Imagine yourself you are an astronaut and then you returned to earth after your voyage in space and found that the people living in your planet are mostly apes who can talk and they are the superior beings and few inhabitants who are humans but they cannot talk. It seems to me that these apes where the first ones to grab the "apples which represent the fruit of knowledge in the Garden of Eden." Wow!
I can relate to the leading character of this old, old movie of Charlton Heston. In this movie he can talk and he can fight but he was used as an "experiment" by the two scientists who are amazed of his incredible knowledge. The female ape who defended the astronaut for further experimentation were not listened to by judges who were also apes. That being ape do not lead to women being heard in court. Anyway, Charlton Heston's character/role/part had him escaped the village of the apes and was able to discover that there are living humans inside the rubbles underneath the huge building hidden through the boulders is the city but damaged from earthquake maybe or what could be that disaster that struck the city. Whatever, the story is > male humans with superior intelligence would rather kill themselves or die rather than be paired with apes.
Thank God it's FICTION!
