It was such a very busy day in Willow Point don't know why. There was a traffic jam wondering what's the occasion or is there an on-going highway constructions? Maybe. Then I realized its gonna be a long weekend (Labor day on Monday) so families have enough time to keep their kids happy with whatever outings or holidays they are up to.
We had pork loin roast yesterday with mustard + steamed rice + scalloped potatoes+ corn on the cob. So we had lumpia for lunch with chili sauce and tonight we'll have panfried tilapia + rice + veggies (stir-fry ground pork/shrimps with zucchini, carrots, onions, mushrooms).
Wrapped 100 pcs of lumpia for storage in the freezer.
Why we always have fish? Fish is actually a healthy diet for everybody. Meat is fattening you know. There's more cholesterol in meat: pork, beef, chicken.
Don't you like going to the wet market? There is no wet market here in the city where I live. All the fish are frozen and sold in supermarket. In the wet market you can touch those variety of fish. You can see and touch the gills and stare at those fish eyes if they are fresh or not. You can smell those fishes too. In the Philippines there are so much species of fish such as: milkfish, tuna, ling cod, rock cod, red snapper, kingfisher, pompano, bass, herring, anchovies, biya, sapsap, halibut, trout, mackerel, too many to mention. Its like we eat fish more than we eat meat in Philippines. Protein rich fish actually + omega oil. Fishes usually give omega +.
For whatever reason my husband loves tilapia more than the salmon. lol. So be it. It's fine with me and tilapia is too easy to cook because they were already cleaned and fillet we just have to thaw them and dip them one by one on beaten eggs then sprinkle with breadcrumbs with salt/ground pepper and fry on hot boiling canola oil. Yum!
We're back to babysitting Echo & Raven. Mia has returned to UBC, Duane's back to work and by the way, thanks for a bag of fresh plums and pears.
My bougainvillea bloomed on 8 different branches, however the color of the flowers is plain pink don't know why. It could be the air, the soil and because we never take the big pot outside the yard. Its okay, Autumn 's soon approaching as early as much anticipated.
