Saturday Rant & Musing

Early morning ready for housework, with my basket full of laundry clothes and towels to wash. However, husband said I cannot do the laundry because I might wake up the neighbors next to our unit in the townhouse. That's what it is living in a townhouse, there's no sound proof between walls. You can hear the sound of machines: vacuum, dishwasher, laundry and dry machine when you are using one of these electronic appliances. Unlike if you live in a house where neighbor's house is just within a distance of at least 100 ft or if you live in the farm the distance from another neighbor would be at least 500 ft away or an acreage away.

If you live within a city, in the townhouse the next neighbor is just within a step away. Your front door is just a 12 inches to the neighbor's front door.  I know that's weird. If you live in a condo there is the main lobby for great entrance before proceeding to your own suite and at the lobby there is the front desk for information, post office boxes, and for the most modern condominium they offered great amenities and facilities such as grocery mart, video arcade, gym, and swimming pool. Luxury that only millionaires can afford. However in Canada, you can have a house worth millions of dollars without swimming pool. Yeah, million dollar houses without swimming pool. That's how expensive the cost of housing here. You have to build your own if you want one.

Maybe Canadians and Californians and Filipinos have different view about water. Or is it me that always wanting to see water or surrounded by water. Who knows right?

It was so hot once again that I pictured this in my mind.

Husband had the backdoor opened for few hours early morning to let the breeze inside the house. It is now 22 Celsius with door open. It was 30 C hours ago.

No wonder Manitoba was in ablaze again. After the evacuees went back home due to first wildfires of summer then more wildfires had struck them because of lightning and dry condition, fires spread faster in villages, consuming more trees. Smog caused by wildfires in Canada being blamed by Americans for not able to enjoy their summer vacation. Darn it. Who helped them put off wildfires in California? Please stop blaming each other. Calamities and disaster should be taken seriously and everyone should help one another... rescue one another in the face of these horrible situations. You'll never know when you're next.
