Long Lasting Memory is Forever

Cheating in schools, cheating in order to be admitted in schools and university. Is that normal? Is that common? O_M_G! As if you don't know and not aware that cheating happens for a reason and it happens almost everyday, everywhere around the world. ? Really?  I don't know why it becomes the norm and I don't know why some people allowed the cheating and why some people are caught and why only now it was exposed? There are probably millions of them who had cheated their way to College or cheated their way to Board Exams to get the license. WHY?

Will you doubt a student who is very, very smart from Elementary to High School and then didn't pass the College Entrance Test? Will you have any doubt on intelligent students who were really bright from Elementary, High School to College and yet unable to pass the Board Exam for Engineering? Or a very smart student who has lots of potential and cannot pass the Board Exam for Accountancy that the Board can't give that person the CPA License,  label so that he can practice his skills? Or a bright student who had a problem passing the Board to become a Lawyer even if he is a former son of the President of the United States? JFK Jr. kept on testing himself, when he was alive. If he failed the first time, he tried the second one until he passed. Was he embarrassed that he didn't pass the first time?  He didn't use his family's connection. There are many humans who were born with silver spoon in their mouth who opposed the use of connection. You can always applaud them and respect them for their good values.

When somebody suffers, you can suffer with them. Not the kind of suffering of Jesus Christ. I meant it in a different way.

Why the most intelligent humans have to suffer? I like to ask that to myself when I was at the time of having my education from Elementary to College. The suffering was actually in terms of financial not the suffering of the minds. I think I have so much minding my own "business and minding other people's business." In my own mind that feels like a computer, actually I was called a robot and a statue. I don't show much feelings when I was in school. I don't smile. I was unable to laugh. The world is mine. I have a world of my own and if I want to include them in my own world then so be it.
I'm not bragging. I am not a genius just like the way "Young Sheldon" portrayed himself. Maybe if there is a computer way back then or I have a complete set of encyclopedia maybe there is a chance that I would end up like a genius, just like Dr. Jose Rizal. LOL. But our knowledge are limited in Elementary. Limited in the sense that textbooks provided by the teachers and schools are always enclosed inside the glass/steel cabinet and we relied on the teacher's lesson plan. Remember the limit of your knowledge depends on what your teacher has taught you in class and that's the one you have to study and memorize for exams. Easy? Not when those written lessons occupied your notebooks in 10 to 15 pages. Not if you have to memorize poems longer than 25-30 stanzas and recite the poem the next day after writing the poem on the blackboard to the notebook. Or all the 8 subjects you have to study (English, Pilipino, Math, Social Studies, Science, Music, Arts, P.E.) you are to follow rote system and have exams in all those 8 subjects within that day. Why the rote system? Most of the tests given are mostly enumeration. Well, as if you don't have household chores, as if you are not to fetch water until the drum is full of water at night until midnight. Education is not that easy in Philippines. Maybe it would be convenient if somehow you have all the financial capability not only in paying tuition fees but also in transportation, like being driven with air-conditioned car from home to school-school to house. It would be nice if that time you can avail of the fashion. It would be nice if you have bought all the required textbooks. It would be nice if the schools are equipped with all the convenience of schools and university with locker and clean washrooms. The schools during my time,  what the hell!!!!!! Where's the washroom? OMG!!!!!! Crazy! You have to run home and be like Supergirl or Superman to get to your home when you need to move your bowel. What if you have diarrhea? Darn it!

From Grade  1 to Grade 6 from High school... I learned to control my bowel movement. I made sure not to have breakfast. I made sure not to have any beverage, water or any kind of drinks in the morning. I think all my classmates had the same kind of bladder control. Or maybe they run home without me seeing them. They could be flying home. lol. Well, that's my concern. I looked and cared for my grade school classmates because I was a student-teacher. It was my responsibility to look after them because I was their Class President. I checked on them for their attendance, their test results, etc. etc. I had my VP,  Secretary, PRO, Auditor, Treasurer and Sgt. at Arms. I kept the classroom in orderly arrangement of things and made sure that we have school supplies, made sure the discipline is reached within boundary of the room. It was like Martial Law within the room. When the Principal (acting School Principal Mr. G. arrived to check on lesson plan when teacher was absent due to certain ailment) he used to ask if we need a substitute teacher but we don't need it when I was there to handle it with flying colors. My teachers are good and they were disciplinarians. They followed their own guts, they are smart, they know how to teach. Those were the days. No problem when I was there at school, besides were all children of soldiers. We are all smart! No doubt about it. Bragging? It's not bragging when it's the truth. It runs with DNA. If you like RNA that too, the message should be in order. No haywire. No cheating. Peace and order. It was Martial Law. Children and adults follow the rule of law. When you follow the rule of law, it feels right!

I could tell you the long detailed story but who cares? Everyday is a new day. Everyday is a new topic being revealed. I could tell you every name but do I have to? I have a very long memory.
Rote system had taught us that memory is of vital importance to your mind to your well being because if you didn't follow the rote system when you were younger nothing will stick and you probably will have dementia at very early age. Your medulla and brain cells can no longer be stretched as if eraser had erased your own existence. Your schools and other educational institutions will soon vanish, extinct, demolished, caught on fire, damaged by earthquake, or has expired or nowhere out but your memory lives forever. It's good to have memory. Don't tell me that only computers or your photo  memory cards  have memory. Everyone has a memory.
