SATURDAY SATURDAY... Saturday. What to do today depends on my kind of mood. Weather permitting that it is awesome morning without rain. Yey!! 9 degrees Celsius.
After my breakfast of toasted bread and cup of Maxwell House coffee, watched the latest news on TV about the horrendous 7.7 mag. earthquake in Myanmar & Thailand. OMG! A building (under construction) collapsed like as if its pancake! So bizarre!! As of today, thousands been reported dead and thousand of inhabitants injured, Mind boggling. 🙏 Pray for the dead and the survivors of that devastating earthquake and hope they can still rescue some of those who were under the rubble.
Another news: JD Vance (US VP) was snubbed in Greenland by "cold" assertive inhabitants who despised other people who would like to buy Greenland. That's right. At least "buying is an option" instead of by force invasion. Actually there was a small military base in Greenland and in the North Pole. Is that not enough?
WHAT'S IN GREENLAND? Are there rare earth minerals on Greenland? Or because of its strategic location plus the water reservoir? FOR SECURITY REASON that USA would like a territorial claim on Greenland. Its more like its "Green bank." USA would like to be in the ARCTIC CIRCLE, I mean its TRUMP'S GOAL & AIM IN LIFE.
There are many sources of RARE EARTH from Russia, Australia, South Pole or Antarctica. Know what? Too many garbage in the USA & Canada because of its huge population you can find rare earth from all those garbage and make batteries from them. But because some humans would like instant gratification.
Next task to do for today: Wrap stuffing for spring rolls (50+). It took me 1 1/2 hour for the preparation and deep frying because I have to chop all ingredients first (onions, celery, carrots, cilantro, shrimps) glad that the garlic is already chopped then mixed all the ingredients with ground pork with 2 beaten egg, add salt and pepper. Have to thaw the springroll wrappers. Deep fried about 30 pcs. of spring rolls (lumpia) on hot boiling oil on medium sized wok. Spring rolls for lunch with chili garlic sauce and ketchup.
We have Echo pet to babysit today. She likes piece of spring roll, what can I say eh? Such a good dog that I gave her a warm bath with sweet smelling shampoo. She likes her bath unlike before as in she never gets scared anymore.
Laundry next, to vacuum carpet & floors. Thinking of what to cook for dinner for my family.
Truth is I have left over deep fried European sea bream (fish) and pinakbet so that's for my supper. My hubby and kids would probably have something else. I asked if they like barbecued chicken but hubby said they had chicken strips last night. Oh well, maybe pork chop or pork saute' with green beans good enough. He wants to have spaghetti once a week. Hmm...I don't really like spaghetti. I prefer lasagna.
I know, we're fuzzy eaters here at home.
When sometimes,it is way too easy to just have ramen noodles or instant noodles on a cup. lol
