Only the 12th of January 2025, Sunday and it's only 4 Celsius degrees friggin' cold. I've done my housework such as laundry, vacuumed carpets and floors, helped with the kitchen works and today another loads of laundry and ironing of clothes and bedding coordinates.
Husband had baked the last two loaves of bread, until the breadmaker machine fell on the concrete floor and got broken. Oh no! That machine was 20 years old. Darn it. The breadmaker machine was perfectly great for making and mixing dough the most convenient way. How it fell to the ground? The machine was on top of the counter hooked up to electric socket and while mixing the dough thoroughly the machine moves abruptly crazy and wire out from the socket and fell to the kitchen floor. That's weird. Is there an earthquake? Good that husband is at home and alert to know what's happening.
There is something about old stuff that we don't get rid of and still keeping them for sentimental value such as: Pyrex, Tupperwares and Corning wares.
My husband was keeping this set of Corning ware as he had them since he was a bachelor. I think Mom bought them for him.
Kitchen appliances we hold on to and hoping it wont get haywire or broke down. Because for whatever reason some appliances nowadays are easily get broke down for just a year. Fridge that could only last for 4-6 years when they supposedly last for 10 to 20 years at the most. Stove/oven + dishwasher + washer + dryer that should last to 20 years only lasted for 6 years.
Hey people check your HOT WATER TANK. That hot water tank could only last 8-10 years. Don't wait to smell radon in your house to get rid of your old hot water tank.
