SAINT Bernadette Soubiros

 THE SAINT

SAINT BERNADETTE born in Nevers France on January 7, 1844. A patron saint of Lourdes,France. Known to have hundreds of miracles attributed worthy to be one of the most saintly figure in History.

HER life was well recorded from at the time that she was born after her demise that she is not a legend. She is a true story.

While Saint Joan of Arc's record of time only had been stated as in 15th Century.

Did you know that the History of Philippines had been recorded in time during the early navigation in 1521 when Ferdinand Magellan summoned by the King Of Spain Felipe to explore the island they once called "Paradise."  It was a religious pilgrimage or is it a scientific exploration? Truth be told that when the Spaniards came to Philippines in 1521, the Early Filipinos already had a form of government, they were already civilized and had their own culture, had their own alphabet, and barangays are ruled by Datu or chieftains (they had their Royalty as in they had Kings and Queens and prince and princesses).

When the Spaniards and Magellan came to Mactan (Visayan region - the middle part island of the Philippines they built the cross to set the landmark). They don't have clock or wristwatch, they have hourglass and compass. What's that cross symbolized? Is it about religion? Or there must be something worth to think about?  Humans ancestors are smarter than some humans here in our generation but they don't know yet how the Earth revolves around the sun once they figured out that the sun actually rises from the East and set down on the West through the 180 degrees (360 degrees d. the whole circle) Their scientific exploration has led to the original record of time and calendar was then created. Accurate time recording is beneficial nowadays. Nobody wants to be left behind.

What those Spaniards had established were Cathedrals, schools and universities. One of the oldest university -  University of Santo Tomas which is still standing in Manila.

Anyway, we're going too far away from the most important purpose in our life.
