I told you before that my ART is always a work in progress and why not? Consider it as the "unfinished business" and something for me to be busy about. I don't neglect my work at home so no worries. We have to indulge in something that makes us happy and contented instead of doing something like wasting time like galavanting. It is not my problem if others do it on purpose or relentlessly finding happiness out away from their own own home. Some people's happiness are away from home and we cannot blame them.
What life would be if you are within boundaries of contentment?
Let say you were born during WWII and after the war, you live in the Philippines. Let say, you owned a farm land. You are to begin with your family in a complete setting of being in a farm and what life is being offered abundantly to such wonderful nature.
Your husband is a hardworking farmer cultivating the arable lands for planting rice in a vast wide array of space - the rice field. Then cultivate a part of such land for crop rotation planting vegetables.
It was such a simply ordinary life of being a farmer but it's all hard work. You all benefited from their hard work because without them you wont have rice. Rice is a very important staple food for the Filipinos and all the Asian people. Philippines is considered the rice granary of Asia for such a very long time until Thailand becomes the producer of world's rice production. Blame it on high technology.Carabao became extinct when modern machineries were introduced to Philippines. Seldom you see carabao or water buffalos in Asia. Were they really extinct already?
Let say, your oldest daughter takes pride in loading harvested edible farm products to market. From the banca to loading and hauling them to sell them in the public market. The oldest daughter knew her task and chore also providing her own finances for her studies.
The second oldest son was out in the ocean early morning... catching school of fish.
The mother? What the mother is doing? Is she galavanting or partying away from home?
Not a chance, Filipina women are known for as mothers doing their part, family oriented doing her daily task of laundry while watching her kids at the same time.
And you think they all looked like everyday housemaids.
Wait for Sunday mass as they all prepared, clothed and groomed themselves
religiously as it is traditionally and attends to the Barrio Fiesta.
LIFE AS WE KNEW IT.
NOTE: If you are wondering if the story above is real or fiction? TRUE STORY real life story that belong to my Father's father VERDAD family and my Mother family side life in the farms. They owned farmlands for rice production, coconut plantation for fresh buco, copra, tuba wine production and so much more including raising poultry and farm animals.
