PALM SUNDAY tomorrow. There's no coconut palm trees in Canada unless if you buy a palm tree that you can grow inside your house but that's not a guarantee that the palm tree will grow and bear coconuts. I had one palm tree before and hoping and praying it will last at least for 5 years but it did not. It survived to at least 2 1/2 years only. At least my bougainvillea is now about 6 years old.
Look at my very small bougainvillea plant here, year 2018.
It feels like being in a tropical country by looking at the palm. It would be nice to feel the warmth of the sun, the sunshine all day long... (sigh) after the long winter season.
Then I looked at our temperature gadget, it's only 5 Celsius outside. Duh! We have to adjust the thermostat to at least 20 C.
My bougainvillea that was bought at the time when we purchased the palm tree is about 8 ft. and still growing and extending its branches. I had to trim and prune it every year so that it wont grow that much or else my house would look like a jungle.
Me & jolly Echo.
Echo admiring the bougainvillea.
HAPPY PALM SUNDAY!!!
