Who Knows. Who Knew?

I cleaned the dining table and cleared of all the books, documents, staplers (3 of those staplers in black, pink, grey colors). Agenda books out, coffee mugs out, all what's left on the dining table are the laptops: 3 of them). Three laptops, we don't use it everyday or one laptop use per day. If I'm not using my laptop have to unhook it from the socket. Plug the cord only when in use. It's good to be thrifty. Electricity is very expensive. I was about to set my sewing machine and starts with my new project then suddenly alarms were heard. Siren...loud siren at the highway. What could be happening? Emergency alert? road accidents again? Then all of a sudden, the lights were off, computer's down and there was this stillness of peace and quiet. My son Justin came out from his room, quietly he came to the kitchen not saying a thing and opened the fridge and got something to drink. Then my daughter came out from her bedroom and was a bit quiet and restless not saying a thing. I think there was a power outage. Blackout! Why?

The weather is cooler at about 19 degrees Celsius. It's not hot outside. However 19 degrees C.  is not that really cold. There must be something wrong with the thermostat or the gadget for weather temperature inside/outside. Anyway, my son Justin tutored his sister on her computer. Justin learned computer programming and computer animation and graphic arts in schools. Mostly creative arts.

A one hour blackout feels uncomfortable eh? Especially if there's no storm and no calamity. What could be the cause of power outage? is that sort of a test? Do you have generators?

We have generator but that was old already. Maybe it's better to invest a new generator just in case. Autumn starts on September 23, 2019 and I think Fall will start earlier than what previously forecast.
Fall & Winter time is what families in Canada usually have to think about. It is costly to live in Canada because of these two coldest seasons. You've got to have  stocks of non-perishable food, emergency kit (medical kit, flashlights, gasoline, matches, candles, firewood, gas stove, sleeping bags, tents, sleeping bags, can openers, radio, batteries, ax, gas powered power tools, hunting knives, snowblower, snow plow, shovels, snow suits and winter jackets, thermal sweaters, winter boots,  thermal socks and gloves and toques + not to forget clean/safe bottled water). Most important investment is a 4x4 truck with reliable snow tires. A heavy, durable brand new 4 snow tires are costly $ 2,500- $4,000. How much is a generator? The cheapest, smallest  generator is probably $150. Who knows?

The power outage during the last winter storm caused hydro to shut off its power to 150,000 homes in B.C. That, it's better to  always be prepared.

School starts on September 3, 2019 after Labor Day. Prepare your kids this coming school year and hope they learn so much from their teachers. For College students? It's okay to be accompanied by your father or mother for the enrollment. Nothing's wrong with that. I think it's good for the educators to know your parents to have better understanding of students who are registered to join their ranks. On being independent, it is when you have to apply for work that you don't need the companionship of your parents. Work is when you have that independence that what you are doing is according to your own skills and conscience.
