I AM A FILIPINA by heart, in my mind born in the Philippines and because I am married to a White Canadian have to live here with him and with our Canadian born children in Canada. I always want to go home in the Philippines with my family to live there for good so that my children have to be educated there instead. I tried to ... twice when my children were only age one year old and the twins 6 months old. Then we returned to Canada and then went back home again in Philippines so that my eldest son could start his first education, we thought we better live there but my husband don't like that idea. He doesn't like going to Philippines every year after year to see his family. It was a very difficult decision that I have to live in Canada. I am not struggling with the language or the environment the struggle is having three children and both of of me and my husband are working. Day care is costly! I had to stay at home but it was answered when my husband became a landlord/manager for a 31 unit townhouse and one apartment with 20 tenants plus 2 houses for reno and maintenance. I don't have to leave the house to work, we live in that townhouse and work is within that complex building. So I must say, that was really good as we managed those townhouse and apartment, the yard and everything for a span of 24-26 years.
Years happened so fast and so swift and all my children are grown ups. A lot of memorable happenings had happened. Housing is now almost unaffordable everywhere, anywhere in Canada.So many buildings, condominiums, apartments, houses are being built but so many of them are empty because they are unaffordable to many people from all walks of life. Wildfires, floods became the most unforgiving major disaster of destroying so many lands, forest and housing facilities in Canada. Some wildfires the cause of destroying the whole city or community within BC, Alberta, in parts of Saskatchewan and Manitoba. So unbelievable. When I heard of the un-housed or homeless people in Victoria, or within the city where I live I thought at first if its true or not have to see it for my self. But if its in the NEWS on TV maybe it's true.
NOTE: You are probably thinking that majority of Canadians are POOR! TRUTH is they are well endowed, rich people HOWEVER if majority or major SOURCE OF INCOME FOR MOST CANADIANS are closed or shutdown such as the PULP MILLS, the MINING INDUSTRY, THE SAWMILLS & FORESTRY what do you think will happen? What's left out there for educated Canadians to work on? The Health Care Industry? Well its because when population had been terrorized and tormented by those politicians with "motives" other than for personal purpose the rest of the population struggled and became victims of poor health. Yeah, the repetition of old history of the GREAT DEPRESSION lingers in our present generation. With the TARIFF THREAT that's added burden.
It's true that the Housing is truly costly in our time, in our generation you can find that out by checking Craiglist. The cheapest price for 3 bedroom is now C$2,500-C$3,000/month!!!!!! That's so unbelievable, and they are not even brand new houses. What the hell?!
The only solution is for the GOVERNMENT to build BC Housing that ordinary people can afford below C$2,000/month otherwise, you will have millions of people living on tents in the next five years. The only option? Some families live in motels and hotels.

Happy to read a blog from Hawaiian blogger about the hundred thousands of Filipinos in Hawaii and they are the largest dominant ethnic group there. GREAT! So many Filipinos are members of US NAVY, US ARMY & the US ARMED FORCES and so many members of the US HEALTH CARE and dependents of them live there for so many years. Filipinos are actually the native Hawaiians that you don't know. FBI EDGAR HOOVER was part Filipino. Filipinos are the Brown Americans during the WORLD WAR II.
And at present time when America is largely populated by undocumented Venezuelans and they cannot be deported because of Maduro, do you think it is right for the Americans to take the oil from Venezuela to feed the Venezuelans in the USA?
