Saturday Rants

I only had a half piece of blueberry bagel with butter and a cup of Maxwell house coffee/milk for breakfast. Hubby was in a hurry to go to work without breakfast so I decided to cook early for lunch. Forget the vacuuming of the carpet first thing in the morning, hmm, wait the vacuum is missing. Oh, I remember that hubby brought the vacuum machine at his workplace yesterday. Darn it. He should buy a vacuum for use in his work outside. OMG! Now, I don't feel like using that vacuum in our home. That's what it is. Vacuum machine is costly! The last vacuum machine we had, the Dyson vacuum machine is worth $500 + tax. The current vacuum we have is Bissel, works best for cleaning the carpet. We bought so many vacuum machines since year 1992. The first vacuum we had was Kenmore which lasted from 1992 to year 1995. Next vacuum was Eureka. It was good for some time until year 2000. Then had that Dirt devil vacuum we bought from K-Mart when they had their door shutdown. We cannot return it. All sales final that time. It had that crazy, annoying helicopter sound when it's turned on for usage. Next we bought another Eureka vacuum machine then Hoover. Oh, the Hoover machine was actually the carpet steam cleaner cuz I don't like renting the carpet steam cleaner from Overwaitea. Then bought another Kenmore vacuum, then the Dyson with rotating orange ball.  From then on vacuum machines are getting expensive and almost un-affordable. But we really have to own a vacuum or else another vacuum will soon come to do the vacuuming. lol, not what you think it is.

Anyway, I will spray that Bissel vacuum with insecticide just to make sure... it didn't bring any bugs from that place if there's any.

Now, I know why. Grrrrr...

Time to cook our meal for lunch.

At first had a chunk of pork in the microwave/toaster oven for 65 minutes making sure the pork rind's and skin gets crunchy. Then had a piece of chicken breast on the toaster/oven too for garnishing on fresh veggie salad with dill dressing. The oily fat from the chicken and pork was used for gravy sauce.

I baked sliced potatoes in the bigger oven. Steamed rice because two members of the family like rice instead of potatoes. Yup there is always like that, nobody have similar liking to the food being cooked at home.

I was thinking of having pumpkin pie for dessert and then when I opened the fridge...it's gone! That pumpkin pie on the photo image was from last Thursday when we had chicken curry and pancit for dinner.

Next, what to cook for dinner.

I'm thinking of deep frying tilapia, then we'll have steamed rice, and boiled broccoli. There's a left over bowl of vegetable salad with dill dressing so that's our simple meal for Saturday.

Today, Saturday is quite ordinary, not really cold with a temperature of 23 C inside the house and 12 C outside the house.

Nothing unusual as of this moment.
