HOBBIES

 Back to my Sewing project. As usual my project of sewing bag made of fabric is just my kind of hobby that I can afford. I know that there are too many hobbies out there that your skills are up to perfection however those hobbies could mean lots of financial means. 

Being frugal this year is a must. Year 2025 when hearsay about the high cost of living will double would you have such costly hobbies to make you busy and happy? 

Would you believe most banks have no money in it? It's all in the borrowing state. Most of them borrowed by creditors who owed lost sum of money for down payment for their would be houses. Next thing we know it's foreclosure time.

Any kind of hobby that is expensive and can break a bank is not worth it and if that is a business it is something that you must think twice or stop. STOP, LOOK & LISTEN.

These are hobbies that are costlier than you ever imagine: Boating & Fishing. Boating is costly because of the price of gas and seldom you can fish dozen salmons in 2-3 hours. Sometimes you might end up just catching one salmon or nothing at all. You can catch fish from the river though. Still you need a fishing license. Gardening is a kind of hobby for those with green thumbs. If you have the best soil in your garden then plant veggies and flowers. The amount of water and fertilizer is not that much so it's ok. What about Archery? I like Archery or target shooting but don't have a big space or large yard to do it. Actually my kids tried Archery just at the yard before. Not advisable if you have neighbors. You must live in a remote area far away from neighbors. Photography is my kind of hobby, it is my passion. How much is the microchip now for digital camera? I had about more than 5,000 photos in my file folder and still counting at this phase my camera is almost 12 years old. Some photos deleted. Still can take photos, functions are still perfect, however the lid to the chip and batteries are haywire already that I have to fasten  close the lid with tape. Darn it. Why, why, why? Crochet or knitting is great if you have all the materials. I have a crochet tools no yarn. I tried that hobby before doing crochet blankets for my babies. Crochet for throw pillows and crafts made from crochet. However I found out that I was allergic to wool yarn. 

There are too many hobbies worthy of keeping busy but comes along the monetary budget for such task. Most of the hobbies nowadays involved lost of money. Just painting, drawing, writing seems no  monetary involve. That's what you think. You need materials such as canvas, drawing boards, paper, sketch pads, drawing pencil, pens,  charcoal, colored pencils, crayons, acrylic paint, set of paint brush, easel, etc. In writing you can use different material either pen and paper, typewriter, or you can use the most modern equipment - computer. You can paint through digital paint task on your computer. You can write a story, blog or post anything through your computer and be a member of the Blogging Blogger community which is a  "free website." If you have the monies you can publish your own book.

However, COMPUTERS are getting costlier. Mr. BILL GATES should provide FREE COMPUTERS FOR THE GEEKS & TALENTED HUMANS who make use of computers as their equipment for talents.

Calligraphy, I was into calligraphy building my skills on it for the purpose of making greeting cards. Then it get so boring. I started a new hobby of Wreathmaking when I saw that the backyard had those abundance of wildflowers, daisies, dandelions and other wheat-like grain and some barleys have to dry them and with some twigs and branches managed to create adorable wreaths adding artificial birds and dry berries. Had given them as gifts to my in-laws and friends who adorn these wreaths on their walls.

There are too many hobbies such as cooking, baking, dancing and singing, reading, poetry, pottery,essay writing, watching TV and movies, jogging, exercising, cycling, swimming, biking, hiking, etc.  whichever can help you move on, to keep busy and make you attain happiness do it purposely and intelligently. 

 

Being a close confidante, being a good friend lending your ears to friends is not a hobby though you exert much time and effort doing so is good for the heart and conscience.
