Health & Wellness

I seldom call anybody through the landline phone. Actually our landline telephone has no use anymore. Ha ha ha! Anyway, I used it to call my sister who lives in another part of the city where I live. I want to know what's happening at her place and also to know if she already recuperated from the operation done on her knee last January 2019. Thank God, she is doing better and her knee is much better than before and stitches ok and knee has healed and she is doing her therapy by exercising in the pool. What? I was shocked! Really?! I can't believe that the therapy is on the water. Swimming pool has chlorine, it's chlorinated water on the pool! But that's the required therapy.

Her other leg and knee is hurting and she will have to undergo a knee operation later. Wow! WTH!
She told me that there are too many of them with the same kind of  ailment and doing the same therapy at the pool. OMG! Whatever! She has two daughters who are nurses so who am I to tell her that being on the chlorinated pool and the therapy is bad. I'm not a doctor and I'm not a nurse. So, maybe they are wiser than me eh? I'm only a graduate of Economics and I should be an Economist. However, I worked in a prestigious Pharmaceutical Company (noon)  and done voluntary work in the Hospital when I was younger. I read Medical books and of course I have a mind of my own.

 I think when it's time to NOT be a pushover. When you think a cure or therapy is bad for you learn to SAY NO or ask for alternative. Seems like a good story for THE GOOD DOCTOR. { How Dr. Murphy can stop a surgery or operation after finding through the Pathology Department analytical/lab test that an operation is not necessary?}

Modern therapy. I think there is that unusual therapy that I watched on TV, it was a movie starred by the talented actor Robin Williams (who committed suicide, R.I.P). Some therapists have unusual and unorthodox way to keep the patients happy forgetting that they are really sick and that the therapy works is like a placebo effect that helped keep the patient busy with something else forgetting about their hurt and pain. It's more of a psychological approach to conquer pain without the use of intensive care.

Last night, I was thinking of renting a movie DVD then opted to just watch a free movie entitled WARM BODIES. Extraordinary kind of zombie movie. The living dead were separated by a great, tall concrete wall and on the other side of the wall was group of the living survivors. One of the dead (zombie-looking younger man in his 20's maybe) fell in love with one of the renegades after consuming her boyfriend's brain. I know that's weird. However, Har didn't consume the girl. He didn't eat her alive.  Only in movies, where stories are untrue and unbelievable. After the flesh-eating session the zombies started feeling like humans. lol. You wished that's the story in THE WALKING DEAD but that television series is morbid and crazy. The movie story should end there with a twist but then they have a problem with the group of bones or those walking and running skeletons who were chasing them. What happened next is of course up to you to find out and watch that movie too. Truth is that's what happened during the Cold War. Or could be the Berlin Wall.

Did you know that watching TV and movies as a form of entertainment can also help you forget about pain?  In BC Hospital the use of  Virtual reality cameras are on trials to be used by patients undergoing surgery to ease the tension and pressure or to calm the patients. Know what? Those ocular Virtual reality cameras were used by Hell's Kitchen contestants and has affected their vision and of course made them vulnerable in performing their task as a cook.

Up to now, there is that group of people still in search for Anastasia. When in fact they are actually looking for anesthesia and honesty.
