There are many beautiful spots in the Philippines that are worthy of a tour such as the Banaue Rice Terraces in Baguio City, It is a UNESCO's Heritage Site. Every heritage site has amazing history of how it was created or built but it always point out of how the people lived and survived during the ancient civilization. How for many years now their lives still are in the same "nostalgic atmosphere" as if untouched by modern civilization thus preserving their own existence from hundreds of years.
NAYONG PILIPINO if you are interested, a whole park is a "model replica" of the whole Philippines put into one all the most important and valuable landmarks from Luzon, Visayas & Mindanao. The LUZON island has the site of the famous Mayon volcano, Taal volcano, rice fields, coconut groves, ylang-ylang & sampaguita plants, the carabao, the rice terraces, handwoven fabrics and handicrafts, nipa huts, etc. VISAYAN region has all what you can see from Visayan island such as the Mactan heritage site, etc. MINDANAO features the Muslim sailboats, house on stilts, musical instruments kolintao, drums, singkil equipment, armors, swords and bolos, etc. If you visit Nayong Pilipino you almost had seen the whole Philippines in one full day of stroll or maybe come back for another day because there are so many things to see. The weather would be freaking so hot that you have to wear appropriate clothing (cotton or linen), you must have umbrella, wear hats, or maybe this time they have a golf cart for the sightseeing tour for easy convenience.
Just like Canada has its own Natives or Indigenous People: First Nations, Metis & Inuits. Their paraphernalia are then restored in Museums. Their century old relics were then returned by the Vatican (Rome) which the Indigenous leaders will take care and have those relics preserved in their own museums and heritage institutions in Canada.
The United Nations UNESCO projects to restore, preserve and protect valuable, most important heritage sites in every country and that we have to praise UNESCO for such well endowed endeavor.
UNESCO—the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization—is a specialized UN agency established in 1945 to promote world peace and security through international cooperation in education, the arts, sciences, and culture. Headquartered in Paris, it works to advance human rights, protect heritage, and achieve sustainable development. [1, 2] c/o Wikipedia.
