Experience Is The Best Teacher

Hot VH Cooffee and a piece of pie (blueberry-banana) for my very unusual breakfast. Husband had ham sandwich for breakfast before heading for work. So much of that left-over turkey which is our lunch for today. I don't eat turkey so I don't know if it tastes good or what. But maybe it's delicious for them,  who loves the turkey.

We missed one member of our family. My son had to celebrate it with his two aunts in the mainland. But when I asked him if he enjoyed his turkey dinner there, he told me that he works full time now at the workplace and still studying. OMG! I don't know how he can concentrate that much in his studies when he works. When I was in College, I have 18 units to master (meaning 6 subjects to study and sometimes quizzes and exams went simultaneously crazy). 23 units if I have Botany subject to tackle with. If I have to study and work with 23 units or 18 units? OMG!!!!! I'll be dead.

I'm proud of my son who manages to work and study everyday. I don't know how he can do it but it was tough. "I wished am a millionaire or at least financially endowed" to send him to University and finish his University degree without the need to work.  The good thing about here in Canada, students can get a loan and obtain it from banks that you can trust. Politicians promising about certain "promises" on  students to help pay their way to College. However their promises are only promises to ease the election process. We don't really know what they will do and can't do once they are in office.

At one point in time in the U.S. when Sen. Elizabeth Warren was opinionated on helping American College students. Hey, her idea is such a smart move. As I told you before, in Germany there is that University where you can enroll free, no need to pay tuition fees. Amazing! You wished that's also available in Canadian Universities.

Scholars can obtain free schooling at a percentage rate that what is available on written agreement. So, it's not a guarantee that it will be 100% free. There are only few College students in Canada, because majority of College students in Canada are foreigners or the sons and daughters of immigrants. Not too many Canadian-born who are heading to College or University but because you can get a job once you graduated from High School. It means  that having University degree is not really a " priority" in many available work in Canada. If you know what I mean. Experience is always required when it comes to finding work. You can be a College graduate but if you don't have an experience then that's a minus. Work experience, natural talents  and naturally acquired skills are always the best way to get ahead no matter what.
