WHAT ELSE IS NEW?

IT's the 8th of JULY 2026  and it is only 14th degrees Celsius, would you believe? I love cooler temperature makes me breathe freely. A lot of things and events that happened many days ago and they were sort of controversial that's why for our supper we had pork sinigang again, you know that tamarind soup base eh." lol

So, the BC NURSES STRIKES happening this week and you cannot stop their aim and purpose. Let them make the noise and voice out their opinion and hopefully the Canadian Government can hear their plea & demands.

I don't really know what else their demands other than wage increase. I think their case is on per basis, on how the pressures and stress had affected their field of work. If you are a keen observant at the hospital, clinic or where those nurses work, do they really feel at risk? Do they really feel the pain? Do they really work the whole one hour without sitting down or have fun, laugh and or even smile on their cellphone? That's why, it has something to do with what ward or department those nurses are assigned to work on. ER and ICU are the wards that seemed to be where nurses feel on the spot of stress. And if there are other jobs that they should not allowed to do is cleaning the mess, mopping filthy floors, and they are not allowed or should not clean toilets. NURSES SHOULD NOT CLEAN TOILETS! Bear that in mind nurses! Each case is different. Not all of the nurses have the same problem and conflict at the workplace.

LOL. Some nurses are reading my  blog and misunderstood what I had posted here. LMAO. So weird that sometimes would like to write anonymously but it's too late.*

Maybe you don't know that my parents are HealthCare workers too (in Philippines) so I know how'd you feel. However they worked in a Military Hospital so the rules are more stricter, organized and they really follow rank & files. Their CO or Commanding officer was the Surgeon General/Cardiologist and the Head Nurse ranked Colonel (promoted to General in the 90's) . My Mother was a civilian nurse. My Father was the Chief Clerk at the Administration Office of the Hospital, he was a soldier and Red Cross MEDIC (Lieutenant)but already retired many years ago. Most of the Nurses are Military officers ranked from Lieutenant, Captain, Major to Colonel. Everybody wears uniform and everybody wears nameplate showing ranks. They followed the rules of course and the assigned task to them. Nobody has to do what others are doing each worker has specified assigned task. Nobody makes protest or rally even if during when Pres. Marcos was ousted to Hawaii and the new administration was put into place and how many months they have to wait for their salary. I remember when for about 2-3 months they were not receiving their monthly salary because the government was in "transitional stage."  There was a structural problem. Hey the Filipinos somewhat can manage 2-3 months without salary their resilience is much better they can work without pay but not over 3 months not over 4 months without pay because that's slavery. However, I think the Armed Forces made protest and had coup' d etat but this happened later in the years to come. When soldiers are not paid for their work, they have families to feed, clothe, send to schools and universities, bills to pay and mortgages... you know right there the story wont be the same as you know it. The MILITARY, the soldiers and their dependents have the best benefits: Medical, Dental Clothing Allowance, Bonuses, 13th month pay, Overtime pay, etc, etc. however if you are not paid for your monthly salary that's where the "war is."

--------------------------------------------------

There are hundred ways to cause war, there are million ways to SAVE LIVES. Do not waste people's money on war after wars causing death,  genocide, and suffering of those who were left behind.

That those nurses can just tell the Government that their profession is to SAVE LIVES. Saving life is more worthy of praise, justified & should at least have more rewards. Actually they should be given recognition, certification if their work had merit.

So what else is new?

Blue for the sky, ocean and green for  forest, trees, leaves and vegetation.
