Human Migration

What a grand celebration for the 150th birthday Canada Day. For Canadians it was the happiest celebration ever because their country has reached grand, great milestones, so many things and historical events happened in the past 150 years. A historical event for old Canadians and for those old immigrants who migrated here away from the countries where they were oppressed and immigrants who suffered atrocities, bullying and racism in their own countries and now found peace of mind and safe security in a new found land Canada. Canada is their greener pasture and melting pot.

I had seen so many documentaries of new immigrants who immigrated here in Canada and they were nostalgic and emotional, most of them. Televisions are the windows and doors  of all these people who partake in their stories being broadcast to public. Everyone has a story to tell and relate to. Some stories are funny, sad, unforgettable, several stories were war-torn related and some stories hard to believe but it's okay to listen to anyway.

Now what's new? Is it payback time? You as immigrants and refugees who found a new land to live must now work and not be of a burden to the country that accommodated all of you. I know, it's not all bed of roses and sweet nothings. I myself, married to a true Canadian born and raised here and having children who were born here, I should not live and stay here in Canada as a burden to this land whose head of Government is the Queen of England. Everyone must WORK and pay taxes on goods and services imposed by the Government. Can't work? Volunteer! Do something amazing! But I didn't advice you to bungee jump or do the scuba diving. I didn't even ask you to sky dive. Follow the rules and regulations. Follow the rules and law of the land. You are not here on this land to be spoiled brats. Do good things and be of help to the country that help you stand up as humans. If you become a Canadian citizen don't over do it or do not react as if you are higher than those who are originally born here. Have some sense of humility and don't act arrogant as if you owned the land. Be kind to the indigenous people because they are originally the first inhabitants of Canada.

Who are the FIRST NATIONS anyway? Canada is only 150 years old. Philippines is already over 500 years old. Philippines is older than America.  The birth of the nation and the birth of another nation can be sum up as humans who migrated from the Old World to a New World. In other words, old Canadians, the indigenous people were actually Filipinos. It's HISTORY PEOPLE!

Now who wants to change the world and who wants to change HISTORY?
