PASALUBONG FROM PHILIPPINES: Buko Pie, Pili nuts, Pkg of Habhab noodles, Ding Dong Mixed Snacks, Ube Macapuno Hopia, Red Beans Hopia, Pkg of Crab & Corn Soup, Cafe Barako.
The images above, are "pasalubong" from my Sister Emmy & brother in law Romy when they arrived from one month vacation from Philippines. Ding Dong's yummy even if there's so much garlic in it. GARLIC? he he he! That's great to thwart away aswangs, kapre, vampires, goblins and bad spirits. Great for snacks! 😁
The ube-macapuno is of course sweet and delicious.I haven't tried the rest of the snacks and the noodles maybe I will cook it on Thanksgiving Day, combine it with Farkay noodles and vermicelli. The crab/corn soup... I was able to have this special soup when I was in Philippines. Yummy of course!
The apples what to do about it? Lorne cannot find his recipe book for Apple Crumble. The recipe book was missing for several days now. We searched for it but we cannot find it. He will just look for another recipe thr. the internet.
Another day, another ... whatever!
The last of the piece of salmon was baked with lots of onions and butter. Salmon is great with steamed jazmine rice. Lorne took the skin out from the salmon.
Today's menu is up to the chef today. Not my turn to cook today.
I hope better days ahead, much much better weather and please have some good news out there.
