There are new television series and many television reality shows at present time. How about the new Canadian BIG BROTHER? Do you like that TV Show that deals with punishment? It seemed that most reality shows deal with interesting punishment. Sometimes, you might think that it's not really a competition but probably sort of punishing these group of young vivacious young men and young women. If its a punishment what do you think they violated to be rewarded with such ordeal.
Whatever! In SURVIVOR series, the same kind of punishment is applied before the competitors are rewarded. I think if you want to compete with SURVIVOR you must watch "The Bridge On The River Kwai" first, perhaps watch the many episodes of Survivor series or "The Lost."
AMAZING RACE is worse. I mean the competitors have to run a race using different travel exposure to different countries (travel using different vehicles of means of transportation). They are asked to do something that other ordinary people wont do because it's risky. Climbing up a steep mountain with solid rocks below, ziplining, skydiving, jumping from the bridge, climbing up a tall building, eating scorpions and worms and insects, scuba diving, lifting and carrying heavy stuff. Answering trivia questions and many death defying stunts. I think when the prize is worth $1 MILLION DOLLARS the tasks are out of this world. It means you can't and won't earn such million dollars in your life time unless if you are already a millionaire or your ticket won in the lottery business.
However, there are worst than worse when you discovered that FEAR FACTOR is an action packed reality show and don't know how much these people are rewarded to do those mind boggling stunts, too risky for ordinary humans. It could be that they are the "would be stuntmen and stuntwomen who are into regular practice of skills for movie and tv production. Or could it be that they are training exercises for NAVY SEALS.
If you're not into this adrenaline rush, better wait for MASTERCHEF CANADA. Less pressure. Less tension and you get to educate in the Culinary Arts.
