Hawak mo ang gabi!))) That's right, gabi or taro leaves one of my favorite viands. Sarap kasi ng "laing at pinangat."

I'm craving for "pinangat with creamy coconut cream."
Darn! Hard to find fresh taro leaves because Superstore and Walmart do not sell taro leaves. You can only find this rare taro leaves at TN& T Asian Stores in Alberta and mainland Vancouver.
It's okay, some other time we'll have more gabi leaves to cook. For the meantime, I have to cook other viands worthy for lunch & dinner. We had beef pasta carbonara the other day, then special pancit the next day, pork tapa & panfried tilapia yesterday, and today maybe burger & fries.
I had my blood-work yesterday so I can indulge on my favorite foods. I was thinking of making sushi but that can wait, maybe when my son comes home from the mainland because he loves sushi. Easy to grill burger so that would be for tonight's dinner. Lunch? It could be pork/veg dumplings or hotdogs and buns with relish. Easy peasy lemon squeasy.
It would be nice to have a group picnic depends on invite. lol. Opsi, I don't really feel getting out today. Looks like it will get sunny but still is cold outside. Where I live weather temperature changes every hour. It is not definite nor permanent weather temp. At this time of the year, tree flowers are in bloom, flowers everywhere and pollen as usual in the air and no matter how good your health you can get affected by pollen and you'll have itchy eyes and itchy nose. Next thing you know you'll have cough and colds. For some people that doesn't matter picnics along the beach at SIHW. Good for them. I don't think they are the locals, maybe they are here at the island as tourists. Spring is when spring salmons such as pinks are in abundance so they probably are into fishing and boating through Discovery Passage to Quadra island and they can go sailing up to Brown's Bay. Hubby's not into boating and fishing anymore as the price of gas goes crazy everyday.
And my housework: laundry and vacuum can wait because it is only 7 am. We have a new neighbor and the noise from the machines might wake them up.
