Traditionale Dr. Oetker pizza for lunch, easy convenient to have for lunch meal. The frugal ways have pizza for lunch. Why not? Being thrifty is the way of life now.
Thinking about something to cook for dinner. Always that problem of what to cook, what recipe, what menu? Because don't like eating the same kind of food everyday without variation that's why. Boring right?
My husband is retired. Now he knows how I felt when I was the lone cook at home doing the planning, preparation and cooking while he worked to earn a living.
I know every Mother has that plan or budget in everyday cooking. What to cook and what the family of fuzzy, choosy eaters want for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Truth is I have a recipe book, at least 2 books and had few of those recipes added to my culinary knowledge. Baking those cakes and pastries not to my liking because they are hard to make on a budget. You might as well buy already baked cakes and pastries and you save time, energy and money. I mean it is cheaper to buy those cakes than buy the ingredients to bake such lavishly expensive cakes.
Then all of a sudden I was craving for crabs with coconut milk.

Darn it! Who can afford a crab worth $17 /lb (small size) -$24 each? That's why a crab sandwich is now worth $30 at least.
It's now the 3rd day of GST 5% OFF on few grocery/ baby products/ wine/beer/ restaurant/fast-food/ and few other non essential items. Don't hear complaints yet from consumers but complaints from retail outlets because it would be confusing for so many of them. Two months of confusions and some of them are pissed off.
NOW YOU KNOW how bad is paying taxes for every product including carbon tax and for services are also taxed. Paying taxes for buying new homes, and paying taxes even for old cars & boats that's been taxed first when it was bought new. It's already been used thousands times why you have to pay taxes for something that's been used? The value had been depreciated. Then the problems of repair might be in the loom.
I studied ECONOMICS. We the students of Economics in the 80's don't have Accounting subject in University but we have Calculus in an Engineering Class. Our accounting subject had to be personal as learning it through the making of THESIS. What you will learn from ACCOUNTING is anything that is depreciated through the years don't need to be taxed. NO TAXES IMPOSED FOR something that is old, used and depreciated.
YES YOU CAN TAX SOMETHING THAT IS DEPRECIATED & DEVALUED BECAUSE OF GREED or just that they tried to cheat you because you don't know basic accounting.
How pissed are the Premiers of every provinces in Canada that they have to pay TARIFFS (taxes) once they exported their products to USA? Do you feel now how THE PEOPLE OF CANADA FEEL ABOUT TAXES? Got that same feeling?
It's just that 25% TARIFF is OVER THE LIMIT. THAT'S VERY UNFAIR. If its only 5% to 10% TARIFF that could be fair but not fair enough. Do you know how much would be if the export is about product worth MILLIONS OF DOLLARS? Most exports to USA are in Millions of dollars.
Let say the product is worth C$1,000,000 then the tariff would be C$250,000. NO PROFIT for such export you know. You might as well not try to export such product. But if USA pays for 12% PST & GST?
SOLUTION? CANADA can export products to other countries and let them deal with USA's tariff. No export to USA unless if each STATE defies the Trump's tariff. EACH STATE must have each own trade policies just like each State defies abortion rights. How about you guys try BARTER? LOL.
ASK why Filipinos in PHILIPPINES DO NOT PAY TAXES? Most of the products are produced in Philippines. Let say textiles (fabric is so cheap in Phils.) are affordable because too many textile manufacturing industries, cotton mills and raw production is visible. TRADE & INDUSTRY among neighboring countries are much appreciated and simply because labor is cheap. CHINA is in the same situation where there's no taxes to be paid on every product. They have mass production of almost everything.
