HAPPY SAINT PATS!

What's this I heard about News Networks should renew their license in broadcasting or pay the price. Whatever! Anybody can broadcast the NEWS as long as it is the truth and nothing but the truth. It is all the lies that we have to be worried about. STOP being complicit to wrongdoings.

HAPPY SAINT PATRICK'S DAY people! Even if I am not an Irish just want to make fun of  this very special day. While the rest of Canadians had celebrated it last Sunday at their favourite pub & restaurants. I don't drink so I'm out. Cranberry juice or Fanta orange would be just good as beer. lol

I recently baked a blueberry/carrot/banana with cinnamon loaf bread. It didn't last long for the next day, my husband likes it. I was thinking of baking a lemon loaf bread next but what I have is lime juice in a bottle. Darn! There are things that I would like ready at my pantry such as bottle of teriyaki, jar of garlic bean sauce, can of chick peas, laurel leaves, saffron, package of Nori seaweeds for sushi, mayo for sushi. All those stuff that I need for specialty cooking different from our ordinary cooking. However, husband is the kind of guy that he only want to shop for whatever he likes to cook or else our budget for meals would exceed $1,500/month. Not that bad actually because we don't really get out to dine in fastfoods and restaurants. Husband's not happy dining out because it would cost us more than one week grocery bill for just one time dinner you know what I mean? Besides he loves my culinary expertise that's why. lol Then he learned how to cook Filipino foods and now in competition with me. He knows how to cook Pork Sinigang, Adobo, Pancit, Sopas, Pork & Green Beans saute' then Lechon,Panfried Tilapia and or Milkfish etc. Our meals varied differently from time to time, sometime we love having Italian foods:Spaghetti, Lasagna, Fettuccine, Carbonara, Macaroni & Cheese. Sometimes all Chinese foods: Chow mein, springrolls, eggrolls, egg fu yung, chopsuey, Chinese curry, boneless pork, bbq pork satay, etc. We experimented on Mexican foods: Chicken Fajitas, no tacos. Spanish foods: Caldereta, Menudo, Empanada. Japanese food: just simply California rolls. Most of the time it's Canadian food on the menu.

I must admit our menu is a mixed of everything. In all those meals, there is always a bowl of veggies. My children are not really interested on eating vegetables but they always prefer steamed rice over boiled potatoes. Husband is White Canadian and always have teaspoon full of butter and spread it on top of the rice! Hmmm... that's how he was brought up. While in Philippines what some people do? Pour little amount of soy sauce on their plate of steamed rice (how you dip your sushi on the soy sauce).

So it is Tuesday today and hope and pray it wont rain again. We had so much downpour yesterday and the yard was so wet and muddy. I had just given Raven & Echo a bath and don't like them playing on muddy ground.

CIAO FOR NOW & HAVE A GREAT DAY!🙌
