The World of Insects

I don't feel like blogging today and yesterday simply because it's really, really hot and blogging is suicide when in front of a hot computer on hot, hot summer days. Remember the dead dragonfly that was on the window sill the other day?

Guess what, another dragonfly was seen on the glass window trapped in between the blinds and the glass window and it stayed there for as long as it likes.

 I tried to take the dragonfly away from the hot window but it pushed itself to the higher part of the window and I need a long stick to take it out. However the dragonfly stayed there for more than an hour until it doesn't move anymore. I asked help from my son Ty and he was able to let the dragonfly away from the window and it flew on the ceiling and I was able to catch it with my hand. Then my son yelled, " Stop Mom! Don't touch it and let it go." He doesn't like me posting it on the internet either because people might get angry. What? Why people will get angry? OMG! Who are these people who are angry at people posting dragonflies? What's wrong with you people? Don't you eat animals? Do you eat dragonfly? Maybe the cat likes dragonfly for food. Or the birds like dragonfly for food. Birds eat all insects of all kinds. Most insects are harmful especially if they became "swarm" and menace to farmers' crops. Dragonfly is an insect. It's a harmless insect. Probably before the metamorphosis dragonfly or butterfly as a larvae and caterpillar/worms hurt all the leaves of the vegetables you have in the garden.

The dead dragonfly I posted the other day was dead on the spot when I saw it on the window sill. I don't know if it was the insect that followed Fred, the cat who is staying at our couch the whole day beside the window. Right, Fred stayed the whole day on the sofa laying and resting in our living room. I asked him if his master is looking for him but he didn't say a word because his napping too much. Sleeping like a log. Then there are two dragonflies suddenly flew inside the house, one is bigger than usual. I tried to catch it so that I can take a picture of it. You know how long that one dragonfly? It was a 3 inches long (only the tail) (the head is 2 inches long) dragonfly and that was a rare find, it is unusual to have seen such big dragonfly. No picture on that big dragonfly because it flew away in just seconds not minutes. Darn! You wont know what happened within a glance when Fred is here. The cat is more than a magician I think. But no illusion or optical illusion and hallucination happening here because we are normal people with normal sharp eyes and visions. But you know some other people always want to see things and evidence to see the invisible and invincibles are truly a matter of who witness such supernaturals.

Anyway, I took the dragonfly that got away from the window trapped from the blinds and let it stay at the bean plants. It's alive. Let the blue dragonfly fly it wings when its ready but I will shoot more photos for my photography session.

I wonder if dragonflies have the same metamorphosis life process just like butterflies.

I know such a beautiful insect and if the dragonfly dies then it's a misery for insect lovers. I don't know what those entomologists will think about people who are angry when they see dead dragonflies.
