Chili Beans For Father's Day

 Chili beans for Father's Day!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

There's nothing that you can do if that's what best for the breadwinner of the house. The father of my 3 children would rather have chili beans, spicy and hot!

He's the chef for the day and he gets what he wants. Everybody loves chili beans except my daughter who opted for something else. That's why he also cooked steamed jazmine rice and I cooked pork adobo with eggplant and okra.

Simple meals for Father's Day eh?

For our dessert > Chapman's Collection - almonds milk chocolate ice cream bars.

Why the simple meal when its supposedly special meals should call for great celebration? My husband is a simple man. He doesn't like going to restaurants to dine in. He likes going shopping for groceries, he likes shopping alone to get the best priced items. He is that very thrifty. FOOD is very important in our home. He wont starve us for sure.

We may live in an inexpensive house to live but he doesn't like us starving for food. Never. Never even if there's inflation.

Besides, it is easy to cook anyway well only if all ingredients are available.

Easy to stir-fry : Sliced beef with broccoli, onions and spices + oyster sauce

Easy to cook spaghettini-macaroni shells with corned beef, red bell peppers, tomatoes.

Easy to boil mussels and baked mussels with two types of cheese (cheddar & mozarella) with spring onions and other spices.

Everything's easy if you know how to cook. Sometimes you can learn cooking and baking just from watching through TV cooking show or segments or watching You Tube cooking styles of those famous and not so famous chefs and cooks.

If that's not enough, hold on to recipe book or recipe from your grandma or mother and follow instructions on how some specialty cuisines are cooked to perfection.
