that every people in the village or barangay must work according to their skills and be of help to everybody.
NOW IN OUR TIME. Where you think Presidents and Prime Ministers get their FUND or BUDGET to govern the humongous Government?
Usually its from the TAXES PAID BY TAXPAYERS. Have you studied that in Schools & Universities? Can you just imagine of the taxes those millionaires & billionaires pay every year? That alone could make the whole country happy, convenient and contented. MILLIONS OF POPULATIONS in every country, the middle class pay taxes and GST & PST alone are contributors to Canada's wealth. To think that there are only 40 million population of people in Canada. Looks like no problem in European countries. Why USA has the highest budget deficit? What went wrong? Every American also pays their goods and services taxes that alone could make billions of budget from 350 million population unless of course their investments in other countries are not paid or cannot be paid by those war torn countries.
Then I saw this meme message from a journalist.
WHAT BILLIONAIRES & CORPORATIONS do anyway? Let us be FAIR & JUST. So many of those BILLIONAIRES are contributors to LOOPHOLES & DONATIONS they brought sometimes anonymously to certain designated Institutions charitable or not. What are those INSTITUTIONS? Hospitals, Universities, Food Banks, Health Care, Foreign Aid, Border Security, NASA, RESEARCH works, and few of them sponsored SCHOLARS, Indigenous people.
Remember the Millionaire who provided 99 free homes to the Homeless? He's only a millionaire not a billionaire. How a millionaire can do something like that? What and how a billionaire would ever provide?
What BILL GATES can provide with his billions of dollars? What Zuckerberg, Bezo and Elon Musk can do with their billions of dollars.
