Keeping Busy In BC

 

While "we"  watched hubby finish his job of lawn-mowing.

Keeping the yard neat  and in order.

Fixing fences.

And several odd jobs. What else to do when you are age 78 and retired? 

One of those old people have to assure themselves that being busy keep troubles away. However at this age when OAS is just barely not enough because of the high cost of living and high cost of health care when that heart medication can cause senior citizen $7 per tablet. The on-going debate at the Parliament when it comes to inflation and high cost of living seems almost a repetition of a subject that never ends. The question of what and how are they going to solve such problem? Increase the OAS & CPP the solution for those old stock Canadians, the pioneers, the old people, the hardworking senior citizens of Canada. Politicians should and must act now before it's too late. Before they turned older than who they think they are. Those politicians are not young anymore they are older than you are and yet they don't include the old people in their debate on the high cost of living. I don't know if they have parents. Maybe they are aliens! lol.

I'm 60 years old. You are probably younger than me and you are probably earning wages of $16.75 per hour but when I started working here in Canada, the minimum wage was only $6.50 - $7.50 in between that situation even if I have work experience. But you know what? The rent for a brand new 2 bedroom house (with 5 appliances utilities not included) that period of time was only $650/month. While at present situation year 2023, a 2 bedroom house, brand new with 5 appliances, utilities not included at a cost of $2,000/month. Would you believe? $16.75/hour minimum wage wont go too far. Even if you are earning $20/hour. Know why? Employers or business establishment would offer 4 hours maximum for every employee and that employee could work in another company to earn extra wages. Giving  8 hours per day to any worker would mean giving the worker benefits and thus the employer especially small businesses cannot afford. Think about it.

Think about how billionaires would rather prefer to have robots in their business establishments. How and why billionaires can afford to stay in business? Think about this...are you the MODERN DAY ROBOTS?

So that's it. Why iRobot is a chaotic, tragedy.
