MYSTERY IN THE SEAL

 

For whatever reason I love Chinese or Japanese Art. I found it is convenient to draw their landscaping or the kind of scenery they have. 

I'm a Filipina, the Filipino art should be easier right? Check Amorsolo's painting and you'll know that planting rice and the rice field and the farm setting is more complicated than Japanese & Chinese art.

The scenes are much better to draw and paint. The human faces and drawing of animals... then you have to concentrate about it. It requires lot of skills for certain designated subjects and objects.

I had drawn "The Seal of California" before and the first artwork has not been colored yet.

I think the first drawing is much, much better. The profile face of the "Roman soldier" was drawn almost similar to the original. The second drawing looked like somebody else's. lol. The bear here looks healthier, younger and chubby. 

? Roman soldier? In California? I first thought California was conquered by the Spanish conquistadors. Why the soldier wore a Roman outfit? Thinking about religious pilgrimage... the exploration of native lands long, long time ago had something to do with the propagation of Christianity that's why in California were the ancient buildings of monastery and churches to include the many wineries for which wines were used in the holy ceremony on Sunday Mass.

Oh well, I can change things according to my own whims and wishes because I am the artist or the ones who draw (not the original seal duh!)

Hey, do you think I can change the weather today? It's only 9 degrees Celsius this morning. Do you like sunshine today? 

And suddenly the sun shines... lol.
