It's funny how those politicians think that $2,000/month rent is affordable. Are you kidding me? Start including the many utilities in renting a house. What are those utilities? The heating: electricity, gas heat, plus the maintenance of the yard, the maintenance of the house having to buy cleaning supplies. The connection of television, internet, telephone, or option for cable/satellite dish. Are you not eating food? Food supply for ordinary family per month is $1,000, unless of course you want to eat fastfood at A&W, Wendys or McDonalds every morning or dine in at Moxie's, Cactus Club, Olive's Garden, Riptide, or the Red Lobster's or to any sushi cafe. But dining out will have you at a budget of at least $3,000/month.
With the lowest minimum wage of $12/hour in BC, what do you think of those millions of workers to be able to pay monthly rent of $2,000? They have to pay other things such as their car insurance, gas, car maintenance and supply (tires), they have to pay their medical and dental care unless if workers have those benefits provided by employers. Not too many employers provide free medicare and dental care.
What else? Oh, I know these politicians have the best of both worlds and they are in luxury of working for the people because their annual salary is rocket-sky high. Imagine they receive salary up to $100,000 per annum. They can afford to own a luxurious condominium unit in their urban community and can travel around the world but of course using people's tax money.
Nobody can afford that $2,000/month rent of a house. That would only mean the tenant will have to starve or use the availability of food bank. If the tenants have kids? I don't know how they can afford. Just a supply of baby's food and disposable diapers will land them into poverty. Why the population of Canada is low? Nobody can afford the high standard of living! Many couples would rather be childless than having to suffer poverty. Smart move?!
OMG! Thinking of those poor people gives me headaches. I should just relax and draw something here.
There are human beings who starve themselves, almost to death just to fit in to those lovely, gorgeous party ballroom gowns. They will have to economize, starve feeling anorexic because a popular designer's party gown is costly ($10,000- $100,000). The cheapest designer's gown probably worth $5,000 (almost worth an expensive diamond ring). For some of these women they wont eat for a month just to buy what they want and probably wont be able to buy any other things. You know be smart, you can buy slightly used ball gowns because you only have to use it once. Or sew your own party dress.
