EASTER

I was too busy to blog yesterday, got so many things to do. I have several photos I haven't even uploaded yet in my picture folder.

I was asked why I don't draw bunnies or rabbits for the Easter celebration. Uhm, I have many drawings of them in previous artworks. I posted them here just scroll the pages. But here's my question why is a bunny or rabbit a representation of EASTER? Supposedly it is the resurrection and rebirth of JESUS CHRIST. What the bunny or rabbit got to do with it?

Tell me why.Wouldn't it be better if BUTTERFLIES as a representation for its METAMORPHOSIS?

Sure is a modern day commercialization  something of VERNAL EQUINOX. Bunnies are everywhere at Springtime.

Sure is EASTER is celebrated in the EAST that's why we have it on the 4th not on the fifth. Then some positive thinkers said there is Easter Monday! Duh. So that it's not too late to buy chocolates!!

It is also a commercialization of Chocolates! lol BUY MORE!!

And adopt a rabbit instead of cat!

You know tradespeople are being creative to promote Christianity in a matter of what brings people to buy stuff.

By the way, today is the birth anniversary of Italy's famous painter and architect RAPHAEL who painted most of the paintings for the altars in Italian Church most especially at the Vatican. One of his famous paintings are the Cherubins, the Saints & Angels, and the Transfiguration.
