WISDOM

 I was once in a classroom full of  "geniuses" and although it's not that easy or convenient for me to reply or answer to tough questions I have to answer them calmly. I know the answers to such question because I tackled them to my blogs long time ago.

I remember way back then when I suggested to my son that he should take "teaching" in College and be the teacher or professor at least instead of taking a "long course to study about environment."

He told me, "Mom, you don't know what and how it feels to be in a classroom in Canada." So true. I know. Have you seen the GOLDBERGS' show? There is that Beverly the helicopter mom who butts in everywhere her kids and what they are up to? All the moms in the world should be just like her.

Look, I'm not bragging when I informed you readers that I was a student-teacher in my class when I was in Elementary School. I was in charged for at least one week to take over the class and became the substitute teacher when my teacher was sick. The school Principal was sick too (Mrs. U.) and the Vice-Principal Mr. G took over in daily routine of classroom inspection, he asked me if our class of 50 students need a substitute teacher instead but the whole class said no because I was taking over the class because I was the President of the Homeroom. I took over and the lesson plans and the subject has been tackled for the whole week. We had our quizzes, oral report and daily practices. The agenda of daily needs for students to learn and master are met. I have a Staff who are in their best behaviour and doing their tasks properly. I have Vice President, Secretary, Sgt. at Arms, Treasurer, P.R.O. Auditor. Each one has a task to do. It's not easy when there is one or two who opposed to my role as President of the Class but those two were pacified by my 2 Sgt.at Arms who were in charged for security and peace inside the Class Room. ELEMENTARY. That's how discipline is created and that's how we learned the basics, the basic fundamental value of education, respect, social interaction, policies, the rule of law in small community called "school." It was during the MARTIAL LAW period that's why the students are more disciplined and complied to the rule of law even in schools. LEARNING BECOMES THE NORM. And we are sons and daughters of soldiers that's why tough discipline is just way easy to comprehend and understand.

Can you do this educational concept or method in Canada or in the US? I don't know. Maybe the system of education here in Canada is different due to large divide or diversity of different humans beings of different culture, religion, language, beliefs, psychological impact of those students from war torn countries being schooled in the same environment where locals are schooled. Or OVER THE SKY is actually not the limit in acquisition of  Higher Education because Education in Canada is ROCKET SKY HIGH and STRATOSPHERE is maybe the final limit to such destination. While the rest of the underdeveloped countries and developing countries are laughing out loud because they can pass anything smoothly. Simply because they don't have rockets! In the true meaning of such statement? They don't have to compete with robotic machines. Teachers always help their students SUCCEED.

One factor I observed was when students of Grade One & Two are placed in one class room without divider. Grade One facing the blackboard with their teacher while the teacher talks about the subject and Grade Two students facing the other side of the room with their teacher and assistant teacher having their own lesson plan.  Imagine of the class room size. Grade One has 10 students and Grade Two has 20 students. Can you manage the noises inside the room without divider? Oh, you think it's the Stock Exchange company employees shouting the stocks and yelling at each other non-stop? For the teacher to express her anxiety over the situation is well, it's true that was tough and her problem of having kids with developmental problems? Who wont be at peace or who in his right mind or her right mind to do the task of being a teacher in such "environment?" Chaos. Poor kids having to suffer to such "experiment" of being observed for such task. Poor kids being in such situation in just one room, how they can concentrate with their study? Weird! Teachers always into behavioural inspection, recording of students thoughts and actions, always observing students. What teachers have to do? Teachers, you have to TEACH! For God sake! You are not there as babysitters. The role of teachers in schools. ? If you failed as a teacher, remember your students failed because of you.

IF STUDENTS FAILED, BLAME THE TEACHERS!

And that's one of the reasons why so many schools had shut down because of many lawsuits.

What happened in High Schools and in University? HS is probably not designed for a CARRIE movie. High Schools in Canada are much disciplined in a way that fit all complexities and achievements and UNIVERSITY? OMG! Anybody who is accepted in University in Canada is probably highly achiever. So many of them are working students and when you are already working while studying your work  ethics and maturity has finally helped you in so many ways. You are more experienced than those non-working students. You are ahead of those non-working students. You value your time, money, and you know what works best for your well being. Setting your priority on what works best. 

 

Some people study to learn and then search for work after graduation. That's the usual mentality. If you are working already earning minimum wage of $15/hour which is good but not good enough that's the reason why some human beings have to finish their College or University Education so that they can at least raise their status, raise their voices, raise the bar, raise their wages, raise their competitiveness and skills? Most skills are actually applied in the workforce not in Schools not in University. Experience and skills are to be applied while working at work. Or you can teach your teachers and professors to seek wisdom.

LOGIC. WISDOM. Sometimes, you cannot learn logic and wisdom from any schools and universities. You cannot buy logic and wisdom either, anywhere.
