25% US TARIFFS officially imposed on Canada, Mexico & China's products. Officially take effect on February 4, 2025.
That also include 25% Tariff from Canada to USA. Retaliatory tariff tax. Do you think that also include GST & PST?
Wow! That's wow!! Who will really suffer on those exorbitant unjustified taxes? Those 3 countries above and the United States of America.
Why Americans will suffer too? They have to pay more for those imported products.
Who's happy with the result? Probably Elon Musk. In the news: Musk is interested in the US Federal System of Payments. He wants another PAY PAL? lol. Huh? Really? Why? This is weird already! Two newscasters at CNN tackled that info yesterday.
Thinking about taxes in Canada: the PST (7%) & GST (5%) . The Canadians and all residents of Canada, including tourists will pay 12% on all goods and services with exception > Foods.
Recently, Canadians and its residents don't pay 5% to goods and services (on certain products) until February 20, 2025. Nobody complained about 12% taxes because sometime in the 90's we paid 14%. But the economy and high standard of living is affordable. The forestry, mining, sawmills and pulp mills in BC were at its greater heights. ECONOMY was so great! However, that changed after the Millennium of year 2000. High technology, Microsoft had dominated high technology and so many businesses went bankrupt. Pres. Bush blamed Bill Gates for such inconveniences.
Then some other blamed it on GLOBAL WARMING.
Canada's economy rose up under PM Stephen and Flaherty team.
Next after is just a kick in the bucket...
Anyway, everyday is getting weirder, strange and mysterious.
