BC TOUR: VICTORIA, BC

VICTORIA the famous capital of British Columbia. Husband and I woke up very early to get there, arrived at 5 am to have breakfast but then all restaurants and fast foods were full of people, locals and tourists Its' hard to believe that we have a problem where to park our car and then we found one too far away from our first destination.  So we went for a walk at the front of the BC Parliament Building and had out photographs taken. I also bought some postcards from the greeting shop nearby and I also purchased an amethyst necklace. Had our panacoccus Norwegian pancake and a cup of hot coffee from a stall that too had people in line waiting for orders then afterwards  we entered a building for the HOUSE OF WAX.

Remarkable pieces of arts housed in the ROYAL HOUSE OF WAX, all the mannequins of course are made from wax. I had my picture taken with the Royal Family at the background: Queen Elizabeth II, King Philip, Prince Charles & Princess Diana.

Then next the waxed images of King Henry the VIII and his wives. I don't want any pictures of them actually and other horrible and horrendous images. It's gross and scary! Well its different from watching horror movies. Right there in that House of Wax are paraphernalia of horror gory guillotines and beheading of those "British subjects." I don't know if its still in that House for people to see.

The weather kind of mild, not too hot and not cold either. To walk around in Victoria that precious day is one of a kind. It feels like being in European country.

I must admit the MINIATURE WORLD is fun and exciting to see with those Liliputian "world of little people" in a castle. There are replica of STAR TREK and science fiction models. You the visitors looked like the GIANTS among those dwarfs.

After we had finished viewing the Miniatures, we queue for such a long line to be served at the restaurant close to the bridge and ordered Italian foods for lunch. It was such a busy day in Victoria.

Next stop, at the MUSEUM where the MUMMY was featured for the event. Pictures taken here and there but don't really know where those pictures now. It's a mystery.

Husband wants to see what's underneath that  sea, it was an aquarium down beneath the huge boat DESCEND BENEATH THE SEA, don't really know what it is just that we follow the arrows going down that area and the huge aquarium offered a huge whale, sharks and all kinds of fish swimming harmoniously as in symbiotically to be admired by viewers. We sat there for a while and watched the school of fish and other marine creatures.

From one building to another, walking leisurely without getting tired. I don't really get tired. Husband has to find a place where we can stay for the night, he used his cellphone and borrowed a telephone directory book from the local vendor. Check hotels and motels for vacancy for almost an hour. Finally it was already past 8 pm when we checked in at the motel, 10 kms away from main Victoria suburb and ordered our dinner delivered to the motel. Why motel not hotel? The EMPRESS HOTEL is fully booked. Not too many hotels in Canada. Too many motels though. Motels are simply those one or two or 3 story levels of condo units and hotels are more like high- rise buildings that have more than 30 to 40 story or level towering over each other just like skylines in New York or BGC or along Ayala Avenue.  That's how super busy and bustling Victoria in 1993. If you want a grandest holiday you have to book early for your own convenience otherwise you'll end up looking for staycation hotel or motel outside of Victoria. What happened with us is just that random visit and snapped photographs of all the beautiful scenery beyond what I could see with my own eyes and of course they all  are worthy of safekeeping.
